DPC only useful number to see how close we really are was in the 20/06 report where he said he had 100+ animations rendered.

We don't know the final number, but a ~20% increase from last time is a reasoable guess based on past trends.

So that would puts us on 480 total animations for EP 12, with a 100 done by june. If we are lucky, the number should be 200 now since the number of rendered animations was 54 in the 11/04 report.
You're forgetting though that DPC has a habit of saying they've created however many nominal amount of animations and then they merge them and suddenly they have a completely different number of animations. It's basically a completely useless measure until they say they've finished creating them.

Here is part two of my sad little choose-your-own-adventure. I'll include part one down below. I'm trying to keep each part a short read and am using our familiarity to the story and plot to keep this simple. I don't need to write a full book here.
If we continue this badly written silliness, your choices will be driving the story, so I have absolutely no idea where this is heading! :ROFLMAO:

The winner (loser) of the votes last round was- Steve. (Bye, Steve). Let's go:

As chaos begins to erupt on the grounds of the campus entrance, you quickly assess your options. The restless mass of individuals is getting uncomfortably close, yet you are temporarily distracted with two different scuffles taking place simultaneously nearby; Dawe, (oblivious to the dangers building around the small group) launches his drink container at Cathy’s face. She appears to be unfazed by the provocation so you turn your attention to an altercation between Steve and Josy.

“C’mon, Josephine!”

“It’s Josy and I’m not interested. Now, let go of me!”

You realize all too late that the unwanted horde of zombies has descended upon the tiny survivor group. You yell instructions to move inside the nearby building as the chaos hits.

You manage to momentarily keep the undead at bay with hands and fists while the group scrambles through the entrance into the reception area.

Suddenly, a surge pushes some vicious individuals through their ranks. Half of the survivors have made it inside, only you, Dawe, Josy and Steve remain.

The zombies attack from both sides of the entrance.

You start with Dawe first and attempt to shove him roughly toward and through the doorway. Unfortunately, this results in Dawe retaliating by knocking you backwards into Steve repelling him down the steps into the arms of the writhing horde. They bite into his neck's flesh and tear out his throat immediately, there is nothing left to do but to grab Josy’s arm and enter the reception center yourself.

You only allow one doubt to briefly linger, could you have managed that better?

Inside the survivors have all started gravitating into pairs. Each has a different idea where to go next.

-Cathy (standing near Dawe) wants to head towards the kitchen/cafeteria and staff room to look for other faculty.

-Dawe wants to find a way to the gym and the tri-alpha fraternity building to find his jock brothers.

-Derek (standing near Maya, but focused mostly on Cathy’s chest) wants to make a break for the large nearby mansion you saw when you arrived on the college campus.

-Maya, apparently Derek’s fraternal twin, wants to head toward the dorms for general supplies.

-Josy, thinks you should try to find somewhere to barricade and hole up in like the library or auditorium.

Whose idea do you convince the group to follow in round 2 of-
The ZombiDIK Apocalypse?

A mysterious and deadly infection has broken out. The infected are becoming increasingly aggressive and violent.

You and your father Neil, a fighter whose strength equals your own, are unexpectedly temporarily separated. You are determined to find and rejoin your father. Together, the father & son duo would be formidable, apart, you are in serious need of food, weapons, supplies, and fighting support.

You stumble upon a college campus, there are several survivors huddled around the pavilion. Nearby, shadowy figures are milling about in the distance slowly gathering in strength.

Out of the corner of your eyes, you see the shadow mass inching closer. They suddenly lunge at the survivors.

You are in desperate need of weapons and supplies, but first you must attempt to save the survivors with only your fists, feet, and fast reflexes.

You can save 5, but 1 is lost.

Steve- a convenience store employee, seemingly harmless, but obnoxious. His bad attitude is his only known strength.

Josy- Steve’s co-worker. Small in size, showing a roguish tendency, a potential spitfire.

Derek- a chronically shirtless new student, a ne’er-do-well, but well meaning jester.

Maya- Derek’s twin sister. An introvert, her quiet determination may hide a secret strength.

Cathy- One of the college instructors. Her mature knowledge and guidance might come in handy.

Dawe- A dim witted jock. His potential strength is spoiled by his stupidity.

Who will you save and who will die? In… round 1 of-

The ZombiDIK Apocalypse

That'd true, animation files and animations are two distinct things and complicate things further.

Either way I still believe DPC crossed the 200 full animations rendered mark mostly due to his new hardware.
Given the BigTable shows that there is zero consistency between number of animations, total running time of animations, and development time I don't put any trust whatsoever in those numbers.

About the only consistent metric we have is more static renders means more development time, but even then we don't really know how many renders an episode will have or the complexity of them compared to previous episodes until the episode is released.

Christ, when it comes to how development is going I'm going more off of "have they written about any disasters yet" than anything else at this point and so far this episode has been pretty much disaster free, which is the first time since probably pre-Interlude that that's been the case.

My bet the Jade tape comes out for the cliffhanger
That video is optional so it's not going to be the cliffhanger. In fact it isn't just optional but straight up discouraged and sometimes even blocked. At this point a player will only choose to have it if they are looking to play an asshole run. Not just a DIK run, an asshole run.

Getting together with Maya and Josy blocks you from fucking Jade so the video can't exist in the first place. If you want Sage's ILY you can't fool around with Jade and the video won't exist. If you want Jade's ep 11 content you can't show the video to Derek and MC deletes it from his phone.

So far there are no consequences on Jill's or Bella's paths for showing the video, but I doubt that will last.

There's always a teacher sex tape, and it always leaks :HideThePain:
Actually Jacob is innocent. Burke will always get his hands on the video...

That seems a reasonable prediction, given the trend of previous releases.

Jeez... when the last episode is out the sons of our sons will be on age to play it.

I just finished episode 11 and missed out on party S rank by like 200 points. What does S rank give, is it worth going back to try and get S?

At best, it'll probably unlock some special renders come end of season 3. IIRC failing to repair the mansion in time in S2 only denied you a single scene with Quinn and stopped Rusty getting laid so basically zero consequences unless you were really interested in that.

Moving to a different topic, for the longest time Sally's mask in episode 11 kept reminding me of something but I couldn't quite place it:

Well now I've remembered it and it's the splicers from Bioshock:
