I think it's a possibility, yes, because I don't see it being just a party for DIKs, Jocks, HOTs, and the other regulars, I could see this being a party that's put on by them for the whole college where all are welcome because it's in a neutral location. This is NYE, after all, which means the party can be more like that because of the occasion, but also with this being the big season finale that leads us into the final season, having almost every character of note here adds to the drama of all these plot threads potetially coming together in one spot, especially when you consider he said he's working on about 80-90 events just within the party itself.

So someone like Cathy could be there as a guest of Jade's, Troy would be there because he's a student, same goes for the feminists, and even Preps could be there because it's open to all students.
I'm not even explicitly asking whether they'll be invited so much as whether they'll want to go. It's gonna take a lot to make Cathy want to come back to the school for a student-organized party after the students humiliated her and forced her to leave altogether. I can't picture Troy wanting to party with either frat, given they both hate him. I could maybe see the feminists showing up after hearing about the panty party and deciding they need to make sure no sexist bullshit is going on(and Linda wanted free food) but even they feels like a bit of a stretch.

I think we're most likely to get the DIKs, HOTs and Alphas all partying together, possibly with the preps and the Betas if we really wanna push that the party is the culmination of Magnar's grand plan; I don't think it will be, but I do think it'll play into it. We'll likely have the usual suspects, students who aren't technically affiliated with any frat but show up to lots of stuff. I think several of the dorm girls are going to be out of the picture due to the feud they have with the DIKs, unless that gets magically solved 20 minutes into the episode. Staff, I think, are largely pushing it, though maybe one or two showing up could be made viable.

But even with all that said, I still don't really see why there's this insistence on cramming as many named characters as possible into the scene. We've got plenty of unnamed background characters from various other parties whose models already exist. Why wouldn't any of them show up? I know there's some murkiness about whether Season 4 will be an actual season or just a really long epilogue but I can't imagine that the New Year's party is going to be the big climax of the entire game and that everyone needs to be there for it because there's just far too many storylines not even close to wrapping up. Even if DPC pulls yet another bait and switch and tries to justify it with some "in life things don't always go the way you expect them to" bullshit like his last game, I simply don't know what would be happening at the party that requires every attendee to be someone we know by name and feel is important enough to keep notes about in our phone. I think its entirely likely 20-30 of them will just be random background students who we don't care about; some might even get a little fleshing out during this party, like others have gotten in the past.

Just Caleb. Dawe acknowledged it was only him in Ep 10.

And DPC has about 20-30 unnamed models he's used in parties before, namely in Ep 8 and Ep 9. So even if not all of these named characters are there, he has more than enough character models to make up the numbers.

Exactly. This compromise satisfies no-one. The only compromise that works is a joint party.

Yeah, that was settled after Ep 10. The DIKs aren't doing anything more about it.

Brushing them off as just generic to try and fit your notion they're separate parties and they just happened to get the same ones is a losing argument.

Literally nothing can be determined from a blurry, pixelated reflection in an eyeball. You're just inventing something out of nothing.

Because as we repeatedly say, the only compromise that makes sense is a joint party. Splitting the girls across 2 different parties satisfies nobody and would be a stupid thing to do.

So what? Yeah, they have bad blood, everybody knows that, but it also needs to stop. Holding on to bad blood and grudges does nobody any good and if these guys are going to grow to become proper, mature men, then they need to get over this and learn to coexist. A joint party, given all the recent events and the animosity is the only thing that makes sense right now, make them cooperate and share the girls in a single party rather than trying to play tug-of-war with them.

You clearly have hang-ups of not wanting to ever forgive the Jocks if you were in this situation, but that matters little to me. What matters most to me is that a joint party is the most logical, and yes, even realistic thing that is going to happen here, not just because of the clear scope of the party, but also to try and tamp down some of the tensions between them by essentially forcing cooperation.

I will enjoy watching you crash and burn when the episode is out and it's one party :ROFLMAO:
Nothing was resolved in Episode 10 regarding the destruction of the Mansion. The only compromise was for the HOTs to alternate celebrating with the ALPHAs and then with the DIKs. As far as I know, the HOTs ended up celebrating with the ALPHAs last. Furthermore, I recall that neither side was satisfied with the compromise. Sage's only action was to prevent an immediate escalation, as the ALPHAs and DIKs had almost come to blows.

Besides, what you're calling a compromise was nipped in the bud, considering the jocks' reactions in Episodes 10 and 11.

I think you're forgetting something. You're not the MC. You can make choices, but you can't control his thoughts and feelings. I think we've all had moments, regardless of our route, where the MC didn't behave the way we wanted, but we had to accept it. You don't want to hang out with alphas? Neither do I, but the MC doesn't care, and he'll still go to the party in episode 7. He's cool with Anthony, he's cool with Chad, and he's even trying to defuse the situation with Dawe. The MC doesn't seem like the type of person who hates alphas (and I'm saying this as someone who has fought alphas in all my playthroughs). It's likely that the Diks will be against the idea of a group party. However, as always, the MC will act as the voice of reason and suggest that they need to compromise if they want to celebrate the New Year with the hots.
Also, as I said in a previous post, you have Sage who could give them an ultimatum that if they don't agree to a joint party then she will tell the HOTs they won't be partying with either of them ever again until they stop fighting over them. That would easily get them to the negotiating table and make them agree to a joint party.

I admit that makes sense, but there is one question. Why should the MC be at the alpha party? Dawe hates the MC. If the MC wins the tournament, this hatred will increase exponentially. Why should he invite the MC to the party? And most importantly, why should the MC accept? Who in their right mind would give up a dick party for an alpha party? The version with a general party seems much more logical. The idea that half of the players will miss out on an 87-person party to hang out with the Alphas, Sarah, Melanie, and Ariett seems silly to me.
The idea that winning the tournament get hims invited to a Jocks party is so silly to me. Aside from the fact the tournament is optional, I highly doubt the Jocks would gain some sort of respect for him that they'd want him at a party they're hosting. And yes, most players wouldn't even want to choose that over a DIK party.

You're never going to stop, are you? I don't give a damn about Quinn, and neither do you, but if you think that DPC is going to take her out of the game and flush the entire relationship between her and the protagonist down the toilet, then you just don't understand this game.
Riona's return doesn't pose a threat to Quinn because Riona is an accomplice. She can't go to the police, and she can't even tell Sage everything, because she would have to admit that she's a criminal and that she's been deceiving Sage for a long time, just like Quinn.
Quinn is definitely not leaving this game. She may not come back to college, but she'll still stay somewhere local and her story is by no means over because she still has a part to play. You're right, anyone who thinks she's completely gone does not understand this game or the story at all.

I think his point wasn't the possibility she could be removed from the game but more the idea she will no longer hang out around B&R for a while. At least probably not in the next episode. Which makes a lot of sense considering the turn her personal story has taken. I don't think Riona will be present either.

Disbelief?

Imagine you're a DIK and everything that happened in BaDIK happened to you in real life. Of course you'd party with ALPHAs because they're your buddies now.

Vinny put it perfectly. Life doesn't work that way.
Never said they were our buddies, but look at what did,

Yes they threw dildo through the mansion windows

Then two of them, one who wasn't even apart of the group destroyed the mansion in retaliation to letters they thought the DIKs had sent detailing things the DIKs definitely did.

Yeah in real life, I'm probably not gonna be all friendly with them, but then again in real life I'd have gone to the police in regards to the criminal damage they'd caused twice.

Would it stop me partying with them, who knows, but if I'm given an ultimatum from the president of the group that provides the girls along the lines of you either both party with us or neither of you get too again, I'd likely put up and shut up just for one night.

Esp given me the MC who seems to have more power over the group than a freshman perhaps should, knows thanks to a couple of friendly chats with some of the Alphas and Chad there's more going on than just a rivalry between the two frats

Now it may seem unlikely that either of the group want to party with the other, given both there histories. Remember, the DIKs aren't completely innocent in all this. But given a big enough nuteral environment like a place the DIKs can keep to themselves and the Jocks can keep to themselves, all while keeping the Hots on side. Yeah I think I can stomach that.

Now I'm not saying there won't be people against this, Tommy for example and there's no way there won't be a bust up or arguments... But this needs to happen one way or another anyway. The letters that the Alphas think the DIKs sent that really came from mangnar need to get out there somehow and way better way than a massive party they're both attending where the truth will out and we can go into season 4 and the end running.

It's not just about the MC, but about all the DIKs. Furthermore, what you're describing as "understanding well" is more like tolerating it, nothing more.

If the player has chosen the Sage Branch or the Others Branch, then Sage can simply say that the MC will come with her. He's Sage's boyfriend, after all.

DPC won't just remove Quinn from the game like that. I don't believe that. However, she won't be HOT's sister and probably won't be in college anymore. But that doesn't mean the MC won't see Quinn again.

But this is the point. I'm not saying it's a typical frat party, I'm saying it could be an all-college party for the college as a whole that is open to everyone, hence why it's in a neutral location. Essentially it would be like an overall "B&R NYE Bash" not necessarily a "DIKs/Alphas/HOTs cool students only" kinda party. NYE is typically a more classier affair than what a regular old frat party would be like and from the looks of things it will be that here. So it being a party open to everyone gives it scope to have people would who would not normally be at a frat party.

But even with all that said, I still don't really see why there's this insistence on cramming as many named characters as possible into the scene.

Yes, the compromise of alternating parties didn't work because you can't force them to go to certain parties, just like you can't force half of them into one party and the other half into another. That's why only a joint party here makes sense because it's the only thing that will work for NYE.

I still think that based on this preview and the Episode 9 flash forward, Bella and MC are at her house, dealing with the aftermath, whatever it may be. Like I would be perfectly fine with a shot just like this one, of Bella and MC sitting together looking solemn.
Could be, I think MC goes to the hospital then goes back to Bella's once he knows Derek ok

Well, we already have a preview of Rio in the MC's room so we know she's coming back to college, and I think she'll be fully healed up in time to attend the NYE party.

At the end of the day, the big problem in each frat are Dawe and Tommy. They're the 2 most at each other's throats, hyped up on their own testosterone and desperation to seem "manly" through general douchebaggery, and the main reason for the animosity. Guys like Caleb and Alex are also douchebags, but the other guys are either idiots or Chad and don't seem all that bad. Without the most negative influences on the frats, they'd probably get along just fine.

And this is where opinions diverge again. Why go to a party that is destined to be a disaster from the outset?
Because you have to at least try. The bigger man sets aside his differences and personal hang-ups for the greater good, and the greater good in this instance is a joint party to at least try and reduce some of the animosity through cooperation and where there's no fighting over the HOTs. Also, feeling like it's doomed from the outset is the wrong mindset to be having. They should be willing to at least give it a chance to try and see if they can stem this tide of animosty which does nobody any good.

because otherwise you can spend your time home alone at new year? . That's how it will be. You either behave and you invited, or you can stay at home and masturbate in your room.

I'll tell you how your version could come true, and one condition has to be met. Dawe has to go. Until that happens, there won't be a party together.

He'll still be Pres. He'll just have to suck it up like Tommy and anyone else because they'll be made to cooperate.

The only condition that will be met for this party is that the HOTs won't be forced to one party or another so a joint party will be the compromise.

Well if I could convince you of that information Dali, I'd be a better man than Blue Milk given he has been trying to explain that to you for a while - and I'll generally be repeating what he has said, but about 4 weeks ago, DPC said he was starting on creating environments for a massive freeroam with 87 people - why new environments. Well no where shown in a freeroam so far could really handle 87 people, but also its nice neutral ground, Not the DIKs house, Not the Hots, Not the Alphas etc etc - now added to that 87 people is a fucking lot of people and while yes, the Alphas only really make up 8 of them and can easily be replaced by new or lesser known characters - I dont think we are at the point of the game where its beneficial to introduce new characters. They will be known one way or another (now that still doesnt mean it HAS to be the Jocks) but we have an image of Mel, Sarah, Aerith, Chad and the MC in one room, with one character having a bottle of beer in hand and a Balloon sculpture in the back that has been seen in other pictures such as with Sage and Maya - these characters also seem to be in an environment that we havent seen before in a freeroam.

Now I understand that both Blue Milk and I could be clutching at straws here, and we can only say that MC, Sage, Maya, Mel, Sarah, Aerith and Chad are a fry cry from the 87 characters quoted and Chad being there does not equate to the jocks, but given the sheer number of people there, its not out of the question to think the Jocks wont be.

I don't understand why you think the Fighting tournament and the facility thing are important. DPC wouldn't allow us to meet characters that could be considered important as Viv or Miranda at two mutually exclusive events, which you, as a player, can bypass completely - remember you can say no to both events, going to either of them certainly isnt canon.
The fight tournament and facility they events but the major event is the new years eve party. I think from the previews a good guess is mc and sage plan a school party for NYE to not break treaty with jocks

The letters only reveal what is true. Even if it turns out that Magnar sent these letters for this reason, they do not change the truth.
Yeah they do reveal the truth, which is pretty much the stuff the DIKs have been getting up too, the sleeping with aerith, the scummy protein shake. The truth that the DIKs aren't some innocent bystander in this.

You keep talking about how the Alphas did this and the Alphas did that and while some of it was extreme and none of it really justified, to them it was all retaliation to the DIKs. The Alphas have reasons to hate the DIKs just as much as the DIKs have reasons to hate the Alphas.

But the common ground is this, they both like to and want to party with the Hots and there isn't enough HOTS to go around. And it's getting to Sage now. So it's either get along and both party with us or none of you party with us.

That possible ultimatum is enough to get both groups at the same party even begrudgingly because neither side wants the alternative

And remember what ever happens has to happen however the player plays, so we can't fall back on Sage does this because she's the MCs GF or the Jocks got impressed by MCs fighting so made up or the Preps loved his rendition of Canon in G at the Staff party so invited him to play here.

There needs to be a logical reason, whether you think it's right or not that events happen thay are consistent on all paths

This does seem to be getting forgotten by them, yes, that the DIKs are equal parts responsible for the continuing animosity, especially when you consider it all started with Tommy banging Arieth and then bragging about it to Dawe. Tommy literally stirred up this hornet's nest and made enemies of the Jocks. That's not to say they wouldn't have probably ended up being rivals eventually, but Tommy did kind of start it and now neither group is willing to put a stop to it, only letting the grudges and division worsen. But that's exactly why a joint a party makes the most sense because you can tell Sage is frustrated by the tug-of-war and with the recent batch of letters things will be even more tense, so forcing them to set aside these differences and compromise on having a party together makes the most sense.
