It would be tempting to presume an alliance between Quinn and Tommy but their interests diverge since these two cases compromise the fraternity. Considering how few people know about this video, I wonder if Derek or Elena could have used the asset to keep Ashley out of trouble.

The missing element that connects all these dots torments me.

I bought another one during free roam in episode 7(in my room before party), saved game not long after, now tried to load that save and it remains locked. So, how exactly should I do it? You mean purchase single one during first conversation about art with Jacob, then skip to episode 7 to unlock, then reload to buy another one?

You do also need to play the game through to the next art-buying opportunity to 'unlock' the art you paid for (it usually happens at mansion free roams). You'll get a message saying new art is available; from then on, that art is freely even on different saves (and indeed, can no longer be purchased).

That's what I meant with finish... finish that etape finish ep8 restart on different route(s) do over...

I still think the most likely explanation is that whoever hacked the DIKs left a backdoor into their computer. The DIKs only had the Jade video for an hour or two before the laptop was put in the safe on Saturday night (since it was there when the mansion was trashed). On Monday morning Rusty reorganized the laptop to restrict access to the video. While we don't know that the laptop remained secure on Sunday, it seems very unlikely Rusty would become less security conscious between the sack of the mansion and his reorganization. So there's only a very small window where a DIK (other than Rusty or Tommy) could have accessed the video.

To me, that makes a backdoor the more likely suspect. It would tie in nicely to the disappearance of Jaime's phone and the way we've been told the MC's new phone is automatically synched to the laptop. If we assume this is being done elsewhere, it might even tie in to the repeat assurances that Maya deleted the scavenger hunt videos. For the triple paranoia score, we could even consider that Burke may soon (in game, at least ) learn first hand just how effective a blackmail tool that video would be...

It's speculative, but that's my guess.

You're probably right. DPC has already confirmed that there won't be a lot of Interlude sex. A flashback scene would take care of the AVN lewd requirements nicely. After that, if there is any fooling around in Interlude then it will likely be a lesbian ho-down. I don't think anyone wants another Jill-esque solo scene...(unless it's combined with Zoey fantasising about previous MC sex and we are shown the lewdness as a memberberry flashback). I sincerely doubt we would be shown a sex scene with two completely new and unknown characters. What would be the point in that? Meaningless side character sex without the MC (or Zoey) isn't really this dev's modus operandi.

DPC is clearly bringing Zoey into the story at this precise moment to cause a romantic rift at B&R. He wants a dramatic choice between whomever you chose (or favoured) in ep. 8 and his new "it girl," Zoey. The only way he can do that is by presenting her in a positive light. Interlude purpose is to get players lusting after this woman and whet the appetite for ep 9 reunion. Teasing would work much better than wall-to-wall gangbangs with randos. DPC is smart enough to know that if he shows Zoey too much whoring around San Diego, then many butthurt players won't be as interested in her upon her return...thus ruining his ready-to-squirt dev-gasm for Zoey/LI drama. He seriously gets off on shit like that.

P.S. In order for DPC's master plan to work, the player must feel something for Zoey by the end of this Interlude. Expect him to pull out all of the tricks. We are talking full Quinn ep. 6 mode: Sappy music, pensive looks, sad back story, maybe some danger, and of course dumbass QTE surf competition. If he succeeds in hooking you, then he will be ready to fully spring his drama trap when ep. 9 begins.

Oh, most realize that there is free advertising to be had here, and some of it may even provide revenue. But if you were the developer of this game, would you really read through all the bullshit on this thread!? For one thing it would take too much time. But the real problem is that once a game becomes popular, trolls come crawling out of their lairs and think it's just fine to dump on any popular game because they can. Then there are the just plain stupid people who have no idea what they just played or what it means. Not to mention those who have certain set opinions as to how MCs and LIs should act in some given situation, and any deviation will send them racing to their keyboards. You can see all of the above here on an hourly basis.

I have always maintained that developers SHOULD pay attention to feedback at the beginning of their games and reply to questions and make adjustments as necessary, but should then forget about this place and go about their development as planned.

Critics, trolls, complainers and/or bullshiters will be everywhere, every time... You can't please everyone when you create something. And honestly I really choose DPC style to don't give a damn about opinions about STORY... When you try to please everyone you have a huge risk to fuck up everything...

I presume that girls on the dating paths expect fidelity - fooling around is likely to result in bad outcomes on anything but the 'other' path, IMO. I suspect DPC will handle this by making the 'other' path the default for any MC kicked off their chosen LI path.

He received the new phone as a gift at the end of that week, but he transfered all his data to the new phone as everyone does.
So the video has to be in it, or maybe someone took his old phone after he got the new one and did copy the video. If the MC has left is old phone is his room, anyone could have get access to it.

Exactly don't expect to get a harem here, for those who have played Acting Lessons, the previous game of DPC, they know that this is not a thing!!! I still feel the burn in my mind for having played with the girls feelings!

Are you sure your playthrough didn't share it with the DIKs? I recall only a single opportunity to decide to share, not separate decisions with Derek and the DIKs.

I'm fairly confident that if you don't show anyone, Burke doesn't see it.

I have done 6 different playthrough but each time i never shared the video if it existed, i just talked about it once to Derek, 3 times i did go with Jade and fucked her behind the door, i made the video but i did not even talked about it to Derek, i let Derek do the job with the sexy old lady in the VW and get the credits!!

And about the fire, yes AL let a deep burn and ashes, i just hoped at that moment taht i could do the same with the ashes as in The Big Lebovsky, taste and smell those ashes baby, this is you love in the wind!!

I did not play that game since a long time now, i don't remember the fuck on College ground, does it happen when you meet her in the parking lot before going to her place, or was it another time. I clearly remember the BDSM stuff in her room and me fuckin her while she was talking to her husband behind the door because it was kinky!!

Telling Derek about Jade automatically leads to the MC uploading the video to the DIK computer. There's no separate option to tell Derek. That makes sense since Derek won't bang the old teacher if he knows the MC already completed that task, which in turn means the MC will need to submit proof to the DIKs. It's both or neither, and Burke only has the video if you share it with the DIKs.

Also, if the MC decides not to tell Derek (and thus not share the video), he mentions that he will delete the video. We don't know if he follows through on that, but if so the video wouldn't fall into Burke's hands even if he did indirectly hack the MC's new phone. One way or the other, Burke can't get the video by directly hacking the MC's new phone, because then Burke having the video would hinge on sleeping with Jade, not choosing to tell anyone about it.
