We don't know how long Chad and Sage have been together. It could be 6 months, it could be 3 years. Also, not every college couple is fucking. Some guys/girls put sex on a pedestal (as Sage complains) and maybe Chad fed her some bullshit about going slow.

Unfortunately we probably won't get any more insight into this. And if I were DPC, I would leave it like this. The story doesn't hinge on how Sage got this far in the relationship, it only hinges on Chad using her and now the relationship is over. I doubt the mc is gonna probe her about it.

We don't need explicit reasons for Sage to be with Chad. From a shallow perspective (like, say in a college setting), his name is Chad, even his jawline screams Giga-Chad, and he's the president of the Jocks. She's the president of the HOTs, and she's hot. They look good together. Their houses benefit from the union. In what world wouldn't they go together? But ultimately, as we all know, it was totally fucked up. The End. You need more? Sorry to disappoint.

With Bella it's different. We do need to know how she got to where she is. There is a backstory, screaming to be told. And if we don't get it, DPC has fucked up. Now that they're actually dating with the intent to give their relationship a decent chance, at this very moment in the story I think they are at a point where he can now ask sensitive things, "What the fuck is up with you!?" Let's hope he fucking asks.

We don't need it because it doesn't matter. How Sage put up with Chad's tiny dick for however long their relationship lasted simply doesn't matter.

Lana's death still likely has some significance to the story, so meeting Lana makes sense. Plus "The mooooon".

The only thing that happened that serves a big fat zero bearing in the whole game, is The Madame. But it's clear DPC was just experimenting with her. She's probably his most detailed model, and her intro animation is the most complex body pan (with multiple layers of parallax effects).

Doesn't help that this only exacerbates Sage being oblivious about Quinn's shenanigans, apparently she is the dumbest character both intellectually and emotionally, just without the 'laugh track' we usually get for Dawe & Arieth. She can't pick up on anything until its drawn in the sand for her...Until I'm proven wrong I will still hold the opinion that DPC failed Sage as a character as bad as Jill, maybe more, depending on the resolution of the plots involving her.

And on the interlude, the entire point was to get to the conclusion of homesickness and realizing she felt more for the MC The easiest way to achieve that is by having her have bad romantic experiences, realizing what she let go, how much better the MC was, by not having anything of the sort you can see that even the ones that are not butthurt by the mere Interlude existence have reached the end of the game with the conclusion that she came home because she ran out of money and I will bet my favorite testicle that is 100% not what DPC wanted you to get out of the Interlude.

DPC is not a moron to fail this spectacularly in conveying a simple message, while still speculation IMO he had to tow the line with his writing by how overly sensitive the playerbase is with topics like this.

thats what im getting at. we have these characters in established relationships, yet we almost never even see them share screen time with each other. and when we do see them together its weird/awkward. i dont like that character development might be cast aside in order to not upset people with the fact that people in relationships do relationship things together.

with Sage and Chad, its hard to believe their relationship was perfectly fine for the last x years or whatever. i honestly seems like these issues they have now would have come to a head a while ago if it all comes back to lack of intimacy from Chad. its just irritating cause if DPC wants us to believe that they were in fact happy and had something together that was actually worth keeping, then he should show us that occasionally and flesh things out a bit so we can better understand why Sage would be so upset that everything is falling apart (rather then always just having to take the characters at their word that the feelings they have are real and valid).

and as stated before, Bella and her husband have their own similar issues with their portrayal together...

these feel like either narrative shortcuts or the desire to deliberately not show any of the other girls potentially happy with anyone other than MC. its just weird, IMO

With Chad and Sage we do see how it was in the past. During the flashback (intro) we see her clinging onto Chad talking about planning the halloween party and Chad is cold towards her as it can be. So their relationship is pure for the outside world. President of the HOT's supposed to be with the president of the Tri Alpha's.
If i remeber correctly Sage even mention that to MC but i don't recall when she does it.

On the one hand, she is the most nuanced, least single-minded character, but on the other hand she is the most abused.

Affectionate constantly, MC has to reject her three times (2 with our choice and one automatically), an unwitting victim of almost everything that happens to BR, every member of her family is basically a problem.

Sage will probably have a flash back this coming episode, to show her relationship with the Burkes, and maybe even her childhood, because while we know she was a foster kid before she was adopted, we don't know what she's been through.

We don't need another flashback showing her relationship with Chad because we've seen all we need to know.

We got a flashback with Jill to show her relationship with Lana, who we still have more to find out about (I don't believe her involvement in the story has no consequence).

We don't need a flashback to show us Josy has fucked other guys in the past, but it's clear she has.

We got a flashback with how Josy, Maya and Derek all knew each other.

We don't need a flashback as to why Tybalt is such a fuckhead.

And so on.

This has nothing to do with me disagreeing purely because it's a criticism levelled at DPC (I have stated many times that I didn't like much about AL, and the ending was boring as fuck). No, this is about me disagreeing because it's you.

Actually, Ren'Py code is very simple and, though you can complicate it, in most parts, it's almost declaratory. So, for instance, in Ep. 4, Jade's scene, we have this snippet:

There's no difference between declaring movies or images, thus, he could substitute anim_jade_doggy9_ep4.webp for anim_jade_doggy9_ep4.webm (he could even use a blank image or any other image); when anim_jade_doggy9_ep4.webm is ready, he just change the extension.

As you can see, it's very simple and to mess with it one has to be very dumb (which is not DPC's case). So it's perfectly possible to test it with stand-ins without adding any bug because it can't even be considered an algorithm to have a bug for starters.

Some scenes from the main menu are not in the game, so yes. They are just special renders for menu.
But they may well be cut content, such a possibility exists.

You may recall the render of Cammy & Riona sitting on the wall. That featured on the opening screen way before it featured in the actual story. Pretty cool.

Obviously (porno?) I've seen the best one, the masterpiece of that comedy: John Landis' "Animal House" and almost all the stupid imitations made in the 80s and 90s based on the unsurpassed AH but BeingDik is written today and comes with a lot more content than the comedy on which it is based.

Why not add something less stupid .. what I mean the comedy(s) you are talking about have a duration of just over an hour ... the stories were stupid and inconsistent .... here we have so many seasons that should cover the individual stories in detail of the characters .... ms writing a more interesting story based on those comedies adapting it to today's problems would be much better ... I think the game would become much more interesting rather than just being a nostalgic remake of a past that no longer existing

The story has not a center and the result is an inconsitent plot with characters with characters taken at random from

The game definitely doesn't have a "center" as of yet. We've spent 8 episodes getting to know and fuck a bunch of girls, get involved in, and solve random problems, and basically just float around college.

Kinda like a real college experience, with perhaps a bit more fucking.

But I think the game does need a stronger thread to emerge now, something to drive the next season, if not the rest of the game.
