Game finnished up to the available content. Very fun ride, thank you very much @MipmipI was on the verge of downloading or not, but this absolutely sold me "... and misunderstood psychology. "
Still laughing my ass off 10 min after xD
Glad you liked it! I make no 100% promises regarding content (creative writing is weird). But yeah more public fun is likely.Best trainer game I've played in ages! Enjoying all the public events, just got to the "naked walk" order which was the hottest thing so far. I hope there's more planned in that direction!
That's actually bothered me a little too, It's one of the things targeted for a minor rewrite when I find a minute for it.with grounded dialog (until the "Master" thing xD).
I should give you another half-star on my review for creating a game first, and then trying to recoup costs, rather than grabbing money first in the "you-pay-as-I-learn" that most other devs are in the (bad) habit of doing.I frankly wore that like a badge of honor (makes no sense I know, I'm admittedly weird about money).
But I hope the project may now be developed enough to justify it. Guess we'll see
Your transparency is admirable and I think will encourage more people to support you because you're so open. Clearly you're not trying to milk patrons if you only put up a Patreon at version 0.8 of the game.... But since art is usually the slowest pipe in the games production, I'd love to add more artists and make it run faster. But increasing that monthly budget is sadly beyond my financial reach.
Which leads me to a conclusion that I've frankly been trying to avoid for a while now: I need to set up a Patreon. Specifically, I need to see if I can break even on the art budget, and if things go well, increase it and find more qualified artists so I can run them concurrently to speed things up. I'm not 100% if and when this will happen. Just thought I'd put it in writing here both to let you know and to keep myself honest about the real numbers involved.
Actually, I quite liked the "master" thing. Although I agree the game could do with easing into it a little more. That's actually bothered me a little too, It's one of the things targeted for a minor rewrite when I find a minute for it.
Don't worry the master thing is staying. It's the conversation(s) leading up to it that I agree could use some more work.Actually, I quite liked the "master" thing. Although I agree the game could do with easing into it a little more.
Hey, @Mipmip ! Thanks a lot for the game. It's time for another Dev Update!
This week was focused mostly on writing and implementing new story scenes and actions.
I had some spare time so I got a bit ahead of schedule. I used the extra time to do a quick and dirty redesign of the main menu (see below). This is in no way it's final form, but it looks to me like a step in the right direction.
On the art side BDOne delivered some early versions of the sixth date and Chris is back working on new outfits and... other things
I've been looking into adding music into the game. It's relatively simple to find music for scripted scenes with clear tones. But finding music that can fit with any of the things you can do and say in the dynamic part of the game is proving challenging. I'm still in the process of figuring that out, so I'm thinking for the next release only some of the game will have music. I'd appreciate input on this subject, does the game even need music?
At the current pace, this version might be ready earlier then expected. But it's too early to call just yet. I'll be sure to update here if that's the case.
Have a great weekend!

If you look again at the image that he posted of the main screen that's coming in the next version you'll see that he's setting up a Patreon. Is there any way to contribute to @Mipmip? There doesn't seem to be a patreon page or anything of the sort.
Yeah. I just noticed that. That's good!If you look again at the image that he posted of the main screen that's coming in the next version you'll see that he's setting up a Patreon.
From my perspective, no. The first thing I do when I start playing a game is turn off the music. I'm usually already listening to something else.I'd appreciate input on this subject, does the game even need music?
The first thing that I do with most games is turn music off. It's a very rare game that has music that I consider worth listening to. Music is often (usually) a distraction to being able to concentrate and make good decisions while playing a game. This isn't such a big deal with porn games, I'll grant, but "mood" music IMO interferes with the playing of RPGs and shooters. Sound f/x yes, music no. Adding an appropriate sound when ringing the bell would enrich the game for most players, but don't waste your valuable dev time implementing music. I'd rather see you devote that time to coding more scenes.I'd appreciate input on this subject, does the game even need music?
Glad you liked it, those are two of my favorite games, so thanks! It feels a lot like a good mix of LabRats and Rogue-Like.
