First of all, I want to thank the developer for an interesting project. there are very few games of this format. it usually boils down to dumb bimbos with abnormally huge tits or penises. So it's nice to see a game with likable characters with normal body proportions. Another question is whether any change in the price policy on Patreon is planned, because for me, and, I think, for many others, 10 dollars is a little too much. Maybe there will be subscription options for 1-2 dollars, with certain restrictions?

I'm glad I was able to fill a void for you, fap_mashine (that's one hell of a user name, lol). Patreon will remain my premium tier, if that makes sense, as a Patreon you will always get the latest version of this game and other projects that are en-route. I should have the first instalment of an adult comic featuring the back story for one of the characters in Best Friends, up in a few days. I am not considering a price change on that platform at the moment.
I will however bring out other options for purchasing just Best Friends on other platforms at a lower costs. That version though available through that portal would always be behind the one available on Patreon for obvious reasons.
I hope to have something in place there within the next month or so, depending on my progress with chapter 4. I woke up at 3am this morning with an idea I had to script immediately, so it's coming along.
I hope that helps answer your concern a little and I totally understand your feelings there but I do believe I will offer value for money as I am committed very strongly to the project.
Oh and I agree on the out of proportion sizes thing, I'm more of a realistic dimensions kinda guy so expect that in my work.

Nothing too scary, just a native of Newcastle upon Tyne, that's in England. Hadrian's wall went through it, Sting, Bobby Charlton, Mr Bean, Brian Johnson etc. are from the city or surrounding area.

I have released a small update that fixes a couple of issues. An animation on the "Jon" path has been fixed (thanks to asahibito for providing the feedback for this needed fix). I have also removed the use of acronyms like LOL and WTF in general dialogue.

I'll play the devil's advocate here: the story can be both positive and kinky. It doesn't have to be, and trying to include various kinks risks scope creep, but one can be both various kinds of trans and various degrees of kinky. An MC who wants to be a trans femme lesbian, but would rather keep boy parts because affirmation surgery is too risky, but wants to wear a chastity cage because she doesn't like her boy parts and certainly doesn't want those used for sex, is a realistic possibility, even if far from the only one.
Characters can enjoy a wholesome and loving relationship even if what they do in bed is sometimes definitely not vanilla.

Personal opinion here that I find cages abhorrent but I understand that you are merely using them as an example here. I think I mention it pretty early on that this work is set out as a slow burn, I wasn't kidding about that. That doesn't mean however that the fires will not get hot. This is what drew me into this medium after all, the ability combine explicit content with meaningful story telling, a combination that is absent for mainstream movie making and hardcore pornography. That's my ultimate aim, if I can get close to achieving that with the final product, I will be very happy.

I really liked what I played. I read through the whole thread. So if I understood correctly, at the moment there is no plan to make the future updates free and 0.3 might go for a small fee on Itch. Good, I would be willing to pay a fee for access to the rest of the game and maybe a DLC fee for the extra content, but I have already surpassed my allocated budget for supporting devs even if I wanted to. And I do here. So having a one time option for support even if I would have to wait would be fine.
I will also echo the thoughts of other players. It is refreshing to see a game start in a so positive manner surrounding transitioning. Too often the stories are not so wholesome. Sometime it is to represent some kind of harsh reality that sadly is not far from the truth or may even be considered to underrepresent it's harshness in some instances. In other casses it is to satisfy a kink. Both are fine and I can enjoy them too (one more than the other) but I want way more of the stories that give hope for a good future for everyone. Even then some harshness pass through in the story, in the form of the ban on puberty blockers. To me this ban feels more like a panic societal response. What, you guys don't trust your therapist with the stuff? Like do you think people who made it their life calling to support people and make their lives better would not handle the stuff with care? If you prescribe the stuff to the wrong kid it could screw their life. Do you think therapists would hand those prescription like cany on halloween?
Also when my brothers and I were kids my dad offered my kid brother a barbie doll having heard that he played with one in kindergarten. He made my brother cry, guess he was simply curious about the other kid's toy. But Years later I understand more my father's action and I am just left wondering why all fathers can't be like my own. Supportive of their kids in all the aspects of their lives.

Thank you downloading, playing and providing your thoughts on what you've witnessed. I think you captured what I was hoping to go for.
Totally understand your stance on financial support and yes I do plan to release 0.3 to Itch for a small fee sometime soon. It's just a case of making sure I prioritise the Patreon folks who have been fantastic for me and provided some excellent feedback too. Once I get deep into chapter 4. I will push that 0.3 to Itch, I can't put a time frame on that yet but I am making good progress on the scripting side of things and also rendering for chapter 4.
I mention the ban on puberty blockers in the UK briefly, I could have gone further down that rabbit hole but I was also aware of not losing the audience. I may revisit the subject down the line, the way the story arch plays out there will be more opportunities for me to do so.
I would love to hear your take on the opening scenes in Chapter 3 when you get a chance, this is really not meant as a teaser (although it is) but explores further those conversations the two protagonists had in, let's call it, the coral dress scene.
Again thank you so much for the feedback, it's truly great to hear when someone enjoys the work you've put out, believe me when I say it wasn't put together over night.

It's not been my focus tbh. I'm putting most of my energy and time into chapter 4 which is progressing nicely, actually a lot better than I thought going into it. I've also been focused on getting a compressed chapter 3 ready for an itch release sometime soon after the first half of chapter 4 is released to my Patreons.
If I get a minute I will take a look at it though, I've done the basic research into doing the conversion. If it's doesn't massively take me away from progressing the story I will do it as soon as time permits.

I don't know if you can charge again for every update. But every time I bought a game on Itch it also got me access to each subsequent update. If by paying on Itch for chapter 3 it would also grant me access to chapter 4 when you finally upload it to itch, you could easily charge more than 2$ or 3$ to grant access to your game. Your story is great and promising so far and the end of chapter one makes people curious about what comes next.
