That's not 100% correct. Aleksey is adding content to his version, but since he decided to restart the whole thing, and the fact the original game had more content, leads to the false conclusion, that he hasn't done anything new. I too, think he is slow, but I think when he continues (hopefully) after the point where the original stopped, you may get a lot new and (really) good quality content.
Till now he has just refined what was given by the original, and the rest will be shown in the future.
