I had the same issue, but with a wrapper (double clickable app) on a Mac. Just couldn't get it to work; I had to end up using command line Wine with Wine Staging.
Everything is the same, except that the size of the game is much smaller because of the slightly reduced quality of the images.
I assume you are running Mint 18, and that you are somewhat familiar with command line. I run without a problem with Wine 3.3 on Arch Linux.
Mint is on the conservative side, so the latest version of Wine in the built-in repository is 1.6. I do not know if BB runs on this version, but it is worth trying it first. If it does not work, we can try to install Wine 3.3 from a third-party repository on Mint [1].
I do not want to mess with your environment though. Do you already have Wine installed? If yes, do you know which version?

Yes, they work. Copy the save folder from 0.11 to 0.13 and the saves should work just fine.
Haven't checked the game for a while, so BB is now dead according to the patreon page because of the incest rule on patreon but his new game is still about incest so basically, he ran out of ideas so he makes stuff up to stop working on it?

Glamour is not an incest game. There is something wrong with our community if family members included in game mean you have to fuck them oO

I guess this was the last update for a very long time or for permanently. Basically he got bored of making this game and when patreon forbidden incest on their platform he happily switched to one of his old game to remake it. The problem is he has to face the still going outcry and as you can see on his patreon page hundreds of people stopped supporting him.

He probably could, if he changed it to a roommate situation, where no one was related to anyone else. Step relationships aren't allowed. But that would involve a lot of work to re-write it and still have it make sense. But there's two problems with that approach.
1) At least at the moment, DS would rather work on Glamour.
2) There's no guarantee that Patreon won't crack down on people changing incest games to games about roommates, and then patches mysteriously appearing on the internet. Except it might not just be warnings. It could be bans at that point, which scares pretty much any developer, because Patreon is the place to be.
And honestly, I don't know much life Big Brother has in it. I suspect that it would still be more profitable than Glamour, but people were getting frustrated with the pacing. Update .13 was a good one, but at the same time, DS can't give us updates like that all of the time, because Ann was what people had been waiting for for so long. For me personally, I'd like to see one more update featuring Lisa and the taking of her virginity, and after that my interest would drop drastically.
