Find it really hard to believe that with 3 months he didn't change the game prior to patreon enforcing their new rules.
It probably wouldn't have been easy, but if he really wanted to he could have.
He just didn't want to and that's why he's on a cash diet now.
Ds early on said he did not like writing incest. I believe he admitted that bondage was more his thing. Game reflects it. I was concerned as soon as Eric was introduced
It seemed like DS was less engaged after Eric was so poorly recieved.
I wonder if a work around patreon something like. You download the cg via patreon and he sends a gamelink would of worked. Patreon would of had some coverage as it would be harder to prove he was selling incest games. DS could of claimed they were seperate and his game was advertising skills for future games or perhaps just an extra. Not sure if patreon really cares or if this is pressure from paypal. So such an idea might work, at least for a time. Such fictions keep attorneys employed.

Now don´t get me wrong, I like this game a lot (that´s why it is my profile pic) but it really isn´t what it used to be anymore. I would have loved to see more content in the last few patches! And after playing it for the fourth time (without cheats ofc) it became more and more repetitive. Not cause I´ve played it for the fourth time but because the same events happen over and over again with usually not much variety. I really like the characters even though they could be fleshed out a lot more, especially cause the later patches did close to none to make them as interesting as they´d deserve it. Especially Mom and Lisa, which are my top favorites

Why would the dev do that? Was it that he felt he wasn't making enough from this to continue in another way, or was he Really feeling that bad about the game being kicked out or am I missing something?
This game was the first one I tried from this site and from all the 50+ ones I've played after, still one of my fav. :/

It was a few steps.
- He started it the way he wanted it to be
- People paid him
- People didn't like the ways he intended it to be (ntr stuff with Eric, no idea why he called it incest story of your life if he didn't intend to let you have fun with anyone though)
- He changed stuff
- He lost interest and canceled at the most conveniant opportunity with his "Mimimi, Patreon won't let me continue the game" bullshit. Other games did the same with changing the family to roommates and stuff, but he is the only one who won't get away it with ... Yeah.

The money, plain and simple.
If the Patreon crackdown didn't happen, this game would still be in development, probably seeing more development than Glamour, and we'd be up to version 0.16 now.
We were told that they (Dark Silver/Sandlust Games) were looking into Patreon alternatives for funding so they could continue development after a delay whilst they looked for it.
Unfortunately either a viable alternative couldn't be found or more likely, taking advantage of the crackdown and fallout from it to swap projects entirely.
Given that Glamour is still early in development, there's really not much to see there. That is, assuming you don't mind having to connect to the dev's server to be able to play at all, and even use any saves made during playtime since they're stored server side, as opposed to client side.
Yes it's sketchy as hell, and absolutely non-consumer/non-gamer friendly but that's the choice that's been made to prevent piracy... Despite that the previous (ineffective) DRM for Big Brother was regularly cracked before it was dropped entirely, many who played the cracked version from here went on to become Patrons, and I'd guess that the majority of them have ceased their patronage, due to both the change of project and the draconian measures taken to combat piracy of a porn game.

Especially since it's the second version of Glamour, so he dropped Glamour for Big Brother to drop it for his Glamour remake again x'D
Wonder how long before we see a Big Brother remake... With the added bonus of the cams being more than just the protagonist's source of income, or an actual plan when it comes to development.
What always bugged me, and was practically never expanded on, was why the house already had a camera in it.
I mean, it was the ex-husband's house that he gave to the family many years after leaving them, with a camera already set up in the lounge.
Then there's the much later addition to Eric, where he's a con-man who knows about the house, wants it, and logically (I know, applying logic to this game is stupid) knows about the lounge cam, and has access to it.
It always felt like there was some sort of story there, but Dark Silver's concern for money vastly outstripped anything approaching artistic integrity, so that went the way of the dodo.
Personally, I could do without the cams. But voyeurism isn't really my thing, either. Spying on someone in the early stages of a game might have it's place in the slow escalation of sexual tension, but if it has to happen, I'd prefer it be peeking in person, say through a half-open door. Cameras just add an element of remoteness that just makes it less interesting.
Then there was entire angle of Max allowing hundreds (or more) of strangers to gawk at his naked family while he made money with it. It painted Max as an asshole from an early part of the game, and his character just went downhill from there. Maybe it's just nostalgia, but the characters at the beginning seemed richer and full of promise before they all degraded in one way or another. Ann completely sold out her family for Eric, before seeming to slowly lose her sanity as she lounged around the house in a towel all day when she wasn't being talked into making porn or giving her son handjobs because of his supposed carpal tunnel syndrom. Alice started as just a bitchy big sister begging to be tamed or seduced, before eventually turning into a blackmailing dominant bitch. And Lisa started off innocent became increasingly superficial and seemed to care the least for Max out of the entire family. But she honestly seemed to become more and more devoid any emotion the longer the game progressed.
Max is an arsehole though.
Our avatar in the game, is a selfish pervert who's happy to let complete strangers jerk off to hidden cam footage of his hot female relatives. He also has no compunction about having sex with them too, and clearly doesn't mind it being seen by those strangers too. The only blowback from that, is Eric blackmailing him after the first time having sex with Kira.
It's sort of nostalgia, based on how you thought/hoped the characters would be. Kind of like riding the hype train for a movie or game, and being disappointed by it.
Remember, they're all fucked up and already harbour incestual desires, Alice in particular for Max, with the rest following from whenever they first see his dick. Even Kate, who was a lesbian at first then changed to bi-sexual so Max could fuck her. Hell, she's fine with filming the girl she loves having sex with her own brother.
Kira was the better character of all his family members, simply because she was honest about it. Ultimately though, she's a grown up female Max.
Big Brother is/was a clusterfuck of ideas, and bad development choices.
It had good potential to begin with, but poor handling of Eric and capitulating to the horny desires of incest fetish fans who wanted Max to be sticking his dick in anyone with a vagina, ruined that potential.
Actual gameplay wise, it's bad. In a primitive "least amount of effort" kind of way, but nobody played it for that. Hell, it's barely more than a visual novel as far as being a game is concerned.
It's all about the sexy renders and taboo of incest with those sexy renders, or for others not into the actual incest, the thought of fucking those sexy renders.
