People make the mistake of reading too much into what the characters do. I used to do it all the time with this game. There is not nearly as much hidden meaning in the game as we think. We see something that's inconsistent with a character's past behavior, or doing something that doesn't make obvious sense, and we go "hmm, I wonder what's up there?" Here's the simple answer: bad writing.

Pretty much this. The writing was worse than usual this time around too. I mean Kate is acting like she never got fucked by Max before when he's been fucking her on the regular for months. Lisa is STILL doing the virginity dance, first she wanted romance, then she found out she was a sub, next she wanted to watch Max fuck another chick, now she's fine with being on camera and seems completely fine with it because she's been ignored by Alice her whole life or some shit. Every update Lisa's character changes. Alice was relatively stable, but 0.11 fucked that shit up.

There is no consistency to these characters, and the longer the game goes on, the less there is, even between SCENES.

Go back to the game, play through the rest of the content, and you'll see that everything I said was correct.
Including my comment about knee jerk reaction, and yes, your response to what was happening at the point you quit is very much a knee jerk reaction - you reacted in a reflex manner that made you stop playing the game just because you didn't like where it was leading you.
I understand where you're coming from, but seriously, go back and finish what's available.

You already acknowledge the fact that the blackmail material leaves her in as much a bad position as both Max & Lisa, and after Kira, Alice is the next most cunning in the family, followed by Max (with guidance from Kira for more "advanced" matters) with Lisa coming in almost joint position during this update, and she's not stupid enough to actually follow through on her hollow threat.
Max & Lisa don't know, but as the outsider looking in, we the players are (or should be) smart enough to know she won't ever do jack shit with the recording, aside from masturbate a few times when nobody's around.

There's absolutely no "submission" to Alice in the way of being her bitch.
It's a temporary illusion she's using to get closer, physically and emotionally with both her siblings, not just occasional fucking & sucking with Max.
Hell, for things only relating to Max, it very quickly turns into mutual pleasuring of each other (leading to a new dynamic with Ann when she catches them).


Going from what I've seen in the update (continuing from a 0.10 save at the end of the last content) everyone else is maneuvering themselves into helping Max get with the mother for more than just handjobs & oral, and that includes Alice and Lisa, as a direct result of Alice's initial "blackmail", and how it proves to be more than what was initially thought.

Eventually some of what you say is true, Alice mellows out in the back half of 0.11 but by that point the shit she pulled, AND CONTINUES TO PULL, makes her fucking awful, and it's hard to come back. It's like DS wrote 2 different characters. There is Dom Alice, who is an unbearable twat of the highest order, who unashamedly cheats on her GF, blackmails her family, something that even her utter shitheel of a brother never did, and treats her brother and girlfriend like absolute garbage while trying to control their sex lives. Then there is chill Alice. She sits on the couch, gets and gives head, talks about how much she loves bro's dick, helps cover shit up against mom and has some fun on camera with the kids. She even submits to punishment.

If Dom Alice was a bit closer to chill Alice, I don't think people would have minded. But she comes in like a wrecking ball, and fucks everything up. But no, she takes control over everything, including the one thing that Max has more or less had some influence in, the relationship with Lisa. It was different with Kira because MAX went to HER. This is Alice sticking her nose into a story where she wasn't fucking involved. And you have no choice but to take it. No wonder people are pissed about it.

Since that guy on boarded more people in his dev crew the story quality went away. Remember the awkward Saturday shopping spree where you got suddenly a blowjob from Mom when in house she was still uncomfortable with wanking you for "medical' reasons?

As hard as it can be, because that was a darling game, it may be worth to check only every 2 or 3 versions just to have the usual "situation returns to the normal, folks, sorry" and also enough content added to worth the download.

What we need is a game "like" this where the Protag - is not a Cuck, has a nice sandbox (like this game does), with a similar high quality art style - for both backgrounds and characters, many more things to do (like at the beginning with cameras, books, on-line lessions etc) - that carry though out the "story" and doesn't just end....period, and where a Dev. - finishes a story line - before making 90 degree tangents to existing ones and / or keeps adding and changing content - before fixing or finishing what was released before.

Depends on the scene really. Depends on the feelings too. Alice is very unevenly written this update. But in general, if you're expecting her to come out and declare her love for anything other than his dick, you're playing the wrong game.

yeah, that's what we are talking about here for months now. for different reasons. and the problem is DS trying to make his own game/story and then doing what his audience wants.
he is clearly into the dom/sub/corruption theme - he never has hidden it. (mom eric handcuffs, kira max first sex was cuffed in latex/leather, alice and her gf played with cuffs and latex/leather outfits etc.). and also the blackmail stuff was going on for ages now.
he just sprinkled some romance here and there, because fans wanted it. every turn you saw and will see is becaus fans demanding it and then he tries to get back to his preferences. it never was intended to be a family romance game.
this is what makes this game incoherent. he should had stuck to "his" game or just remade it to some fan novel.

the "story" is a mess and it's getting worse every update.

For someone who claims to have quit their job and has 2,667 patrons ($5 per patreon being at least $13,335 per month) should release much more content than the average of 30~40 renderings per update. You do not have to be too clever to realize that the content of game updates like Dreams of Desire and Dating my Daughter are much more relevant, even though they both have different gameplay than BB. I've helped DS for three months with $40 until I realize that, and honestly I have no interest in contributing again.

I have to politely disagree that the reaction to Alice is a knee jerk. I am personally a straight male, who enjoys dominance and corruption. I do not judge those who enjoy submission, or other power exchange play from the submissive side but it is definitively not my personal cup of tea. When I play this particular game, I don't do anything other than make money and work on getting rid of Eric ASAP until he is gone. It was satisfying to me to defeat him, to tell him to his face that I had the upper hand, and then to immediately arrange to have him vanished and probably killed. Then I get to enjoy my new authority and control in my own personal harem without ever thinking about him again.

My point being is that a negative reaction to a reversal of power dynamic, especially one that is not welcome or anticipated is to be expected. The knee jerk reaction was when I yelled at the computer and turned it off. It is not my current lack of desire to play this game in its present format. I think all people should have their kink catered to, and stroked. I also sincerely hope that the author finds a way to stroke the kinks of those who enjoy that kind of power shift, while at the same time allowing me the option of putting an uppity Alice back on her knees.

Until we are told otherwise, I don't see any reason to believe that Max can't take back control eventually. This wrinkle in the story is just barely starting to unfold. You're entitled to your reaction, and I don't want to try to categorize it as rash, or whatever, but if it IS a knee jerk reaction, it's only because this is just the beginning of this story line. Give it some time to develop and then trash it to your heart's content

While I understand you might think it's unfair to railroad the story into this path, I think it's unrealistic for you to expect branching choices, considering how little is actually added in each update, and given the history of the progression of other Opportunities. Temper your expectations, especially when it comes to logical consistency driving characters' actions. I agree the recording would ruin Alice just as much as Max, but this game has never been about characters behaving in realistic ways. I don't think fun incest games and realistic characters are compatible, because in order to create a family harem without the use of drugs/mind control/hypnosis/magic/etc., the writers have to use flimsy plot devices and characters lacking realistic motivations and behavior. Dual Family is a more realistic incest story. It's depressing as hell and not very much fun to play.

That being said, I don't think it is that unrealistic to believe Max would be interested in going along with it, even if in your mind he's dominant (which, considering everything that's happened in this game, I'm not sure how you came to that conclusion). To me, as demonstrated by basically every choice in the game, he's just an opportunistic hornball whose only motivation is to have as much sex as possible, however he can get it. He's also not very bright when it comes to thinking out these grand schemes. He's almost always steered along by someone else, and usually has to have every little detail explicitly illuminated before he understands. This change in dynamics may be off-putting to some, but it serves a larger purpose in getting Max to the point of threesomes with Alice and Lisa, possibly sex with Ann eventually too, and to that end, I think it's understandable that Max (the one the devs created, not your dominant version) would be willing to forfeit some control and authority in order to achieve it.

Keep in mind, this isn't like other games in which the MC is basically just the player's avatar, where you can change the name, and watch everything from his PoV. Max is not a surrogate, he's his own character, and while we control many of his actions, we're really just watching the story of his family unfold.
