Alright mate, I'm just gonna dip from this argument. It's not worth my time. I did try and debate you but honestly you seem to confuse opinions with facts on too many occasions.

The problem is you don't really have any facts to present...Just excuses and claims that WE INCEST FOLK do not understand....When the truth is we understand and he has even admitted that DS doesn't get Incest, doesn't know how to write that story and how writing a story that is MORE than just BDSM is HARD or DIFFICULT for him.
You keep trying to sell BDSM as a great way to have incest....But NOOOOOOOO! It is not it is called ABUSE and those who love Incest love it for reasons OTHER than just sex with family by any (and only one as far as this game is concerned) means necessary!

Not to mention how many copies realy crappy games sells especialy license games like TMNT,Transformes and all movies and animations you can imagine.Don't forget about EA and how they release games and makes tones of money and other developpers that despite making more than good games sells poorly.

I strongly agree...that's the main dilemma of this game. I think till 0.4-0.5 (and with every preview until now) the game build up some kind of structure which could have led to secret intimacy, romance or affairs. But instead we got blackmail, trickery and abuse... Pretty much every sexual scene is under premise that either you (the MC) or another is blackmailing. Other scenes are "hidden" behind BDSM or porn movies...

It all comes down to a lack of vision for where to go when he started....
His plan was to go slow and start with peeping, hence cameras, peeking in windows etc....
Eric himself was a way of inserting SOME sex scenes to peep on into the story in an attempt to delay the MC fuck fest that was to come later. But then he made the mistake of trying to use Eric as a vehicle for peeping on Alice and eventually Lisa (with the training). That is why Eric is the way he is. And that is why people immediately railed against the character and his omnipotent hoarding of all the women.

If he had even just left Eric with Mom, Introduced the impotence pills and for getting caught peeping on Alice, Mother decided to punish Eric by fucking her son in front of her to give her what Eric wasn't able to give her due to your pill slipping. it could have been a much better and more erotic story! And would have made all that peeping that came before make some sense.

This game had promise which is why it became popular so quickly.
But he blew it because of his mental blockade and lack of knowledge of what makes an Incest scene hot or how to make it happen other than via dubious and forceful means.

And therein lies the failure of this game as a CREATIVE ART even if you think the money it made makes it a success!
All that really says is there are a lot of stupid people who either buy this game because they LIKE BDSM and don't care what it was supposed to be, Forgot to cancel their patreonage because money is not an issue for them, or simply keep holding out hope that DS will fix it at some point which is NEVER going to happen now that he has a new game to develop to keep the money flowing.

What it comes down to and we have stated this MANY times is...
DS can not fathom Incest ever happening without some SCUMBAG forcing the issue to MAKE IT happen....
And Eric was so much of a scumbag that people hated him so what was left after Eric was to make the MC the forceful scumbag because that is the only way DS can imagine incest happening!

Doesn't surprise me in the least! In fact when Patreon sent out emails that they were going to add surcharges to the pledges I went back to my account to remove my support and found a few games I was still supporting I forgot about and were completed and abandoned.

The thing about Patreon is not everyone goes there every month and downloads the next release, Many wait a few months for the content to build up and get a better content supply.
And some of them forget to go back and download what they have paid for.

And for every one that does cancel their sub two or three more new folks sign on to patronize it. That is how he has maintained what he has.

The game had a lot of potential in the beginning, and I thought it was the greatest game back then. It wasn't so much because of what had happened so far as the groundwork it seemed to be laying, and what I imagined happening in the future. Then Eric came along and changed everything. Even when he was gone, DS didn't try to make things the way they were. He kept changing things, instead of going back to when the game had been it's best, even if there was little sex then. If he could have gone back and made the current game an extension of what it had been in pre-Eric times, he would have had a legitimate shot at the title of Incest Game of a Lifetime. We could be carrying on a romantic, passionate affair with Lisa. We could be having sex with Ann, taking care of her sexual and financial needs. We could be hate-fucking Alice as she grudgingly realizes she loves her little brother's cock.

Instead, we have the game as it is. The game people love to hate, and that they bond over their shared disbelief over how it went wrong. It's a game that doesn't have any real direction, and goes on without any real animating force, ultimately as empty as the characters in it have become. Like them, it's very pretty to look at. But there's nothing there when you look inside.

I agree with everything you said here and I want to add that it is still a great game but it is very disappointing the way its going.
Max and Lisa both have cell phones and can take vids of Alice but no it wont happen because DS is shit on writing the story, there used to be since to the game but now there is no since to it but Alice dom'ing it over everyone.
All the way up to this point Lisa hated spanking and now she love's them that is just more stupid bull shit.

Alice became the girl that DS focused on as the one to relieve all of the pent up sexual frustration in the game. It really should have been Olivia or some non-family member who had been introduced early in the game. It just ended up cheapening the character and resulted in a lot of forced and awkward interactions.

I think people hate the game because they loved it so much at the beginning. There's an element of feeling a bit betrayed when you see how the game changed, and find out that it was never really meant to fulfill the promise of the early updates. It was basically a bait and switch. At the same time, a part of me keeps hoping that somehow it will get back on track despite my knowing better. When that doesn't happen, I end up frustrated even though I have no one to blame but myself.

I used to read a lot of incest stories, or incest manga to get my incest fix. It started with alt.sex.stories and kind of progressed from there. I've even written a bit at online choose your adventure sites like chyoa.com, or written stuff for sites where you post scripts for women to record stuff. Most of it is incest.

The game is badly in need of a sense of the player being able to make a difference. There was that sense in the beginning where you could choose between Olivia GF path, or Lisa GF path. I thought that my buying Alice romantic novels might lead to at least a pseudo-romance with her, or getting her so turned on she gave in. I thought it was going to be a branching choice game with different paths to take.

Then Eric came, and it turned into Eric Friend or Eric War, neither of which was too much fun if you came to play an incest game. There needed to be an Avoid Eric Entirely option. But after that, there weren't really any options at all. It really became a glorified visual novel, where you're along for the ride. Which by itself, wouldn't have been too bad if that path wasn't all blueballing, bdsm, and blackmail. Those things could have been for interesting branches off of a game, but not as the only route.
