It was released h ere because he found out a week ago and the game he said was mostly done already. There is alternatives, but not one thats going to bring him enough money.
ENOUGH MONEY??!!?!???!??!!????!?
What was all that he collected last year?
Pennies?

Funny though how he was already to start making Glamour for no money while BB was paying his way....
Or are you suggesting that money from Patreon was going to pay for BOTH?
Hmmm If that's the case POOF goes your NOT ENOUGH MONEY Excuse...

These bullshit responses about NO MONEY, being FORCED OFF patreon and the ever present "You need to understand how Patreon works" crap really doesn't fly with me....
Especially the latter!
Perhaps it isn't the Patreons who need to understand how Patreon works but the Developers who can rake in big bucks for a half finished game each month and seemingly (according to some) believe they have no responsibility to the folks that stuck with them (and provided salary to them) for a year to provide a finished product and drop it for whatever reason they can come up with.

Yeah sure a lot of developers drop projects and leave them unfinished on Patreon...
And NONE of them will ever be Patreonized again by me!
And they shouldn't be supported by you either.

Using in consideration all the images he released related to Glamour, even if BB gets picked up, I doubt it will be at any reasonable time that would be considered as "soon". But, then again, miracles happen...
Depends. "Reasonable" for me means within a year or two. I don't expect much from BB-front for at least a few months.

I can not imagine working effective on two projects, so if something new comes up on patreon, its hard to imagine how BB should survive. It seems that patreon is so profitable for these gamemakers, that they see no alternative to offer their work there and bow to patreons requirements.

ROFLMAO

All the bullshit we went through? What the heck is that? LMAO. You went through bullshit? If you're a patron, all you did was just giving him money. That's all. There's no "bullshit" for you to go through LOL.

This is probably the single most entitled sounding post I've ever read in my whole life.
LOL All we did was give him money....And how did we get that Money to give him?
By doing an incomplete job at work and telling our Boss, "hey you didn't pay me to finish the job, just do it for a month!"?

I don't want to burst your bubble but none should ever expect porn games to be finished. When you support a developer on Patreon, you are essentially paying for development time and not a finished product. The outcome (finished product) is like playing Russian Roulette, only that the revolver already has 5 bullets in the chamber. Almost no developer whatsoever has any code/business acumen. I don't know why people can't drive that in their heads.

In BB's case, you pulled the trigger.
And you do realize that this attitude is going to stop that Patreon Money Train from pulling into the developer station if you keep telling the folks with the Money that they really aren't getting anything but lip service.
In time people will not patreonize you UNTIL a project is completed.
Developers need to stop thinking of Patreon as some sort of Unemployment Insurance where they can write 500 lines of code each month for a quick $2K and then dump it when something else comes along.

That attitude may make you believe you are servicing your customers....
But it's more like the way the Bull Services the Cow!

Should've finished the stories before quiting the game. It's a middle finger towards patreons, it's that simple.
Patreon rules or not, could've been done on the sideline, not Patreon related but as a endnote, anything really.
BB owes it to the patreons, because without them, the developers would be sniffing glue right now, just saying.

Funny thing is this game is receiving more praise than it deserves.
It's just images, and even the seduction mod which is fanmade is in itself better than 90 percent of the whole game...
No idea how this game got this popular.

You paid on the 1st day of the month to get an update on the 2nd day of the month.
Did you or did you not get an update on the 2nd day of the month? Of course you did.
Have you paid for a full game? Of course you have not.

What is so hard to understand?

Your analogy about work is completely off because if you are only paid for a month by your boss, then your boss will only get a month's worth of work from you. Why would you work for more than a month if your boss only pays you for a month?

The Statement of the DmD maker was clear for everybody! "I´ll go one with my game with or without Patreon, and there can´t blackmail me to start another game. It coast me money and time but i w´ll find a way to update the game in my way. Not under control as Patreon already is. We believe on knowlege not on hope as Patreon do.

I can buy any COMPLETED AAA game for about $40-60!
Tell me I'm getting my money's worth on a $40 monthly Patreon charge...How many renders are in this release again?

And my Analogy is dead on, because if he paid me for a year to do something I had better finish it before the year was out or he would likely fire me!

I kind of liked this update and it would be a shame if it would not be continued and finished.

However, and this applies to most games here, the logic of Max' development with Ann would support that other scenes between them two would also be more 'close' and 'intimite'. However, these interactions only appear with the new scenes. I understand that it would require more work, but it would make a better game.

You're complaining about your own bad decision though.

You chose to spend $40/month on a patreon page. You got a $40/month worth of game update. Whether that $40/month amount is worth your money or not, that's completely up to you. You got what you paid for.

Be a man and take ownership of your own action. Don't be the guy that blame others for his own mistake.

*Sigh*

Well, I'm almost done with every quest in the game so far. Just gotta finish "New Job" and then that will be it. Game over. And there's so many unresolved storylines in this.

Will Max ever get to pop Lisa's cherry?
What's going to happen with Olivia and her mother? Will Max actually get to do both of them at some point?
What's going to happen with Vicky the bartender?
And finally, will the Mother ever find out that Max's is pretty much screwing everyone in the house (including her) and what will happen when she does?

SO many unresolved storylines that I would LOVE to have resolved. This is such a great game and I just want it to continue. I hope the creator can solve their issue with Crapeon and somehow finish this game cause it is the best game I have played from this site so far, up there with Dating My Daughter and I'm like Oliver Twist, "Please sir, I want some more."

If people believe that they are not getting their money's worth, then they should definitely stop funding. I don't understand what you're saying. BB particularly has been in development for over a year and the incremental versions have been only up to 0.13. I'm not even discussing the length and/or quality of each individual update, which is a different topic altogether. By the looks of it, the v1.0 version which tends to be the Release Candidate at a rate of 1 update per month would be out in give or take 7 years from now.

If we assume this project was funded at 6k a month (which I'm fairly certain is much higher but for argument's sake I'm using this) then patrons payed 72.000$/y for a project that nominally was in alpha. If we further assume (word of the day) that it would take 7 years for this project to finish, we're looking at 576k/8y. Does this project look like something worth over half a million bucks to you? This is the only question that you really need to answer my friend.

People need to be more selective with which games they are willing to support. Just like Steam early access. Everything is a risk, but after a while you can easily discern the projects that make it and the projects that don't. Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice shame on you. And considering past experience with DS (Glamour which was also abandoned), I already got fooled.

LOL. This is stupid. Nobody paid an employee a year's worth of salary in advance. And even if you got paid for a year, what that means is that your employer got one year's worth of work for you. Not "something I had better finish before the year" because the finish of a project depends on many different factors and not just your sheer willpower.

You paid DS for a year (assuming you are his patron from beginning), but how do you expect BB to finish? There are still so many loose ends that it would easily take 6 months or more to finish it. Your "I paid you for a year" does not equate to "it must finish in a year". If the end of BB is version 0.19, then it takes 18 months to complete, not 1 year. If he introduced more new storylines, then it will take even longer than 18 months. Still not 1 year.

It baffles me how petty some people can be. It's like going to a fancy restaurant and pay $300 steak and then complain that you could've got three hundred $1 tacos instead. It's your own free will and choice to be a patron and to spend what kind of money. If you can't afford $40/month pledge for DS, then don't pledge.

People need to be more selective with which games they are willing to support.
And on top of this, people need to be comfortable with the tier-level of their pledge. They need to understand that their pledge is essentially a one-way donation to the creator. If money is an issue, do not pledge. Only pledge what you can afford and be comfortable if you don't see any return. Just like tipping a waiting staff at the restaurant. It's a thank you for your work. It's not a you work for me now because I gave you money.
