I really dont like live 3D animations and possible first person controls in porn games. You inevitably need to use both hands to play and the UI is 90% in games that does it shit to use and I detest controlling the camera myself. It is clunky to use, takes one out of the immersion and in general is hard to fap to. Until you found the right camera angle you went flacid again.
I recently played the Last Hope from Poolside Games and you have exactly that what I described. What a bad design decision for a porn game.
Guess it was to much work to have pre rendered scenes going forward.
Also the shader on the models and lighting in general were miles ahead before the "Remake". Whats with the last 2 pictures on the OP. From what I understand the dev didn't even change engines. How can this happen?

Nothing was wrong with the original but if you tried to play small complex which is in the same engine as the old one it had some graphical problems which made your game look like looking at a kaleidoscope or black hole.
that and unity is alot more consistent of a 3d engine than the old one.
Only if flat has long hair to compensate the lack of chest.

I'm all for updating games with new engines...but what's the point in releasing this if not all the features from the original are available....
you can actually get into the bathroom before it hits 20, go in at around 19:30 and hide in the corner with the plants and she wont see you wait till she get into the tub then unlock the door handle and walk in on her and she does nothing ( c key to crouch)

I'd like to point out that Don has been holding back releasing the new version of BLC cause he wanted to get it to at least were the OG version is, this is someone else deciding to post his stuff, and is not the version he intended to release. Not even a week or two ago he was talking about how he was releasing it as a beta test cause people kept bugging him about it.
TLDR: Isn't the intended version, let the dude cook for fuck's sake

All those 10 months must have inspired the dev to try something new in a different engine again. Unreal Complex? So you can experience the same level of barebones interaction but with raytracing.

Love how people come to bitch as soon as they can. It literally JUST got remade, and its not like Don has a history of fucking people over, so back off. You can tell that he hasn't just been wasting his time just from the screens, which DO look better. You want to go bug someone, do it to a dev that deserves it, like the lust and power dev.

notice that Don isn't the one posting it, this wasn't meant for release like this, more than likely a beta tester or something posting this and making the game look worse, Don stated on his discord he wanted to flesh things out more and get it closer to the OG 3.1 before releasing

I think your confused, this is the only remake that BLC has gone through, if your thinking SC, that was a tech demo that turned into a game after people bugged Don about it enough

This might be true but what it showed us was a big change in gameplay and what we can expect going forward or not?
If the don want to change engines for whatever reasons sure let him do that but keep the gameplay he got his fans from.
I thought the running around map like he did was unique and the pre rendered sex scenes will be in my eyes always superior opposed to live 3D.
I just dont like it and that wouldn't have changed even if the release has the same content as before.
You can always correct me and say that this is him testing things out and he will eventually go back and implement the gameplay he had pre "remake" but I highly doubt that.
Edit: I also saw that Don himself posted a public beta of this game in the new engine so whats about that? Does it differ that much from the version of the uploader in this thread?

The original was already in Unity. Then the tech demo shenanigans happened and he decided to switch from VM to Real Time. Which is still technically the same engine. So this isn't really an excuse. Its not like switching from RenPY to Unity or vice versa. The game was given a remake after a tech demo but that remake has absolutely no where near the original game's content. Not even close. It just screams of developer mismanagement especially when their Patreon alone makes 2500 a month on average in up and down cycles with releases.
Maybe they will be more streamlined and content will now flow, but this is the same pattern of behavior we see time and again.
Release promising game > have a few consistent releases > money starts rolling in > releases start slowing down > dev abandons original project for side projects or remake > remake comes out that still is meh but with 80% of the original's progress content stripped out.
