Well… is not that there was something wrong with it. Don taco is now using Unity, that means more animations, better graphics etc. He’s doing a lot of work. We also have to remember that developers have lives outside making games.
Last one was on unity though......

People are complaining rightfully so because scrapping the entirety of the content of the original for this, which still has a ton of problems is far different than just reworking some animations. Its not like the remake fixed everything, it just introduced a bunch of other problems all for the sake of 1+ year of content being axed. And its in the same engine.

I personally think if at any point a dev does a remake like this that needs to remove all the content progress of the original, the dev should pause their monetary until close to parity is reached.
I'm under the impression that they shifted to a new engine but you say they arent.... Also that it was because people kept bitching about the quality of animations. True or false?

I'm trying to clarify then, because that seems to be the primary (claimed) reason for this including some of the chatter in here, but people are just pissed because he's redoing the already done content to do so?

Never got around to playing the initial version so I'm just kinda indifferent.

Could be le "remake" scam/grift but given there's direct feedback to where a guy might just get pissed and redo the main thing people kept shitting on him for I could see it being legit. WAit and see I guess. He's not one of my subs so... :LUL:

IIRC the dev was using some gamedev environment that outputted into the Unity engine, but wasn't using Unity directly. Now they're directly using Unity itself. Same engine, different development tools and presumably no convenient way to port over what was already done on top of unforeseen technical issues (GPU dying and whatnot, and for some reason deciding to go more prerendered 3D animations instead of just images).

These people are gobbling up Don's taco like they're getting paid for it. :KEK:
Remember when I mentioned people that got their nuts twisted? This is what I'm talking about.

A TEST build on patreon, and they're taking it as a public release.
For the record, I've never given the dev a single cent in my life.
I just don't have my personally centered around porn games.
