Right... why do people thinks that making a game where advancing is more of a chore than having fun, instead of having a fun game?
Yes you can shoot zombies in the first level since you start with the gun but then you are bog down to the mansion where unless you know where to look you have no idea where items are due to the overal darkness, plus you are forced to kite invincible fatmen around and around because "resident evil always had the invincible guy which chases you".
At least in the actual resident evil i can understand where i want to go, where i am and the chasing guy isn't where key items are, except for some occasions (like when you have to move ada in the second)
