Yeah, H end is the definitive ending that was added in DLC 3, highly likely that it's the ending that will lead into future games like D end in bs 1 is the ending that leads into 2. Make sure you have Prickett's ring in your inventory so you can see the full ending. Doesn't have to be equipped.

AFAIK, Black Souls III will take a while and donnu if the others game in the meantime got out, stimation for BS III according to a previous post that I read is that we will get it in 2027... hopefully

question, can i beat the game my way then next run follow the walkthrough word for word ?
Of course. First time going in blind to get a feel for the setting is usually recommended.
The guide on page 1 is mainly there because the game has so much content, event flags & semi-secrets.
The only thing i recommend even for a blind run to make farming faster for you.
"If" you want to know: If you reach the main hub area. There is a red box/suit case. Spam interact with it until you get 2 rings. One doubles souls & one doubles item droprate.

Just looking at the release dates on dlsite, it took about a year and half between 1 and 2. But dlc 1 took a few months, 2 took nearly a year, and 3 took a year and half. May or may not have only been working on them during that time.

yes, there's multiple paths you can choose to see different things and unless you feel like moving at a snail's pase you'll inevitably miss one thing or another. just occasionally slow down and revisit areas you've already cleared.
