I agree.
I did manage to make a render that would be hard to distinguish from the original (I managed to get to this result after many attempts and after having to search for the assets myself. There are some details to get right, such as the pose, nail color, breast size, etc., but you can get the idea):
However, if I were to create a scene that Rainces hadn't made, that is, without the visual reference, it would certainly have a different style, aesthetics and poses than the one he uses, even if I tried to emulate his style. It's like you said, each artist will put individual touches on what they do.
And the writing is another glaring difference between Rainces and Ziptie. I'm absolutely certain that they're not the same person. Given the time Rainces spent making the game, he would have to like what he was doing, so he would put ideas that he likes, and Ziptie's ideas are very different. Even his sense of humor is different.
As for the code, I wouldn't know what to say. As a player, it doesn't seem to me that the ZIP code has any problems. For what it intends, it seems that the code can deliver. A kinetic story has a very basic code, but for a kinetic story a simple code will do.
hahahah good point.
I agree! But about the game over system, it already existed in BBS. In the original version, when you choose to spank more Lucy's ass and Bob starts rubbing her dick, Anna catches him and it's obviously game over. In the first Zips version Anna sees the scene and just sends Bob to the bedroom and in the other day Lucy tells Anna what Bob did, as if she hadn't seen it! Zip reused dialogues from the original, which made his version full of inconsistencies. In his version it was game over if the player chose to rape Lucy, which made Anna appear holding an axe and kill Bob. There was an 8-bit fighting music while Bob was fighting Lucy. Anyway... some really silly random stuff and it seems that Zip didn't evolve since then. Why do I remember these details? I don't remember, but I wrote several game reviews on the Lewdninja website and they're all there and I was able to reread my comments about darkpath from years ago.
