Guys, since it seems that most of you don't know how kidney stones work, here's a short version. Some ppl, like me, have trouble expelling excess calcium (the most common kidney stone) that accumulates inside kidneys due to high consumption of dairy products and salt. they are asymptomatic while in the kidney if small, but then they get released in the bloodstream, partially clogging the system and causing incredibly painful spasms (about as much as giving birth according to doctors). Yet for small stones, the event lasts a few hours and is resolved by drinking a lot and rest. No long term consequences.
Biggest stones might need shockwave lithotripsy, uteroscopy, percutaneous nephrolithomy or nephrolithotripsy. But even in this case, the stones are removed at once and to form another one so big that requires such treatments requires years, if not decades and that only if the patient doesn't change his lifestyle one bit. So unless bones had such a big stone that it clogged the artery and now needs a new kidney (which would require not going to the hospital for hours despite blinding pain), he's full of it.
