I just hopped on to mention that this is now on Steam. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it.
Man, the memory leak in this game would put many mmos from 10 years ago to shame. Performance after half an hour or so goes in the toilet, in particular in forest zones.

I'm having some issues running the game well. I've got a GTX 960 with 2Gb of memory and I'm guessing that the choppiness is due to the GPU running out of memory - leading to constant memory reallocation and choppiness. Tried to a slight overclock, but that had no effect whatsoever.
Is there a way to force the game to load the textures at a lower resolution than intended or can you recommend other methods to reduce the games GPU memory use?

EDIT: The game runs pretty we'll near the home building, but slows to a crawl when multiple creatures spawn, maybe disabling the fur shader is somehow possible?

Steam = the free version unless you're a patron, as a patron you get a code that allows you to download the patreon version from steam.
The version here = the patreon version.
In other words if you're pirating the game don't download it from steam, keep getting it here. If you're already a patron and you don't mind your mates knowing what you play get it through steam to save bandwidth.
