Pretty much, one of the reasons I don't support games (as selfish as it is), most of the time it's either promising a game only to put out updates at a snail's pace, or abandon it entire.
The main reason they even bother with the entire project is because the majority of patron supporters just support stuff then forget about it, but still pay because it's basically a subscription. Basically securing a passive income.
Breeding games are particularly bad since this is like the third one made and still no completed product, so the people who do support are just desperate to get one game by the turn of the century.
I've considered doing it myself since the economy is shit and it's seemingly easy money if you can program/draw, but honestly I don't think I could even live with being at the low of "porn game developer turned scam artist" lol
