To use the USB on the laptop you must first get it from Jeff by doing quests in the classroom.
Other possibilities of why you have the quest mark on MC room are : stand has new event , or its weekend and the diary has events you have not seen. (It pops up in the room during weekend.)

To get that menu click on the laptop to use it for the first time.

why is that ALL japanese men look the same in these games. is there only ONE option? however i like this game. it is... Charming.. and the animations are Vetty Nice. i will continue to hmm, play this game.
