I don't know if anyone said it yet, but you might wanna overthink the abbreviation "cp" for the game, just sayin'...
Hey man, once the FBI comes busting down your door ('cause, y'know, in the world of all the other innocuous CP abbreviations on the internet, since it has like hundreds, they're busy monitoring some porn game's download files just 'cause of that), you can just do a quick playthrough of Camp Pinewood for them and everything will be alright. Who knows, some of them may even like it.

Like, sure, it could just be named camppinewood2_016.zip, but at the end of the day, unless you're actually hiding a collection of such material and it gets you paranoid...why would you care?

It's not so much a 'sequel,' as more of a 'reboot.'

The dev tried switching game engines in the middle of making the first game, which caused it to kinda go tits-up. So yeah, that one IS abandoned. It sounds like this "sequel" is basically just him trying to restart with a clean slate.

I can see how some people would find that a little sketch, but he's still putting out updates, so can't complain too much. Even if it is slow going...
Gotcha, makes sense then. Ya I had saw this and was just wait a sec wtf

It's been answered before... literally on the same page as your comment. Basically, this is less of a sequel and more of a reboot.
The original Camp Pinewood was made in Unity, but approx. half way through development, the Dev decided to swap over to Ren'Py. This turned out to be a very, very bad idea; the Ren'Py version was horrible. So, the dev, who had apparently deleted the Unity files after porting the game over to ren'py (understandable; he didn't want a depreciated version of the game sitting around if he was never going to do anything with it), and so, instead of re-porting the game back to Unity, he decided it would be best just to have a fresh start and so started making this.
a reboot. with a 2 on it i think that there should have been the word reboot. having a 2 on the tile means sequel

Do I need to play Camp Pinewood (the previous one) before I play this? I'm asking cuz there are a few references from Camp Pinewood (1) even though it was abandoned

What the fuck happened to the art? Why did they make it worse?
A side by side of the old vs new:

And yes, that's the original on the left, and the new style on the right. I was actually looking forward to future updates, but damn...

Art on the right looks like previous camp pinewood game but that one was a mess so I cannot really say what is happening or will happen with this game... Maybe dev decided to go back to previous art because people liked it more or it's easier to make?

that would be because rather many people were complaining about the art direction, people loved the cartooney cute style it used to be, so they went back to that

One on the left Sexy one on the right not sexy not sure why they decided to downgrade , having a hard time believing people actually requested that seem's more plausible artist wanted something easier to make. imo.
