From my understanding from a post they made awhile back, this project is to be considered a remake of the original. With time, drawing ability and coding skill improved and to make the old game into what they wanted would have effectively required to remake the entire game. That being the case, they effectively dropped that one and began work on this one which will be apparently, what they had envisioned from the first one. More story, better art, more to do, etc.

Dont thihnk of it like them abandoning the old one. Think of it like they learned a lot from the first one and decided to remake it, even better this time.

I don't know if you have played the demo build of this remake, but when I first played the v0.1, I abandoned instantly by seeing the gross change they made on art. In the main post, there is a few imgs of what it was about to be the new art, which it was in the first build, and how much they improve it for this project. Then, this new build came out, and they throw down every expectation of the players. This is an adult porn game, and the new art, looks to cartoonish for an adult game.
At this point, there is nothing to do about art. The artist that was in charge of the art of the game, have probably abandoned the project before the first release, or the owners moved him away of the project, IDK 'cause I'm not following them to know the news.
Good luck to the brave ones who will waste their time expecting this game to be greater that it could.

Okay, I'm not a patron, and I won't pay yet due to I dislike the new art, which is messy, but, are they really listening to the patrons? There was an agremment about changing the art style? Now that we know that, will they step back to the original desings of this reboot, or will they keep it as they are right now?

I know, thanks for sharing TT-TT This game looks so promising, now I can't even see the new art

The dev seems a bit ADHD, I was on their patreon for a bit and they released absolutely nothing for 2 months. They talked about a lot of different projects they had all going on at once but they didn't seem interested in actually progressing on any of them. It was like an even more transparent version of Star Citizen but for a half dozen point and click Hgames that barely let you even click on a boob.

Not much of an update but I'm not too surprised.

I can't say I don't like it. I always liked the original even if it was a mess. It's not like this isn't also a mess.

This was a pretty good game when I first encountered it, (v1.1). But, it went downhill first, when he changed the engine to Renp'y, and later when nothing worked right. This version has poor artwork, and poor animation. The sex scenes are terrible, (dis-embodied hands and penis). Probably not going to waste any more of my time on it.

I think the main thing that this game needs which turned me away from the original is better character dialogue. You'd fuck a character and then the scene would end and your character would just be left saying "cool".
