Is anyone else unable to pick up the wild draconic form? the jar is there in that room, but I cant actually interact with it. is that just another thing that isn't in the steam version yet? also, could we get an updated cosmetic list that tells us which cosmetics aren't in the steam version? I was looking around for the oasis dragon cosmetics, and I couldn't find the little shack that the mark spawns in, and I was able to find the spot where the hide should have been, but the chest just wasn't there.

I'll update my posts sometime over the course of this week, but I have the patreon version instead and I'll need to rely on other people to figure out what's been intentionally removed from Steam.

So it looks like that may have been my bad on the wild dragon form, I just looked at the imgur link and it appears I was looking at the wrong canopic jar. I will double check tomorrow, but I am pretty sure that I was in the right spot and the oasis dragon hide chest wasn't there, not sure if the mark of the oasis dragon and it's shack aren't in, or if I just could not find it. It also appears that the ebony skin chest isn't in, but if they are, someone please correct me. On a side note, is there a "hide of the thunder dragon", or is there only the "aspect" head customization?

So regarding placement and locations, a good chunk of the map got rearranged with the last update so I'm going to need to redo my imgur links. There was a search earlier for the ebony skin, but I don't know if that was resolved. The entire town the oasis dragon hide was in got redone with the map, so it probably got moved too. I've never found a hide of the thunder dragon, and I haven't seen mention of it in any update logs. As far as I know it's just the head.

Is this game shovel ware?
As a developer myself, and one who uses the same engine as Carnal Instinct(The engine being Unreal Engine 4), I'm able to spot a ton of things.

Many of the games assets are off of marketplaces and free repositories of assets. Which isn't inherently bad, but this shortcut is fooling people into thinking more work was put in than there actually was. Even the player movement animations and climbing ability, are all from a marketplace asset called A.L.S.. Which isn't bad either, but then I realized they've barely modified it. And the minor issues with the asset still exist in this game.

So what work is their own?
Well likely the character models. I can vouch for common UnrealEngine4 assets being market assets, like whats used to build the environment, but I cannot vouch for porn models. The head models are very most likely custom. I have no idea if their modified or reused in any way. Their combat could be their own, but its main mechanics are incredibly similar to existing marketplace items I've seen before. The waypoint compass I've seen before, but very well maybe custom. Same for the map screen. Voice acting is fresh, dialogue is fresh story is fresh, sex scene animations are fresh, the level design is fresh, etc etc.

There's so little here they've actually done so far themselves, and a ton of core elements are super likely to be marketplace assets. Yet here they are with a $30 price tag and 1,700 patrons!?!?
I know this sounds crazy, but really there's hardly anything here that isn't reused contents. granted, contents put together very intelligently. But still. The game has soooo many flaws. With how much shortcutting they've taken, I would expect it to have saved them enough time to have already fixed issues.

Here are some common issues: limited animation replay-ability. Cant go back sex animation level, to see a part you preferred. Unskipable sex cut-scenes(if someone doesn't care for a certain animation, their forced to wait it out sometimes). Slow and monotonous world traversal. Waypoints don't have names. Some more stuff I'm forgetting.

While there's so little they have had to make themselves, why aren't these core components cleaned up by now? Your really gonna make a porn game where you cant replay or go back on an animaton??? THATS SUCH A SMALL BUT IMPORTANT DETAIL!

These guys are smart, don't get me wrong. "Our team has over 20 years development experience and brings that formidable expertise to bear in this ambitious open-world adventure." Their not putting in work like they have 20 years experience, but they sure are abusing the system like they do. They have an intelligent selection, and financial plan which is just good enough to not bother thousands. But as a developer, it bothers me. I struggle to do things like this due to morals. But seeing how few people care, maybe I should just throw in the moral towel and do what their doing. Honestly. Their making shitloads off of this game, which has less work put into it than my own SFW games on my professional alt account.

Greater effort ≠ greater success. At least not when it comes to porn games for some reason. Its a very "think smarter, not harder, minus the morals" kinda system.

At least this guys continue their work as they can. And it's good that they copied basic animations. Compare it to wildlife, you can't even climb, why didn't they just downloaded it there if there is a martkeplace?

Wait, why wouldn't you make a team and create some good game yourself?
Why there so many experts as your but still more than 90% porn games is abandoned?

well they copuld've at least placed some of the rocks in a way that they won't be see-through from the back
other than that, yeah tons of games get abandoned and it seems to be a tradition that big 3D projects go at snail's pace with content :|
not that I know enough of behind the scenes to judge

As a fellow dev myself I feel you man. But dont be too hard on these guys, they are doing genuine work in areas where they need to while taking shortcuts where they can. You and I both know how long, complicated and expensive it is to make games like these so getting at them for their patreon count isnt really fair, they need way more to really make this fly but they are doing what they can to get there, even if it involves taking routes that some might find immoral. Personally I dont have an issue with what they are chosing to make themselves and what they get from marketplaces. The game looks nice and it definitely makes the right impression with the masses to get them the support they need to move this forward. Same with wild life just a different project. When they started it was also some marketplace desert landscape and kubold female animation pack, but characters and sex animations where original of course, so not that different from carnal instinct, and look where wild life is now. I think every project that has big ambitions should learn from these and take the lessons they need to make their own foundation for a great game.
From what ive seen that can go two ways now. If we compare carnal instinct to wild life: Carnal instinct started with the game aspect while giving people a good overview of what the sex content would look like. It is working great for them so far.
Wild life started with just a ton of sex content to get people on board and are slowly transitioning to making the actual game. This might cause some issues with the community who joined in to get big sex content and didnt really want a game. But I guess you get those fronts colliding anyway, even carnal instinct has this issue with some people demanding more sex content and some demanding expansion of gameplay content. Its up to them to prioritise, they will always lead to some long faces but also many happy ones.

Compare it to wildlife, you can't even climb, why didn't they just downloaded it there if there is a martkeplace?
Maybe because they are doing the systems themselves? Just because something is available on the marketplace doesnt mean you should use it if it doesnt fit your needs well enough. Oh and btw. you CAN climb in wild life, not sure where you got that idea from.

No, because they're not paying anyone to include it on computers being sold in stores. It also isn't an asset flip, although as you noted below, it makes use of generally available unreal engine assets.

And? What's your point with this? Are they stealing assets? Or are these assets available for developers to buy and use? If it's inherently bad for developers to buy assets, as you're implying, why isn't it inherently bad for them to buy and use an engine?

So what work is their own?

So the work they put into building a detailed map out of pre-existing assets doesn't count, the custom assets they use don't count, and anything similar to existing assets don't count? Hell, you can't even name most of the assets you're claiming aren't theirs, and are just assuming they weren't made by team carnal because they're similar to other games. I guess I can't add a rotating compass with map icons to my games ever, because Skyrim did that first. And obviously minimaps are right out because those have existed since the 90s. And don't even get me started on using swords or bows in games, because those've been in games for fifty years.

This game has better voice acting (for the few characters who have it) than several AAA games I've played. The map is reasonably sized for the content it currently has, and well detailed even if the assets may be third party. The character models are very well made and the sex scenes are improving over time as well.

Not gonna lie, I think you're dramatically underestimating the work that goes into something like this. Especially since we don't actually know how many people are in Team Carnal or what their specializations are. This is a game that has been publicly in development since last october (so just under six months), putting out a new build every two weeks since the start.

I'm going to be blunt: I am a developer who has 100% from scratch games on Steam that don't sell nearly as well as Carnal Instinct does, and while I see their progress as vaguely slow and might be a bit envious of how much money they're making, I don't think it warrants this kind of commentary. At least not yet. Especially from someone who took the twenty years superlative at face value, rather than assuming it's the sum total from everyone involved.

You're commenting on and criticizing an early alpha game (in the classical sense - they're still adding core mechanics and redoing existing mechanics) as though it were in beta. I think their decision to make it available for purchase so early in development is a bit low, but clearly they know how to sell a product so regardless of the morality of selling an unfinished project it's obviously working out well for them.

I will offer you one point about morals: the developers are deliberately withholding content from Steam builds to encourage people to subscribe. It's a low blow, especially since the content in question tends to be popular cosmetic options, which is a really big deal for a game where a primary selling point is the characters and their bodies.

the game is good even if its alpha you talk but you see the cp2077 that game was an alpha even if they sell it better then cdpr

Hi
Need your help.
Can anyone tell me where I can find the part for the cat's body?
So far I've only ever found that for the dragon.
Thanks and greetings

Sorry for my English
