From the Discord yesterday:

We aim for the first half but it'll probably be in a few more days as it involves us rummaging around in the guts of the game to start hooking in all the camp stuff (not that it'll be released in the first update but that we had to pull and replace parts)

Didn't help that our animator and myself were both unwell dead for a few days, but I'm back on things from tomorrow and we'll weave what we were previously doing in with the other stuff (prior to putting a pretty ribbon on top and kicking it to the wolves ~20th)

Nah, the discord is public. That said, about half of the channels are limited to Patreon subscribers, though there are public steam equivalents.

They're fully aware that people from here are in their server and interacting (and even that some members, such as I, pay for the game), but they see the site itself as something akin to persona non grata.

For reasons varying from direct accusations of asset theft to open, public work on bypassing protections the developers put in place, they're not particularly fond of this place. They're fully aware that people from here are in their server and interacting (and even that some members, such as I, pay for the game), but they see the site itself as something akin to persona non grata.

They preferred to see their game being listed here as a harm rather than a benefit, not a very smart move I would say.

oh for sure, ill probably only join up when i get the 10$ tier. def wouldn't have found out about them if it weren't for f95 though, hopefully that helps balance out the harm and good this site can offer X}P

While i agree on not wanting this kind of idiots on their discord, which can also come from paying plattforms, F95 is a huge ass site and gives them a lot of exposure and a lot of potential, paying patrons. So throwing them all into the same pot is more than just stupid.

Try reading the thread, perhaps? This thread is on the latest version that can reasonably be distributed (Steam) because the Patreon builds have uncracked protection. Not only that, the developers DMCA any download provider that will accept DMCA requests, so we will never be able to maintain a MEGA link for this game.
