can yu explain how yu cheat in the game ??Cheat engine worked for me, changed essence and gold values
That is something they've mentioned as a feature for DSS 2.0. It does not appear that this update includes that, or they'd be making a much bigger deal about it. TBH I would be surprised if Steam got the new Dynamic Sex System before Patreon because with how prone these devs are to critical bugs, it would be a mistake to push that out to Steam without testing.Did they mention finally unlocking the camera during sex scenes for that update, or it still crappy preset bad angles?
Finally some information for steam users, damn, that was a long waiting...You must be registered to see the links
The next Major Content Update will be coming out June 1st!
Hey Everyone!
It's been too long, no really, this wasn't supposed to be this long. The next Steam Major Content Update will be dropping June 1st. Along with the update we'll be doing a big blog post with everything we added, updated and fixed, but here's the highlights in a mini-dev blog while we iron out the last of the bugs. Other than the Initial Unreal Engine 5 build, this was easily our biggest update we've done, with new systems, mapping, quests, NPCs.
New Systems
- Slavery
- Magic
- Fishing
- Shade Sight
- World Events
New Faction - The Gilded Fold
Coming along with a huge new map expansion, slavery mechanics and 3 faction quests, the Gilded Fold are now in Sabu.
Players will get their first look at the walled-gardens of these flesh-traders, hinting at the questline to come. Initially you'll be able to sell slaves to the Gilded Fold, eventually gaining enough reputation to make use of their cages and chains to obtain slaves of your own.
The initial slavery tutorial quest will be part of the update, with the rest of the chain arriving after DSS 2.0 (for reasons that are fairly easy to imagine).
New Side Quests
- No Rest for the Wicked(Revamped)
- Depths of Kab'Alrah
New POIs
- Hermitess Inquisitor.
- An aging warrior that seeks a fitting end.
- Ikkemi Villa - a Side Quest Coming there Soon
New Sex Scenes
Three very frustrated centaurs have become stranded on south Medhen Island and I can confirm that you can have Intimate Relations with all three Centaurs as any Form (Minus Formless).
All this and more! Full details will be listed in the Update Blog next Saturday!
Thanks for your support!
Team Carnal Instinct
So there we have it. The much-delayed Steam update comes out in about a week, and we get a bigger post in a few days. Once the update is out, just make an update request over on the Game Requests subforum to get this page updated.
There's a more detailed list of changes from the recent Patreon post, here. After 6 months and reading this I don't feel like it is a "Major" update but hey that's my opinion. Hopefully it won't just be a 1 hour playtime.
Thanks for this but again I don't see it as a "Major" update. Feels like the amount of content is rather low for a 6 months wait. Sure Patreon had access to it sooner but still, the purpose of them switching to UE5 was to make content faster.
It feels inadequate for a. the amount of time and b. for the income they (likely) get. What's bizarre is how one of the team members was off because of health reasons and that for some reason killed development for 3 months. Speaking from the point of view as a full time developer, that just doesn't happen (even in a small team), it causes delays and backup but that can usually be filled by someone else. That's also disregarding if the person talking in the post is a dev or managing the project, in which case the dev's/artists can easily work without management. We're still in UE5 pre pre-alpha, main game on Steam is still the UE4 version, EA description hasn't been updated (false advertisement) and now it feels like we're only getting 2 Steam builds per year (if even) instead of the 4 advertised.
I don't want to shit on the devs or the game, I'm sorry but it's starting to feel like they're just taking their sweet time to cash in the money bags.
Yes, they've said it's an extremely small team (I think three or four? I don't remember precisely)This makes me wonder if Carnal Instinct's team is either extremely small like 2-3 people
That's actually a team of 6 back when they started the UE4 version, I don't know if they hired more since then.Yes, they've said it's an extremely small team (I think three or four? I don't remember precisely)
As for what they're doing with the money, there's no way to know. Too many assumptions are involved with calculating both income and expenditures. All that discussion leads to is arguments where both sides tweak the assumptions in their favor and refuse to listen to the other side.
What we actually know:
Where does this wind up? Nowhere. We don't know enough. Better to just discuss the game than to work ourselves up over what we can't answer.
- Extremely small team comprised of people who are evidently using this as their primary family supporting income.
- Public subscription and sales numbers that don't account for publisher cuts or specific sales prices
- The developers have unspecified expenses on tools and services they use. They evidently hire out for both voice acting and motion capture, but just like the rest of the expenses and income we can only guess the numbers involved.
Edit: As for the game itself, that's legitimately a ton of work that they have mentioned in the post. It's easy to underestimate the time that goes into mapping in particular, and they've not only included significant map expansions but also several new mechanical systems, multiple new quests and side quests, as well as new items, armor, and weapons.
Oh, and they shrank boob size again because clipping.
It was four when I first saw mention (Echo, MMax, Gargleham, and Z are the original "Team Carnal", afaik), but it appears they may have hired a writer (Pelorix) and contracted out to another developer (credited as "Bob") since then. Bob is also the name of one of their moderators, so I have no idea if they are paid for the role or whether the other moderators are paid as well. That's actually a team of 6 back when they started the UE4 version, I don't know if they hired more since then.
No, it's me saying "I have seen this argument on this thread too many times before, and I would really, really prefer that it not happen again considering it will be founded almost purely on assumptions and tends to bury the thread in multiple pages of increasingly combative posts."No offense but what you're saying sounds like "Let's not think about it and just consume".
I am not dismissing legitimate questions - I'm trying to defuse a pre-loaded argument that I've seen multiple times in the past. These developers have significant scheduling problems and incredibly obvious QA problems, and they always have.So again, no offense but you can't just dismiss people asking legit questions about their management and what they're doing with the money. Shiny screenshots and ideas on a paper don't make good games.
Yeah all right, fair enough. Seems like you don't want any unwanted headaches, I can understand that. You've clearly been on this thread a lot longer than me. My point still stands though, not derailing the topic to dev discussion is hard when you have no content for half a year and also treating Steam users as second class citizen, making that whole early access thing useless. It was four when I first saw mention (Echo, MMax, Gargleham, and Z are the original "Team Carnal", afaik), but it appears they may have hired a writer (Pelorix) and contracted out to another developer (credited as "Bob") since then. There is a reason that the general rules have rule 2.7 (" Avoid excessive discussion about development. Talking about developers is fine, but derailing the game discussion with multiple pages of the same arguments concerning development speed, delays, pricing, etc is not "), and that reason is that threads like this getting derailed by precisely this discussion are a recurring headache for site staff.
And this is also why I won't be replying any further on the income/spending discussion now that I've clarified why I'm trying to overtly redirect the discussion back to the game itself.
Speaking of which, some recent in-discord poll results:
As a related side note, it would appear that at least some of the development time over the last six months has gone into content that is not yet available. How much? Can't begin to tell you, that would be built on assumptions just as much as the income discussions are.
- The first poll winner for a DSS 2.0 scene is "Intimate bathing (every inch lathered)"
- The second poll winner for a DSS 2.0 scene is "Handmaiden in pillory (tied up and starved of pleasure)"
- The third poll winner for a DSS 2.0 scene is "Damaris - Kiss the shy Felian, leading to more... (Player Top/Dom) " (this won by literally one vote)
can yu explain how yu cheat in the game ??
Quick answer: no, not really.Quick question, this game was tagged as 'vore.' Is it a major vore game?
i see, haven't played it yet, but is there anything to look out for to find said vore scenes or interactions?Quick answer: no, not really.
No, the vore thing was a joke by the devs that made its way into the tags and that evidently won't be removed. There is no explicit vore content in the game, and per later statements made by the developers there never will be.i see, haven't played it yet, but is there anything to look out for to find said vore scenes or interactions?
I only played UE5 version to playtest the game as it's being worked on, but I can't recall any vore. The closest element is the Kravenrook failed stealth mission gameover, and that's more if an implication since I remember it as a short cutscene leading to a black-screen kind of death.i see, haven't played it yet, but is there anything to look out for to find said vore scenes or interactions?
i see, thanks for letting me know though. No, the vore thing was a joke by the devs that made its way into the tags and that evidently won't be removed. There is no explicit vore content in the game, and per later statements made by the developers there never will be.
