They actually have roughly the same number of quests and sex scenes, but UE5 spreads those out over a much, much larger map. UE4 definitely has a lot more in the way of random forms, equipment, and "equipment".
This game desperately needs a gamedesigner with sanity parameter > 0. And maybe some occasional violent beatings with a keyboard to remind some of them clowns they have to work for money, not just drop random shit hoping it will assemle itself into a complete game.
When I see a mess like this I always remember, that Shell's gamedesign book have paperback edition - so it can be used to physically educate stupid fucks to some Intelligence ++.
Hard to say without knowing what you were doing when it happened. And what version you are playing on.
The NEW sex scenes where you can click on focal points and zoom in on your own should be the standard. There are so many older sex scenes where it is ridiculously annoying to mess with the different preset views to see anything you're actually trying to see.
In general-- I can only bitch so much considering I'm not paying for it but the people who ARE paying for it should be livid. It LOOKS neat but a lot of it needs work.

- A lot of foundational work like crafting elements and whatever are there but, since they're just foundational work, it's just an annoyance when you run out of room in your bags or whatever [not to mention it isn't easy to know when you've reached your limit].
- Only really one avenue for trading stuff [and then 'who cares' because money doesn't really get you noticeably good items or anything fr].
- If the mission isn't straight forward "Hey, talk to this one person" then the mission breaks or can't be finished.
- The farmer's son quest doesn't work for me [found his grave site and whatever but the dad refuses to acknowledge I've done it].
- The fetch quest for the cure for the disease I gathered all the items, tried to talk to the quest NPC, the dialog pops up but then goes away not allowing me to finish the quest.
- Fishing for the Gilded Fold I caught fifteen fish and can't drop them in the barrel.
- Caught a slave and have waited days talking to him intermittently and, if there IS a way to actually 'put him to use' then it isn't obvious because he is still just saying the same lines over and over again with no change.
- Broken dungeons you can accidentally glitch through levels and then reach the end goal and there likely is a trigger that gets missed and the mission refuses to end.
- The swimming system is dumb and weird where for some reason your guy drowns if he swims too long? It's a pain in the ass to always know where a boat is to get anywhere.
- "Presence" has only been useful ONCE and that was for the centaur. Otherwise it is pointless and should be used as a widespread mechanic for if you want to fuck someone.
- The "waiting mechanic" by the campfire is spotty af as far is if you click "Morning" if it will actually take you to morning not to mention time is an extremely loose concept where suddenly I'll look up and the moon just suddenly pops up and it is pitch black outside.

As someone who did pay on Steam you're better off pirating. We both get the same treatment of waiting months for buggy unfinished releases, only difference is you didn't pay for the privilege. They only care about Patreon.

I don't quite get what they're trying to do. Sure, they pieced together a somewhat serviceable Ubislop clone but the world is mostly empty, the gameplay mediocre at best and the sex so far is rather... boring. I haven't seen a single scene so far where the actual penetration is shown, most likely because the oversized pps would need VERY precisely weighted and modeled orifices for the action to even remotely look passable. I'm somewhat convinced that the actual penetration is just the dick model clipping into the other meshes for the most part.
I don't quite get why most people wanting to develop these grand porn games sideline the porn, lel. It's usually not why people play and support these games. But it seems to be working for them financially so what do I know.

Once it's activated with Tab, target the slave properly (the crosshair must change color) then click and hold down left mouse button. You'll see the animation and special effects.
It may require a proper distance and timing to capture the slave. Sometimes the victim resists, and even pushes you back, to avoid capturing.

You need to get your Presence (charisma) above 12.
There are 3 ways:
1. Earn some attribute points and spend them to permanently increase your Presence.
2. Complete the quests at the Gilded Fold and earn the Herders Mask. Once equipped, it gives +2 Presence, and increases other stats as well.
3. The best way to do it is by purchasing from Alkippe the potion called Omorphion. Once used, it temporarily (for 1 minute) increases your presence stats so much that you become irresistible. One minute should be enough to talk Alkippe into having sex.
