I swear people accusing others of 'missing the point completely' overgeneralize and try to one up a simple one sentence reply.
Everyone and the dev know that
- the UE5 versions has less content, but the only one getting updates
- the dev want everyone to switch to UE5 (for feedback, accurate bug reports etc, like, dev reasoning)
- Neither is it hilarious, nor confusing. It is natural.
- many want to stay at UE4 because of content (like, user reasoning)
- Again, it is natural for a user.
No, I wasn't overgeneralizing anything. It was that simple; you missed the point.
- the UE5 versions has less content, but the only one getting updates
I said that already, thanks. I also pointed out that it's really slow going. So unless you specifically just want to see the new content, there isn't much of a reason to idle on the UE5 version if you want to PLAY the EA version. A lot of people just want to mess around in the game and so will play the version with the most content and won't swap until there's parity or enough new content to make it especially worth it. Their current update pace is really slow, so 'tasting' content isn't a good enough reason for many.
THAT is natural. And it IS hilarious that the devs can't seem to understand that. Even now, they're complaining about no one swapping to the UE5 version. Please do explain why that's the case if it's so 'simple' according to you?
- many want to stay at UE4 because of content (like, user reasoning)
- Again, it is natural for a user
That's what
I said. You can't have it both ways. The devs are wondering why no one is going to UE5 version and keep complaining about it. I've listed many obvious reasons why someone wouldn't want to swap, aside from the fact that it takes extra steps too.
Yes, it IS natural. That's what
I said.
Clearly, you're not missing the point at all lmao.
I have to roll my eyes at the regularly evasion of the opponents from the actual consensus between people online. People seem to prioritise ‘being better than you’ over common understanding. Thanks to the internet, we have forgotten how to have respectful and productive discussions.
What are you even going on about?Half your post literally agrees with me. The consensus is literally that most people are staying on UE4. That is again, LITERALLY, why the devs keep complaining about it and wondering why no one is swapping. They even posted the percentage of players still on UE4. There is a reason for that. The consensus is that no one wants to swap to UE5 for a reason.
So yes, it IS hilarious for devs to expect people to go out of their way to sample a trickle of new content when there's so much arguably great (and more) content on the UE4 version they wouldn't be able to access. How are you having such a hard time with such a simple concept? You know what, do me a favor and actually read this back to yourself, because I suspect there's a whole lot of irony going on here:
