Well...that was actually one the first 3 games I ever downloaded on here or itch.io. And nothing really new since I started my "lewd game journey" (with DungeonKeepHer, Sapphire Safari and Carnal Instinct being the first three I tried) last year in november. So I would not call that any more "stable developement" than here on CI to be honest...no Toolbox, no Bounty quests, no Showdown quests with rival teams... a half year after I got it first, nothing of the promised feats I read about is implemented.

And then, I really like me some actual, physical violence in my games, NSFW or otherwise, so Sapphire Safari just really isn't my jam actually. Itz fun for an hour or so, but then I get the aggros and wanna beat up (or at least bravo-foxtrot) one of those dumb-ass foxes or cobras who fark my futa photo-girl up her arse all the time and delete my sweet A+ pics^^. Or one of the devs for the way they did the tutorial.

The one thing that really irks me though: Most animations are somehow borked as of the latest build, hands grabbing into nowhere or clipping into limbs, tits or belly...so no, until that gets a real visual overhaul and seriously expanded on, I ain't wasting time to even look at that game any more.
And another thing that irks me about it: It makes it seem like you can actually access Tundra and that other biome, but as it stands, thats just teasers for content-yet-to-be-implemented. And I wasted hours searching for how to get there, when I could've been taking photos, or playing another game more to my liking. All I'm saying is, a hint from the devs woulda been nice, since they overload the player with tutorial content already (often at tze most inopportune moments), it wouldn't have been too difficult to slip that in somewhere in some useless tut.

Oh, better believe they iz waaay different. I played the UE5 one shortly after it dropped, downloaded it and played it for a week without much interruption earlier this year. And now the UE4 one, for about a week now. UE5 feels like a veeery condensed demo, while UE4 feels like a rather advanced playtest of an actual game. UE4 has loads more of mechanics, NPCs interactions, and the whole setting feels waaay more alive & vibrant than UE5.

But UE4, which I have been playing non-stop for the past week or so, is admittedly also a helluva lot more buggy - like not saving clothing selection on close game, merchants not restocking properly, vessels not spawning thus locking you out of certain cosmetics (as in, even the very first fucking one was missing couple times - the one with the cute punkish haircuts for human form), etc etc....

I still do agree with your idea 110% though, a combo of UE4 build & UE5 build would be most awesome. If map was twice as big as in both the "demos", with twice the number of quests and maybe a few more sidequest POIs & random encounters - and twice the number of sex scenes (as in like, ~30 total, plus the ability from UE4 version to sex up random NPCs strolling around the map), AND most importantly, a player camp with some sort of harem thing going, be it caged slaves like the inquisitor lady or "companions with benefits" like Ahmes - it would already be a total blast :love:.

And with regard to the sex-cut-scenes that don't have interaction, maybe the devs should take a few pointers from Subverse. I know, itz an oldie..but also a goodie. It has A TON of very decent sexy cutscenes for a UE4 game, feels more like a 3D-porn movie with mini-game interludes than a real game at times. But iffen you implement sexy cut-scenes in your game, as they did a lot in CI's UE4 version, I think this would be the better way to do it.
Subverse has tons of sex-cut-scene material (I mean the whole game is what, 60-something gigs, and like at least 80% of that is just video files), all properly edited and showing the action FROM PROPER ANGLES!

It's my one & only gripe with the sex in this game - why on frikkin earth would you go with such dumb-ass, useless and un-sexy camera angles, that show absolutely NOTHING of the action?!? Some instances (in both versions) it's really nice hardcore and shows everthing in awesome furry detail, but at other times iz almost like watching a softcore movie on late night public TV, where you get teased a lot with pretty bodies, but ultimately don't get to see no cuntz or dikz.

I was thinking of combining UE4 Steam-Patreon builds, not UE4-UE5, which is practically impossible. Moreover, the concept of the game has completely changed.


But otherwise I agree...mostly. I also liked UE4 builds, overall the atmosphere, music, lewd story, lewd everything but at the same time quite easy simple gameplay. The aesthetics were pleasant. It is clear that the developers are artists..unfortunately as programmers its much worse. :HideThePain:

The map is already way too big in the UE5 version, and it's filled with stupid amounts of rocks and mountains, as if the devs didn't know how to utilize the available landmass.

Screw cutscenes! In my opinion, they are a thing of the past, as their sole purpose was to present a nice piece of CGI to give the player a break from ugly pixelated images and endless dialogues (in text-based games especially). Nowadays, you can have the same graphics quality in regular gameplay.

You know what would make a perfect game? Imagine a game environment in which you can freely choose the way you interact with any NPC (all of them have to be fuckable). Use mouse to aim for a certain body spot, click to act, and tap the shortcut keys to pick the action, such as: touch, grab, rub, pinch, pat, embrace, kiss, lick, suck, insert, thrust, and so on, in the same way you use combo attacks and special skills in action/RPG and fighting games, just with manual aiming. And the NPC would react accordingly, depending on their mood. Like, you start off by suddenly dickslapping someone right on the forehead, and end up being teabagged by a bunch of angry midgets! :geek:

Agreed to some degree. UE4 version is a bit boring like that in parts too, ways to and from quest objectives lead through vast stretches of basically empty space. And it ain't the only NSFW game I tried in recent months that suffers that same problem.

I also played a ton of Breeders of the Nephelym, and iz the same deal: Waltzing endlessly through empty space until you unlock teleporters, I can only assume devs do this kinda thing to either fill it up later, or to make their game seem grander than it actually is or needs to be; BotN could definitely make do with just half the size of a map.

And then there's the complete opposite, Wicked Island, which I also enjoyed a lot, but that map is just so stock-full of enemies, itz ridiculous - and you turn around after not even half a minute and the bloody beasties already re-spawned! But, when you walk around that map you always find something useful to collect, herbs, ore, fruit whatever.
So the time spent walking to get from A to B isn't a total waste, and the dev really managed to blend the resources in with the landscape. You see em when you search, but they don't jump out at you.

Iffen CI's UE4 version had a little more variety in enemies, little more fleshed out resource/crafting system & better lootz, and a couple spots with random encounters, as you got em in the old Fallout games for example, it would already be a lot more interesting.

Friggin hilarious, imagining that :D! But I honestly don't need that kinda detail whit regards to the sex gameplay.

What would work well enough for me for special MC-NPC interactions would be something like the Subverse "cutscene" anims with a couple position changes and some shmoozy, cuddly dialogue if it's not just a fuckable, but a romancable NPC. Or better yet, like Sensual Adventures gallery scenes, maybe with some more interactive elements. Like change cosmetics or who's on top in a particular scene on-the-fly, while it's playing.
Call me old - but I am perfectly content just watching my 3D smut, I don't wanna have to click around dozens of times or mouse-tickle some animated girl for minutes until I see some squirt or cum on-screen.

For the "casual fornication" with all other "generic" NPCs, something like their "DSS-2" they implemented in the UE5 version (with the triangle instead of a circle), and I'd have a blast.

Just please, in any future CI sex gameplay or cutscene - gimme some better camera angles :mad:!

So, does this game a have story mode or is it just a sandbox to do stuff?
More than a sandbox, but less than a full-fledged storyline. It has a bunch of quests that vaguely relate & connect, but apart from that there isn't much of a story arc yet. Neither in the UE4 version, nor the UE5 one. Just try em both, for of all the UnReal games on this page here, this is by far the most polished one. Iffen you like furry / beasty stuff, you won't be disappointed.
