I see. That has nothing to do with the mod (that particular error). You are loading a very old save that had the "music player" before the dev removed it from the game. I helped another player to resolve that issue with trying to load old saves here. Note that instructions for your case are different than his. For you omit step 1 (this was for a custom file I had him try and doesn't apply in this case).
Because the save you are loading is so old it is highly recommended you start from a new game but the mentioned post will resolve your issue if you don't wish to head that advice. Regards.
P.S. Remember to delete the "SaveFixer" file if you later install the updated mod. They don't play all that well with each other.

I must have grabbed the wrong saves. I switched pc's since last game update and the old pc must have had multiple installs.. not that I have multiple large unorganized folders of VN's on multiple unorganized pc's or anything like that.
Note: Since the dev and I are fighting over the quickmenu the hotkey might have to be toggled twice... but I win this fight... my code dominates it just has to sort out the other bullshit. Just know it's a thing. All other newest SanchoHotKeys work instantly.
One bit for me to sort the post and get the upload links (internet is a bit slow tonight on uploads for me)...

Rewrote the SanchoGallery to include scene filters.
SanchoHotKeys (while in-game only) NEW! In addition to the dialogue box's [Alt+ArrowKeys] adjustments you can now toggle the ChoiceGuide On/Off via the "g" key, the popup SanchoStats screen via the "s" key, the MiniStat via the "m" key, and the QuickMenu via the "q" key. Note that these keys are designated lower-case. Upper-case will still perform the standard RenPy features being render adjustment and screenshot respectively.
I'm certain there's more but can't remember off the top of my head.

I was waiting for this WT to drop before I started playing, I was scared you were over hyping the game, but man I finished the prologue and I'm barely into chapter 1 and its actually a great story with everything. It's hard to find games like these nowadays

Too many story branches got you down 'cause you can't remember which of your saves is which? I gotcha covered. Includes the Original SanchoMod save description feature. Often imitated (including the use of my GUI buttons) the SanchoSave is more intelligent and efficient, saving you keystrokes as it autoloads the save slot descriptions and it also allows you to completely escape the process of saving if you wish (I've personally not seen this feature with other imitations). Feature can be toggled on/off anytime as desired.

I installed the files in the game folder, the mod menus are all showing up as expected, but the choice guide isn't working at all. I'm seeing the default choice buttons of the game. I've tried toggling the guide on and off but nothing changed.
