wats the update Progress ?
This is from the Oct 27, 2023 Dev Log:

This is just a quick update to say that the Chapter 8 beta is coming together nicely, and we're hoping to have it out to testers next week.
Kent and I will review the script from front to back this weekend before clearing the beta for our diligent beta crew.
From this milestone forward, it is usually between one and three weeks to release, and we're going to do our best to get it out in that timeframe.

Cheers!! :coffee:

Why does it take porn developers months to role out an update that might only have 10 minutes worth of extra play time?

Because it's not easy making them, especially the quality ones such as this one. It takes time to render, set up the right lighting for each scene, characters and so on. It also costs money for licences and stuff to prepare. And also they can't rush this since we are getting close to the end of the story so everything has to be planned and set up accordingly.

Updates seem to average about 1700-2000 renders each, not counting animations. If an update takes six months, assume that means the artist created 10-15 unique new images every single day, including weekends and holidays.

While I don't work in DAZ software, I imagine sequential images in an already-composed scene don't take terribly long to pose. Any new location has increased setup time, lighting, scene composition, and asset compilation. After that's done, the images still have to be rendered.

These guys both have full time jobs, so they're doing content creation in their spare time.

Don't take my word for it, though...DAZ is free to download. Teach yourself how to use it and see how long 2000 renders with quality lighting, clothing changes, location variation, and posing takes you. Maybe you'll make a workflow breakthrough that can benefit the whole development community.

Chasing Sunsets updates are always hours long, not 10 minutes.
Tip, dont reply to obvious trolls or purposely ignorant people. Its better to ignore them.

I'm not sure what AVNs you actually play (versus just skipping through content to get to the H-scenes) but your '10 minutes' comment has never applied to any CS release.

This means you are on the wrong thread.

I don't know any game that only adds 10 minutes of playtime in an update.
Then you must skip a lot of games (new ones to) and updates...or don't play very many.

Monthly updated games are like this, even 2-3 month update games are like this...

But, you know, you take these monthly dev's and compare them to 6-12 months dev's the content ends up the same, you get one large chunk vs lots of chunks spread out over 6-12 months.

For "Plan B" I'm going to code the new CriticalPath popup in the pending Redeux mod rewrite. This will change ALL variables correctly to keep the playthrough as pure as possible but it's still considered a cheat so the disclaimers hold true. The entire screen info display is dynamic according to the current playthrough (everything seen listed changes automatically dependent on previous choices). The popup will NOT display if the Player is currently playing with the ChoiceGuide OFF, it's only presented if the guide is ON. I'll sort anything out in Chapter 7 as necessary for the dev team if the above bug isn't resolved. Here's a teaser of the tentative popup:

I've also added SanchoNotes to the guide to reflect the current script coding with warnings and info as required. This info is also obviously dynamic and changes or displayed completely dependent on previous choices, so the below guide info is all relative to the Player being on the "bug" pathing setup:

I ain't gonna lie, this kinda sucks since there's two variants of the VN (steam and non-steam) so I have to do all of this twice... but it is what it is. Back to the grind...
where can I download this game with this mod inside the game? I mean that you didn’t have to download all sorts of folders with mods, then extract them and do something manually to make the mod work, but just download the game with the mods inside the game itself for Android versions

I said something similar to this and people immediately came to the dev's defence here.
But that is normal with this game, not many out there can match the quality, and those updates are hours long at the least..so not sure what the big deal is.

You take the month update devs, or the few months update dev, vs the half year dev or year dev's (minus some genuine milkers) you can pretty much get the same amount of content.

The last update for this game was gigantic, hey it is what it is, people would complain either way it goes.

Actually - you said: Why does it take porn developers months to role out an update that might only have 10 minutes worth of extra play time?

I already pointed out this is untrue for CS in my response to you two days ago.

As for the production time coming in at about 6 months/update - that is true.

But this is very common for large updates from good/great devs.

I don't see BADIK getting 4 updates a year anymore (not sure if it ever did) so this means we just have to find some of the Many other AVNs on F95 to enjoy while we look for other great AVNs/wait for our favorites to get another update.
