Small cameo: maybe. As a future LI: basically zero chance. She (and Mal) already have this game for their main LI role and "happily ever after".anyone knows if they have any plans for jaye in the future?
All the previews look quite sloppy and unpolished. I hope the image quality of the game returns to the very high standards we are used to.And that's a goddamn fact!
So is old Tara model looking 10x better than this one. She looks washed here. The skin and hair color make her look sickly...or kinda like a zombie at the earlier stages of decay. Her features are also far less pronounced in the new model. I mean look at my profile pic. If you can't tell a difference you're blind as a bat.
I mean I like the hair better here but the facial features are a massive downgrade imo.
sorry to bring it up again, but zero chance confirmed? even after their new game and maybe after another one?Small cameo: maybe. As a future LI: basically zero chance. She (and Mal) already have this game for their main LI role and "happily ever after".
Not sure if it's "officially" confirmed or not, but there's not really any place for it to go with Jaye or Mal, unless you just want a super-extended Epilogue. Those aren't as interesting to read or write for many people, however. Stories thrive on character, narrative, and relationship development, and there's very little chance they'd invalidate any of the CS endings where Jaye and/or Mal ends up with the CS MC long-term for a "new" relationship with a different MC. That's how AVN devs get angry mobs with pitchforks screaming "NTR!"sorry to bring it up again, but zero chance confirmed? even after their new game and maybe after another one?
i can't believe you could have a unique character and a gorgeous model to be placed on the shelf like that, it's sad
yeah, unfortunatly i thought so also. Not sure if it's "officially" confirmed or not, but there's not really any place for it to go with Jaye or Mal, unless you just want a super-extended Epilogue. The only reason they're including characters like Tara and Lisa in Firebreak is because there aren't endings in CS where the MC ends up with them long-term. Even those have had very polarized reactions.
They have said they plan to try to import the world state from CS into Firebreak though, so you might see cameos of Jaye or something, and might see your decisions and ending reflected there. She and Mal aren't likely to be a focus though, because all the other new characters need space.
Well, never say never, but it's just shy of being written in stone. Besides, having her as an LI would basically turn the entire plot of CS that Jaye is madly in love with the MC since childhood into meaningless teen drama drivel played out by adults. In other words, ewwwwwwwwwwww...sorry to bring it up again, but zero chance confirmed? even after their new game and maybe after another one?

Well, the reaction is understandable since both future LIs participated in sex scenes with the MC from CS, whether you like it or not, they will be partly associated with the MC from CS and this causes mixed feelings. The only reason they're including characters like Tara and Lisa as main love interests in Firebreak is because there aren't endings in CS where the MC ends up with them long-term. Happy Holidays from Stone Fox Studios!
This represents my last work week of the year, and with no travel planned around Christmas, should give me a few uninterrupted weeks to get some real work done on the game itself. That doesn't mean progress hasn't been made since last weekend.
We're another 70+ images deeper into content, and significant progress has been made on the main menu and save/load screens. Story development has brought us nearly to the inflection point of the initial chapter where things start to coalesce and the plot emerges from the shadows. Hopefully before the first day of 2026, Kent and I will be able to view the story so far in the game's presentation layer as it was meant to be seen. With a healthy amount of dialogue banked to keep Kent's art machine busy, I will turn some dev cycles back into the CS update as well between now and January.
The next few scenes have a Lisa and Bianca focus, and I'm looking forward to making their behavior vary depending on imported variables from Chasing Sunsets.
All in all, while some are settling in for a long winter's nap, Stone Fox's content machine jumps into overdrive. While we'll be busy, there will not be a dev update or character profile until after Christmas as we give our Community Manager time to relax with family. Happy holidays from Kentyrr and Stoya!
We thank you for supporting us through the year and look forward to delivering on that faith in 2026!

Ah F$#%^& I deleted my CS saved games! And I doubt I'm the only one. I hope there's a manual way to specify those behavior at the start of Firebreak. (Hint! Hint!)Firebreak Dev Update #5

Honestly, how insecure about themselves one must be if it causes mixed feelings that a virtual LI had a history with someone else in a different game? I mean, if one thinks about it, that literally, these virtual LI's are having thousands of simultaneously relationships with other players...Well, the reaction is understandable since both future LIs participated in sex scenes with the MC from CS, whether you like it or not, they will be partly associated with the MC from CS and this causes mixed feelings.

That'd be nice for other peeps that have deleted/lost their saves or for seeing alt versions in Firebreak.Ah F$#%^& I deleted my CS saved games! And I doubt I'm the only one. I hope there's a manual way to specify those behavior at the start of Firebreak. (Hint! Hint!)
Well, it all depends on your level of immersion in the game. You can read it like a newspaper, or you can become immersed in the story. People can fantasize and indulge in fantasy, and that doesn't necessarily reflect their level of insecurity.Honestly, how insecure about themselves one must be if it causes mixed feelings that a virtual LI had a history with someone else in a different game? Also, like, the other person they had history with is still you.Honestly, how insecure about themselves one must be if it causes mixed feelings that a virtual LI had a history with someone else in a different game?
