game is nice but giving choice only to rewind once the scene is passed until you take the pass that the dev want is kind of game breaking. If you choose one pass it s sometime because you dont want the other one, what is the point of giving two choice if there is no consequence, make a VN instead it ll be faster.

But this is a Visual Novel already...
About your question, If you pay attention that's the way you unlock scenes in the game, you intentionally "fail" to see the alternate timeline with a sex scene, then the game sets you right back before that choice so you can return to the right path.
If you follow only right choices there would be no sex, and on the other hand if there were only wrong choices the story wouldn't make that much sense (why would the mc be ignoring all of that?).
Since the mc breaks everytime he gets cucked, this gameplay style is a way to keep the mc angry always, he gets cucked "for the first time" every time.
So it is a simple but effective way to show different timelines without having to leave the main one.
