1. music costs money and some free music can't be used in adult games so can't be helped.
- Lack of variety with the music. The same three ambient music scores play on repeat throughout the entire game. Mind you, they are great, but heavily overused. No vocal music at all in the game which is interesting. It's all ambient music scores with little variety.
- Too many of the sex scenes feel forced and lack passion. It's like the author said, "OK, 15 minutes of playtime has gone by so it's time to have a sex scene now." Probably only four sex scenes in the game were immersive, engaging, and passionate IMO. Far too many of the sex scenes didn't feel like they started naturally. It's like, "Want to bang?" "OK, let's do it" - 90% of the time. This results in far too many sex scenes feeling emotionless and disconnected.
- The author subscribes to the false notion that a guy can only cum once and then sex is over. During several sex scenes the MC cums one time and it says that the LI drained his balls. I'm not sure why realism is abandoned here. Guys in their prime who are super fit can cum up to 7 times per day. I know because I did it myself in my early 20s with a horny girlfriend.
- Lackluster/rushed ending
Emh, why didn't you just edit your old review, like a rest of the mortals?I reviewed this game several years ago and played it for the third time, this time with the completed version.
The game didn't quite gain the popularity of games like 'Being a DIK' and 'Eternum' even though I feel it's close to the same level as both of those games (perhaps just a half a notch lower overall).
Things that I noticed that held the game back a bit IMO:
It's still a 5 star game but could be better.

Because the review is so far back in the review list that almost no one will read it. Players will sometimes read the last few pages of reviews but rarely beyond that. I'm not sure why I need to explain this... Trying to join the forum police?Emh, why didn't you just edit your old review, like a rest of the mortals?
1. It can very much be helped. Other authors don't have this issue (lack of variety with the music). It just takes more effort than what the author was willing to do with the music.1. music costs money and some free music can't be used in adult games so can't be helped.
2. wellmc ain't in his 20s.
3. true.
Completely agree with this, never wrote a review (been lazy and shy so far , should start doing them, already "comfortable" enough with this community in general to write some) so no idea if you edit one if bumps to the top or not, if it doesn't it should though.Because the review is so far back in the review list that almost no one will read it. I understand the the author is working on a new project and he has a better chance of seeing my comments on this forum (if he even visits here) than a review buried half a dozen pages back in the list which he has most likely already read.
You’d better forget about Steam. Here is the full game from the developer, based on the Patreon version. Steam only has half of this content. The Steam version will only be complete when the second book is released there, which will include the remaining chapters already available here.Hello everyone, I have a question. In this thread, does the game version match the one on Steam? Does it include only "City of Broken Dreamers: Book One," or is "City of Broken Dreamers: Book Two" also included?
Book 2 will be released on Steam in three days if you want to complete the collection .You’d better forget about Steam. Here is the full game from the developer, based on the Patreon version.
