Just another crazy idea but what if Victoria=Stella and Redmoon=Dragon...
Well, in my opinion, Victoria is one of the main and most important gals of the game... if Philly choose to kill her(just like he killed Stella), that will be so boring cicle repeating and will broke entirely the plot fever. Will make no sense to kill a heavy important character in the game like Victoria.

I don't mean the characters. I meant who did what to whom.
I don't know. There is already parallel between RedMoon and Dragon. He was soldier of his country, whcih got destroyed, and now he is a mercenary without heart... but he did save Ellen, which means he has more heart than Dragon. But, I still don't think this MC wants him as sex slave. :p
Jokes aside, I don't think Victoria will die. (Even more, I hope so, she and Doctor are most attractive girls to me, so I am far from impartial)...
Also, when we compare Victoria and Stella there are similarities (besides being hot redheads), but there are significant differences. Stella was somebody whom Jake I had to save, Victoria is more like antagonist whom Jake II seduced, despite she was sent to seduce him...
In the end, Gloria has the same role in COBD as Stella had in DA.

The game version number doesn't update on the title screen is that normal?

Nevermind I had to delete the entire game and then extract it again it seems fine now.

If we make parallels with DA then depending on her path, Victoria shares more similarities with Kira or Christina. Well, one of them could die but it was easily avoidable so I also don't think Victoria is gonna die

There aren't any carbon copies from DA in this game (Aside from the Carly VR bit.). Some themes, tropes or archetypes may overlap to an extent but do you guy really think Philly needs to reuse characters for his stories? Have you not been paying attention to any of his writing? This isn't your average porn game.

If you look at two of the most popular devs in the VN space, Philly and Pink, you will see that neither are looking towards "sequels" of their works.

While their creative juices are flowing, they prefer to create new games in new environments with new characters. As long as they have more ideas, expect this trend to continue.

Are there some cameo shots in CoBD from DA? Yep. Were some CoBD models tested in DA? Yep. Are there homages, such as Sonja's gun names? Yep.

That's a far cry from repeating storylines or "doing what came before". It's unlikely these devs will travel those paths again, certainly not in consecutive games, so that area of speculation will probably not yield revelations.

And, that should be exciting to all of us, because it means we can't predict what will happen. Will someone die just because someone did in a previous game? No. But someone may die because it fits the story that the dev (both, in this example) has already mapped out.

Ok so it seems most of you missed my point because I was really unclear. My apologies, and let me try again.

I didn't mean that the characters are the literally each other.

I didn't mean the background stories of the characters.

I didn't mean each character's place in the story.

What I meant was, what if Redmoon ends up killing Victoria at some point in the story? (Maybe as part of the climax of the whole story?)

Ok. I was first to answer, and my answers were semi-joking. Every story is different, even when tell more or less same narative (eg versions, Puss in Boots, or Cinderella). But, of course, in some genre there were always common places.

Wouldn't that be, at least partially same place in story?
Stella was love interest who got murdered, same as Victoria?
Anyway, I don't really think Victoria will die. On other hand, we can see some sort of redemption arc for Red Moon. Remember, despite being cold blood mercenary, he shows signs of humanity...

My point is whether Victoria will die by Redmoon's hands, not whether a love interest will be murdered by an enemy. So yes, I didn't mean each character's place in the story. That's irrelevant to what I was thinking.

Is that clearer?

Oh how I regret even alluding to DA with my idea now...

Why are you so argumentative?
Anyway, when I say place in the story, I have in mind this: It's a place which certain character has in narrative. Ok?
Gloria Connor has a central place in story of COBD, as protagonist of the game gets involved in power struggle between corporations which wish to use her super-natural powers for self benefit.
Similarly, Stela has a central place in story of DA, as protagonist gets involved in case of murder of her husband...
I hope you can see, Gloria and Stella take similar place in narrative.

Do I suggest that Gloria will be dead? Not. I wouldn't expect it, as it would be bit repeatative.
When you said place in story, you were taking about role of murder of a victim, not about relationship between character and protagonist. Ok? But as you can see neither was I talking about it.

In short, I don't think Victoria has same place in COBD narrative as Stela had in DA.

It gets frustrating when someone keeps taking my thought in an opposite direction than what I had intended. My point was whether Redmoon would end up killing Victoria. All these analysis of place in story is irrelevant to what I was thinking. Like I said, I regret even alluding to DA, but you keep dragging this back in that direction. All I'm trying to do is clarify my point. If you find that argumentative then too bad.

Well we know that Philly isn't afraid to kill of a character if that's what his story demands. But we're already past the half point so killing of a main love interest now would be a bit strange. Maybe if you don't get her on your side or make some wrong decisions. But I think at this point anyone you pursue is probably safe.

From a story point of view Redmoon doesn't have any beef with Vicky. She here to get money for her situation back in Japan and to get revenge on an augment from the war. To put them at odds one need to betray their employer and there needs to be a confrontation. Vicky isn't straight up augmented for combat though so I doubt she would want a fight anyway and will probably try to get away. So no I don't think Redmoon will kill Vicky.

I do not about you guys, but I think that OST would be perfect as main menu theme of the game.
