I personally don't find Venus attractive - I mean I don't mind her proportions, but I don't like the shiny skin which appears sweaty / clammy / wet to me, and I don't find the face or hair attractive either. Plus she's a robot, which isn't my thing, either.
Is this female form an artifact of this game engine that's too hard to... edit? Or are these female forms really popular?
Asking as someone new to this genre of games.
For my two cents, I don't see the appeal.
So ya I personally opt out of all Venus scenes in the game.

Female forms, figures, formats, I'm approaching it from a technical aspect because this may be a game engine design limitation that these game creators have to work with. I've read some smatterings here and there in this forum that custom edits of some of the females is hard work.
But then again, these comically exaggerated female dimensions are also used a lot in 2d comics, etc. I'm curious if some people just assume this works because others have been doing it, or if there's like an actual demand for it.

Venus is a sex-droid, a machine created to fulfill the sexual fantasies of whoever purchases her. As such, she is extra-sexualized in all her body parts and makeup. *sigh* I know she's a sex bot. But she's not the only female figure like this in the game, the exaggerated figures are all over the place in this genre of games. Hence the broad nature of my question. And this figure is not "extra-sensualized" it's comical, for my tastes. Also hence the broad nature of my question.

Like you said, it's not exclusive to Ren'Py and porn games. Many ( I would even say most ) Hentai and Doujinshi tend to portray exaggerated figures with oversized boobs and hips. Not my taste either but the trend clearly has a substantial amount of fans. As for Venus, that's the point of the character. She's meant to fulfill a fantasy in a comical tone.

You didn't ask a generalized question, you asked about Venus. As you've been told, Venus is purposely exaggerated to appeal to those who like lots of curves, nothing to do with technical issues. As evidenced by the other women in this game who are not Rubenesque.
Then you answered your underlying question - it's a matter of taste. Some people like voluptuous, some like petite. This game covers most of the spectrum (no outright twigs afaik), so it's a mystery why you'd choose to raise the question in this case?

Of course I asked a generalized question, you even quoted me doing so. I'll repeat, I'm wondering if it's an assumption by some that this over-exaggerated form is desired. It *can* be an assumption, and a false one. I've seen a lot of people complain about the comical forms, I haven't really seen anyone *ask* specifically for these comical fantasy figures. So I'm curious if this is just a trend build on an assumption, or not. I'm also curious as to what anyone would see in these hyper-curved forms, why they would prefer them or desire them.
So you see, it's not really a mystery.
If you continue to see it as a mystery, we can just simply agree to disagree and leave that there.

Yeah I'm wondering if that's really a fan request. Would hentai comics, etc., really take a hit if they suddenly stopped drawing these types of forms and drew them more realistically? The answer may be yes, it's just something I'm curious about.

Given the skill displayed by Philly I'd say it's fair to assume the way Venus looks is intentional. Maybe to have a slight dip into the uncanny valley since she's a (sex-)bot? But then there was that one back at the party which was a lot more inconspicuous in this regard. We'd need to hear it from the man himself what the intend behind the design is.

yes it's somewhat/quite popular, some/many like females who have very big tits, pornindustry has actresses whose boobs are so big that they hang below belly (if natural) and meet and fuck games (available at f95) made it to extreme since most of titties in those games make venus boobs look "normal" and there are many games posted to f95 where boobs are somewhere between venus and meet and fuck boobs. basically there is no upper limit on size of boobies on games.
as of why can be speculated but this isn't proper thread nor platform for that.

Nah, don't worry about that. You run the risk of your posts disappearing pretty much all the time even if talking about something related to the game or its dev. The funnier the post, the bigger the risk.
It takes months for an update. He's close to releasing the next one.
Yes, there is... this is one of the best, if not the best game on F95, and it takes time to dev a game of this caliber. Don't worry, the updates are worth waiting for, and Philly (the dev) never disappointed his fans. You can use a soft called UnRen to extract the renders and animations so that you can see if the dev put some hard work into making the game or he was slacking off like IC... other "busier" devs.

That's the reason why I care enough about to ask, DA is still one of the few games I never deleted off my pc after all these years. and baDICK is also one that seem like a lot of work go into it. Thanks for the info.
