Guys what do you think, would an adoption of animated kissing and hugging scenes help enrich the game cinematic and erotic value, help make the game better?

To implement this Philly needs to reveal Jake's face, not for the sake of his face revelation of course, but only with a purpose to enable animated kissing and hugging. In addition, it gives more freedom in choosing a camera angle for renders. For instance, close eye contact renders would be possible.

Honestly, I hate never showing the protagonists face. Unless the game is 100% POV (which has its own set of problems), there's just no way to frame shots that doesn't eventually call attention to the fact the MC's face is being omitted; we're just too hardwired to look at faces not to notice. It feels painfully artificial, IMHO. So yes, I'd happily trade that for the chance to show proper kissing scenes in a vacuum.

That said, we're 9 chapters into the game and the faceless protagonist trope has been pretty firmly established. I don't think there's much to be gained in changing the setup at this point; people like me who dislike it have already made our peace with it, people like Mark Takagi who love it would rightly feel annoyed to change it.

Better kissing scenes would be welcome, but CoBD has already demonstrated it can convey emotional attachment (and even kissing) without showing the MC's face. So don't fix what ain't broke. I'd say better to stay the course and make any such stylistic changes in the next game.

100% agree here. Why change or "fix" what's not broken? Why switch the formula now when we're only what? 5 chapters away from the end? Leave it be. And if Philly wants to do that for his next game, then that's fine with me.

Also I like the faceless protag better, feels like an actual pov game. It would be even more cool if ever character icons are ever implemented in the ui, the ghost mask with the glowing yellow eyes is a badass representation of a our protagonist.

Ok so I have been looking a comments about different paths and its still jumbled in my head for this one. What I mean is I am unclear if the depraved trait is significant in any meaningful way. Say is a Depraved + Katie + Lust vs, Normal + Katie + Points path very different?

Also I have looked at walkthroughs for this one, which I never do, and they all seem to follow every LI at the same time. Is that the way this was intended to be played?

I couldn't answer this at all since I never ever get a dep point in the game. I wouldn't dare have a high dep when I'm involved with Katie, because the dep to me, is temperament and behavior. Would Katie really tolerate that like Shanlon or Meredith would? Katie didn't take any shit from Henry when they first met, but I would not want to see a Katie/MC relationship with the dep factor involved. Probably would get very ugly.

All of my runs have a 7/7 score with Katie. And most of the lust points don't come around until the big sex scene at Stairway to Heaven.

I know with a high dep, the MC curses more, has a short temper, and I know Shanlon loves it when he becomes a total degenerate. I don't think Katie would tolerate that but I don't know I would never do that route, especially with her. I know in the taxi, with a high dep, the MC talks back to the AI driver and curses a lot.

I couldn't tell you anything clear about what would happen. Don't know if anyone has done a dep Katie, Lust route before. IF they do, they'll chime in hopefully

This has been on my back log for quite a while now, I should have started it earlier, and I'm at a 5\8 with Katie and I already feel bad about starting the other paths for replays.

I guess maybe I will save the depraved for my last play through which will most likely be the man-whore route.

I think the dep is much more well suited for the man-whore route, or what I'd like to call the "walking STD" run. Katie (next to Gloria probably) is the most wholesome girl in this game. I have no idea what a decent/high dep and a mean temperament score would do to her personality. I'm curious, but not curious enough to actually do it because I don't want to see how it would turn out.

It looks like, through choices, the dep dialogue only shows up with Shanlon, Meredith and I *think* once or twice with Sonja. But they're polar opposites of our sweet Katie.

So far, there's no notable difference with Katie, Ellen, Chandra or Gloria. Only the love and lust points really matter. On the other hand, you need depravity points to unlock some options with Shanlon, Teri or Venus during sex scenes. (for example you need at least 2 dep points to choke Shanlon or punish Teri).

As for Victoria, dep points are require for the knock and spellbound options. The Mc can also force himself in harder during the blowbjob if he has at least 1 dep point.

Also I have looked at walkthroughs for this one, which I never do, and they all seem to follow every LI at the same time. Is that the way this was intended to be played?

It's a matter of perspective. There's no consequence so far. Personally, I don't play porn games full of hot women to remain faithful.

Now for the game I am staying pretty consistent as of late. we got 85 new renders done bringing the count to 535 renders, along with that we have 6 new animations done bringing that up to 33 animations. Then also add another scene written with some touch ups on others.
This week I do want to do a bit extra writing so the render count may not be as high but we will see.
Also fun thing in the render above, one of those bellies is from DA

Hhhmm if one of those bellies is from Depraved, I'm thinking it's Kira or Christina. Kira was pale, so was Christina. Mi-do was in pretty good shape. We've already seen Carli and the Dragon, plus Mrs. Turner in The Pit. That leaves the aforementioned girls plus Judy.

And since Sonja is there, maybe it's either Judy or Christina, since she has guns named after the both of them.

Philly gave you the main numbers himself, so all I need to do is chart it. That, and mention he's now averaging 76.4 static renders and 4.7 animations per week, both slightly up from last week.

Things could easily change of course, but as of right now we're pretty solidly on pace to have a complete episode's worth of renders by the end of July. Here's hoping we can keep it up.

Interesting picture. Definitely suggests the trio will be doing more than just bushwacking that robot. It seems like an extremely poor idea to take Gloria out in public given the situation, but I suppose that's why I'm an aging gamer and not an elite ghost. As long as we can avoid yet another meaningless sexual encounter with those bellies I'll be happy.

Probably August/September, maybe a tad later(?), depends on pace, how much Philly gets done, and life in general. Don't expect it any sooner than that.
