Serves me right for downloading the game and giving it a shot without reading anything.
Baited by the pictures only to go through over an hour of gameplay without a single CG, then I come here and see this shit. Isn't this basically a subscription fee? Is this the WoW of porn games? I won't bother putting another second in without CGs in the free version.
I sometimes like to support games, but this method of baiting and locking content behind monthly payment is WAY too scummy (Even by the standards of a website full of pirates) for me to even consider backing this game or even looking at it. Though, I will likely check this thread every couple of months to see if it has been changed.

Its text based you nonce, the main appeal is the writing not the CG. Who cares about CG in these types of games anyway.
The problem is that literally all of the sample images show CGs, including half of them which are nothing *but* CGs. If this was advertised as an entirely text-based game that would be fine, but those sample images are a problem. Normally that kind of thing would be against the rules, but the dev said something along the lines of "I might add them to the free version as a Patreon milestone" and the mods let it pass under a "future content" technicality. Unfortunately, that was a long time ago (I think over a year?) and there's still no indication of if they'll ever be available in the free version or what conditions would have to be met before they are, so it being shown in all the images is an issue.
Anyway, the entire reason those things are restricted to a Patron-only version is because they *are* a big deal for some people, otherwise they wouldn't even exist. While I do think there's an irony to using a particularly entitled tone and calling someone "scummy" on a pirate site, it's even more ridiculous to call someone a "nonce" for caring about whether a heavily advertised feature is present or not.

It says "text-based" and "RPG" in the tags and your investment in trying it out is 0 money and 35MB of drive space. It seems absurd to me write out a rant as if the dev picked your pockets and busted your kneecaps.
Since CG is expensive to commission and artists usually have quite the backlog there's probably only a handful of them in the Patreon release anyways so I'm sure people like Biggie would still be upset even if they had access to the backer version.
There are 118 CGs before accounting for breast and cock variations. Also the mods didn't let it pass on a technicality, they said it was fine. If that's changed then they can feel free to remove the preview images. Also re: a long time; the game has been out for a total of 1 year 4 months and CGs were in there since the beginning.
For what it's worth, I've made negative $3k on this game, lol. Literally only made it with my friends for fun, and to learn React. How about we just agree that we're all pretty scummy tbh.

You literally just said the MAIN appeal is the writing, there's more than one way to appeal to someone in a game, maybe consider that before you go around flinging insults like a baby. I have played multiple text-based games and was drawn to Cloud10 purely because I thought having CGs to complement the writing was a good idea as it helps put certain character appearances into perspective, especially ones that are normally difficult to imagine. I think the game is good, I just don't like the practice of it being locked behind a Patreon subscription wall.
Lmao I didn't realize I sounded so entitled, was just taken by surprise cause I've never seen a game ask me to log onto Patreon before. Sorry.
Honestly neither have I. It's mostly just so the game knows where to put your cloud saves, since you can't really stop pirating that way.

Oh I see, it's a pretty good game, though. I quite like that you bothered to add BGM, the fact you're still operating on a loss is pretty sad considering the quality. I may not agree with some things but I still hope it turns profitable.

Looking a bit further back by a few months, it seems like the 30-50 patrons there were the anomaly. Project jumps up by about that number with no jump in revenue to go with it, then jumps back down, with only a minor dip in revenue. Otherwise they seem pretty standard. I'd assume it's misreport on Patreon's end. It does look like they have an Annual membership option now, which I haven't seen before - I assume that's new and could be causing some sort of misreporting (or double-reporting if that was 30-50 people switching to Yearly).
