Yes, I've progressed Megan to the sex stage. But I can't get midnight action beyond the Goodnight Kiss favor. So I'm wondering if I need to advance that chain further.

I seem to be stuck as well.

You don't have to. The BP pills are automatic whenever you use the aphrodisiacs in the morning.
