Am I reading more into this....It seems like the race of the mc is changing. in the beginning, he was white, but now he is almost black. Did I miss something?

I think the world of Elysium has particularly high UV levels in it's Sun's radiation, and without Mommy Lana to remind him to put on the sunscreen because he's out there CHASING THOSE FLOOZIES, he is just tanning really quickly.

Hello everyone! The beta version of the next update is here!

This beta will run slightly longer than usual as the update is relatively large with a lot of code changes.
Changelog:
-749 renders
-Codex Rework
-UI Rework
-Camera effect
-Chapter 2 is now complete!

The Codex has been reworked, most of that is the code underneath. There is an invisible script that will run once the new content begins when you continue your save. So if you are not starting a fresh save, fret not. The Codex should unlock itself and all its appropriate entries then. Otherwise, a fresh start should work as intended with the entries unlocking gradually and at appropriate moments.

Due to changes done to the game, the Scene Replay unlocks are not backward compatible. There is an "Unlock Everything" option added to the scene replay.

There is a new camera parallax effect added to the game. This is the initial release. I have plans for further expansion to its features and usage. If you find it nauseous or irradiating, feel free to turn it off in the preference screen.

If you find any typos, please report them to the Discord Beta channel. It will really help improve the quality of the full release.

Thank you for your support! I hope this update lives up to your expectations and then some!

Kind of good game. My two caveats:

1. Tonal whiplash by the game starting as cynic depressing spy drama with betrayals and murders VS it ending up as a harem game, so all love interests are expected to end up harmless.

2. 2 years for two chapters implies a very slow development, developer doesn't need to rush and can focus on wallpapers and tiny updates. May as well return in 5 years when its half done.

That you have this expectation is understandable but also quite sad. There is no reason at all not to have backstabbing and betrayal in a harem. Often developers think only a state in which everyone is content and happy is proper harem. But imho that's a lack of creativity rather than a rule of nature.

The definition of harem is that all participants know and accept each other. If they are enemies/rivals fighting for the harem makers affection, it isn't a harem and the harem maker is cheating on all of them.

Your ideal of a harem of rivals sounds like wanting to have the cake and eating it as well. You either have a conniving story with the girls betraying each other and the MC or you have your happy end with all of them putting their disputes aside (because rather than being horrible persons, they were all just tragically misunderstood and abused by the actual villains anyways).

I'm fairly sure that all REAL harems in history were fueled by constant infighting and/or competition. For the simple reason that the harem builder and his/her time and energy are scarce resources, so fighting for attention and affection is not avoidable. It's just that we have this very specific and pornographic idea of a harem. Also, I don't think it makes a lot of sense to talk about "ideal" harems, as this can be something different for everyone else. There might even be men or women who'd enjoy infighting and backstabbing to some degree. Like some people enjoy a competitive environment in companies, because it makes everyone work harder.

So, in short, I think your definition is very narrow. But that's okay, I just explained why I think it's a bit more than that. I also believe that my broader definition makes for more compelling storytelling. But each to their own.

Did you know that the CIA once recruited one of Fidel Castro's girlfriends to assassinate him but she ended up telling him about it after he gave her some good dick because she was still in love with him? :KEK:
