Heh it's hilarious how most of this thread is filled with incessant whining. Really cracks me up :p I'll quote something that is going to undoubtedly fly right over the head of the sad haters, but will be mainly for ttll's benefit if he decides to stick his head in here;

Could it be that the message flew right over your head too since you're not the one in the arena facing the music? Perhaps you have forgotten that you're on the sideline yourself. Cheer as much as you want, but don't come in here pretending you know what's happening behind closed doors more than others do.

If you read the post more carefully you'd notice I never said I did ;) It's the people crying "ttll is like Gumdrop a pure scammer", that claim to know what's happening. And since they don't acknowledge the key factual difference of paused Patreon for several months...it's erroneous and incredibly self-conceited

True Churchill would have never used the quote you wrote to describe the haters here. Real criticism is valuable insight that you provide to the receiver, with the goal of improving a part of their life. Slandering someone as a con (when the evidence disproves the notion) or constant badgering of "you're taking too long", only provide mental anguish for the recipient. Most importantly where the motivation behind the comments is to make the hater feel better about their inadequacies by bringing others down. Definitely unlike true criticism, where the goal is to lift someone up by showing where and how they can improve. This is also why well-intentioned criticism is very descriptive and specific.

Lol the "Man in the Arena" was defo not out of context. As a matter of fact this thread desperately needed this quote to provide much needed context :) It should be used a lot more often to remind people in this cynical modern world of outrage mobs that you shouldn't listen to haters and bend to their will and allow them to bring you down. Obviously with the key differentiation between them and genuine criticism I laid out above.

Well I was having an argument a short bit ago about about blame and criticism leading to positive results, this exact quote would have been beneficial for that. So I should refine that to, it would have been a useful quote in a recent argument to prove my point.

It's because the patrons of Come Inside are the more 'educated' type. This VN is more than just fap material as Xumeey rightly keeps pointing out. Fapping to CI is like fapping to 'Venus rising from the sea' (Titian) or 'The birth of Venus' (Botticelli) and the script is worthy of any Nabokov/Salinger. This is Art. We must let it take its natural course, even accept to watch it fail, all for art's sake. I believe that even those who just want a quick fap and/or keep complaining know deep down that CI is a potential masterpiece and will still be played when the Milfy Cities and BADIKs are long forgotten. Just like LWT WGW.
