That is a very interesting question. And despite me being the one writing the MC's character, how they come across and the idea I have of them in my mind are likely to be very different.Just a quick question, what is the MC's character like? Submissive, dominate, a dark corruptor or a goody-two-shoes??
I don't mind spoilers.
The MC isn't an evil character. They don't really seek to corrupt or dominate, their end goal isn't to exert power, and despite the MC's superpower giving them an edge, they don't necessarily take much in the way of selfish actions.
But I equally don't see the MC as some kind of saint. They're not submissive; they won't roll over and accept if somebody else has the upper hand. They do help the other characters with their own issues, and their feelings for others are genuine, but the MC has his own willpower, and knows that he is often the one in control.

So far I haven't put much deep thought behind the MC's character, and your particular question leads me to think a lot more about what I've written so far and what I'll be writing in the future. Characters and narrative are driven by conflict, both internal and external, and stories work best by seeing how these characters resolve conflict.
I see the MC as an everyman: shit happens and he just deals with it. He may lean on the side of helping people, but he's not wholly against negative actions. I like to think most of the characters in my story (the main and side characters that is) are more than just their two-dimensional archetypes. If I fail at that then the story is just the same as a dozen others out there.
This was probably a longer answer than you needed or expected, and I'd be most interesting to see the perspective of those who are playing the game, rather than my perspective as a writer.
