Here's my path (maybe not the best, but it works).

Carry Extra Employee Guides folders to Compliance and forget about Candace for now.

Do your Corporate values onboarding program at HR with Jada as early as you can to get it out of the way, then return once you have more Power to do your Manager training (Personal Development Plan starts with Susan). Week two should almost be over.

Work Britney and Jill first. (What are you Reading? then complain to Deborah about Reception for a head-start) Control then Break them. Once you've done everything you can will Jill, sell her to Selecta for 5k (do not send her to her BF).

Institute IT Audit, etc with Susan. Use money to buy suits & jewellery, you want to get your power up.

Go to town on Ann. Either Hornicol or go to to Max's and gain blackmail inifo on her. Snipe the easy points with Deborah, but don't focus on her. Grind down Susan as available. Increasing sales quotas helps grind down Ann, closing the Titan Defense contract helps. Don't take the poison pill for Susan option. Waste a week punishing Ann to get her from Controlled to Broken -- time means nothing here.

Take over the Internship and grind down Amanda. Keep her around for now, she and Ann will be handy Ego generating fuck-muppets, much better than Britney.

Take the introduction to Tracey in Planning.

Without any outside interference you should be able to get Susan down to 11 to 9 points. Then make cookies. Then talk to her about her management style and her posters. She'll be at 0 Ego now.

Go to Tracey and she should give you control of CSG now. Return and break the bad news to Susan. It should be mid-October.
I gotta be missing something here...with only the cookies option left, Susan is at 39 Ambition, which keeps me from the Titan account, internship, etc. But Brittney, Jill, and Ann don't have anything that causes her ambition to go down further.

If I do cookies, it lets me take over internship, etc, but that plus the posters and management style only get me to 27. So there has to be something missing here. That said, I tried the poison pill option, just to test, and while it gets her down to 0 ambition, nothing triggers with Tracey to take over consulting.

Thanks for the detailed write up though, I feel like its the correct steps, but I'm just missing something obvious. I did cheat money and ego, but thats it.

I think I found the source of the bug in my previous runs. Brittany also has an option to look into Deborah's big project, but her option won't unlock Deborah's Presentation option; Amanda's Pass-Fail will unlock it. However, doing Brittany's option will remove the pass-fail option, so if you select it, you soft-lock yourself from finishing Consulting.

Thank you so much for the detailed write up, made it much easier to progress and find the actual issue. Hopefully the devs see this and fix it in future releases.

You may want to report it to them on their discord or forums. A new version with some fixes is being pushed out soon.

i feel like the game is broken when it can be so easily soft locked and be made to be unable to progress just because you unlocked somethin early..

It'd be nice if the game would warn you that you're about to do something stupid.

There also should probably be a massive overhaul in how ego is balanced. And the money.

That was literally me playing-and-typing. The following is recollection, so I apologize if I get something wrong.

Grind Tracey in Planning for a bit. You won't close that yet. After Tracey intros almost everyone (not Research, you get that from Tech) grind Lisa Merchant in Purchasing. I don't think you can take Purchasing yet, but she's a debuff machine.

Compliance and HR are a good target, next. Candace helps with HR, and opens Dierdre. You can Control her, but try not to bone Dierdre, it's costly. You can't take Compliance yet, but 0 Ambition-ize Candace.

(So far you just have CSG and HR).

Legal is next. You need Legal and HR in the bag to close Planning. Once you have Planning you can take Compliance (and Purchasing iirc--you may be able to close Purchasing early, do so if you can).

Legal opens the Metropolitan, which can help control Jada (the District Attorney) and is necessary to take over International. Take International.

I like to delay appointing van Engen to HR, but I'm fond of Jada, who you lose to van Engen. But by this point you should hire him to head HR.

The Metro also lays Tech and Research open for you. Grab them. Hire the CTO.

Sales then Marketing is next (but visit Finance as well. Indira in Tech is the secret to getting Noriko under your control).

If you're having trouble with Sales, Finance, Marketing, or the CEO don't forget dinner at Pomeroy's. It's 50/50, but you can grind some ambition there.

Hire the CRO in Sales.

There may be a way to keep Amanda (?) in Marketing as a pet, but I can't figure it out and always end up letting her go.

Now Finance has to go (although I have messed that up and still 'won' the game). Hire the CFO.

Get rid of Stephanie (?) in Operations.

If you haven't sent Ann to the Dollhouse, do that. (Your CRO starts the Dollhouse).

Now you should be positioned to take down Jennifer Page.

Do you know what the end game for Susan is supposed to be? Does she have to be lesbian? I currently just have her at the pussypillows strip club and with the next step, she just leaves the game

I know that her end in the Corporate Raider games (old version of the same story) was different, and I don't recall her ending in the Company Man serialization.

If you don't send her to Lexi (Alexis at that point) then Lexi won't run your Secretary Pool for you, which makes breaking Katherine Jones harder.

There is a bug in play, as you probably bought those Artemis shares off of Susan after she was controlled. So she shouldn't be able to flip you off, make it rich, and disappear. So not letting her talk to you for a minute means she stays at the Strip Club.

I tend to treat it like the Deborah booby-traps. Never click on Debbie at the airport, car dealership, never invite her to lunch--it makes it harder to win, not easier.

There is so much potential in this game....I'd love to do a hardcore edit of the game's logic to make it smoother. Such that grinding isn't necessary. Also such that you can't unintentionally lock yourself out of winning just for being curious.

IE: if it makes an area impossible to win later, just not include that option. Might do some IF THEN writing to maybe give to a programmer one day. And a bored 3D modeler, if I can find someone. That way choices about how their hair/body looks are reflected more in game.

so I own Planning, Purchasing and Legal, but to continue i need to own Consulting. Problem is I dont have any more options with anyone at consulting. is there something I can edit in the save to change consulting to 'controlled' ?

What's Susan's Ambition at?

If Susan's Ambition is at 0, Tracey in Planning should let you take over the CSG. I posted steps above on how to get Susan to 0 Ambition, but editing her Amb to 0 should do the trick (I haven't tried that, mind you).

How does one get Katherine Jones, every time I ask about interview her I get rejected?
The first time it pops up in Debbie's options (I don't recall if it's 40 Ambition or 40 Pride after she's your Secretary, never before) Debbie puts her foot down and refuses.

Wait until you have the Secretary Pool open. When Deborah is 0/0 ask to interview Katherine again. Pretty sure you need the CTO in place, and AGATHA up and running.

Katherine will end up in the Sec Pool. Although she's feisty, in game-play terms she breaks much faster than Deborah.

What's Susan's Ambition at?

If Susan's Ambition is at 0, Tracey in Planning should let you take over the CSG. I posted steps above on how to get Susan to 0 Ambition, but editing her Amb to 0 should do the trick (I haven't tried that, mind you).
Susan is 0 Ambition, only option I have though is plant spycam. hence why I was wonder if there is something in the save file I could edit to set Consulting to owned

It's Tracey in Planning who gives you control of CSG once Susan is at 0 Ambition. (If that's a variable in the save file, then maybe, I haven't tried editing the save file).
