Kudos to you for recognizing that there is something inherently sexy about a woman's feet. For example, I never get erotic photo shoots or porn where the girl takes everything off but her shoes. Like, seriously who wears high heels to bed or in the bathtub? That's not going anywhere fam. I've said this before also going back to the foot stuff for a moment, but I love how expressive feet are during sex. How they tend to curl and stuff like that during an orgasm. That's why you'll almost always see a woman's feet in view in any sex scene I create. I won't have the MC comment on it cause another thing I don't like in games is when an MC tends to constantly have internal dialogue about their fetishes, but I do love showing off a girl's feet in my sex scenes. Ayana's blowjob at the end of this update for example. One of my favorite sex scenes I've ever created. A passionate blowjob face. Puckered lips and kicking her legs back & forth. I absolutely love that scene.
This is actually what I really, really want to clear up, because most are under the impression that Ayana did this all without the MC's consent and that is definitely my own fault for not making it clear.I definitely understand that concept, I guess I just don't like the idea that she feels that the MC is an optional part of her life. She can cut contact with him completely for months, upon the request of some new guy, and then walk back into his life without any repercussions; they don't have a conversation about what aspect of their life will resume, or about earning back trust (at least from a player's perspective). Obviously we've not seen or heard much about the MC's past relationships so we don't know how he handles their arrangement but it really does feel like he is on her hook and not vice versa.
Would you consider, once the game is finished, going back and tweaking decisions and options or when you are done with a story would you leave it as written? More of a broader question than just about this one instance. I am curious if, once all of the content is added into the game, you'd change something for narrative purposes.
Oh and personally I don't need a sex scene in an update if, instead, I get a well developed story and deeper character development. I am sure I am alone in that but I felt like it needed to be said. I've played much longer games that are sparse on porn but strong on writing.
I Actually Enjoy BOTH ways... I do. What we mostly work on finding are spelling errors and things of that nature not really the context of story, but to be fair to them, the game was released prematurely in my view due to certain outside conditions that had nothing to do with the game itself and I never went back to correct the mistakes.Just speaking for myself again. One man, one vote and all that.
I got the gist of all the relevant information. While I said earlier that it might be possible to trim some of the internal dialogue, I can't point at specific examples. I'm curious to know, do you work with editors/proofreaders by any chance? Not offering, I have zero expertise in what goes into the making of these games. Most people's critisism seems to concentrate on the relationship between Anyana and MC. So I agree if there's an aspect that might need work it's there. There seem to be a couple of sides to the argument.
-A friendzoned and uses MC for sex.
-MC friendzoned and is content to be used by A for sex. And yeah, while rarer, guys can friendzone girls as well.
-A and MC are in a mutually satisfying Best Friend relation with added benefits
-One or both A and MC are in denial about their true feelings.
On the other hand, is it really a negative to leave the story/A and MC's relation as ambiguous as it is? Unless you already have the story planned out with little to no room for deviations, I'd say that leaving it open for now leaves the door open for a deeper/richer story down the line, and not spelling everything out in chapter 1 might actually be an enhancement not a detriment?
Well, I look forward to reading the Patreon Post in future and also to replaying the game. I really do want to understand their relationship better because I like Ayana's personality overall, I like their dynamic, and her render is great. However, I also feel that the relationship, as currently shown to us, seems very much as if she is in control and he is passive up to the final scene at the studio. I actually found the scene distasteful because 1) I felt like he was being used and manipulated by her to an extent, which I am sure wasn't your intention at all; and 2) doing that in the shower of your family friend's studio with her full knowledge (and within earshot) is disrespectful in my mind. This is actually what I really, really want to clear up, because most are under the impression that Ayana did this all without the MC's consent and that is definitely my own fault for not making it clear.
I'm making a public Patreon post right now discussing a possible revamp of the game while it's still young and fixable because the story can definitely use more polish. But when I say revamp, I don't want to change anything about the game itself. I just want to update specifically Chapter 1 with the updated models and rewrite the chapters with a more consistent narrative, because Chapter 1 kinda jumps all over the place and I'm not a fan of it.
I want to shed some fat, keep the essentials, and add things that weren't present before. Primarily concerning the relationship between the MC and Ayana, because chapter 1's info dump before Ayana's shower did nobody any favors.
Definitely disrespectful lol. Claire says so in the game herself, but teens will be teens. In my view, any kind of public sex can be a little disrespectful depending on the conditions but in MC and Ayana's case, they're sort of used to it. They've done far more disrespectful stuff.doing that in the shower of your family friend's studio with her full knowledge (and within earshot) is disrespectful in my mind.
In that case I think your main body of touch up work would be clearing up any confusion on the MC's part? It works fine for me but I can't speak for everybody. And the same can be said for Anyana, who works fine for me. More than fine...I do. What we mostly work on finding are spelling errors and things of that nature not really the context of story, but to be fair to them, the game was released prematurely in my view due to certain outside conditions that had nothing to do with the game itself and I never went back to correct the mistakes.
Thing is, I want people to understand where the MC is coming from. The general argument here is due to people just kinda guessing the MC's point of view of the situation. I believe in order to understand their relationship, you have to understand the MC and his involvement in things and some, like yourself have seemingly managed to grasp an understanding.
You bring up a good point about the ambiguity of it all, but I think the focus of said ambiguity is targeting the wrong person. I never meant for the MC to be the one people are trying to understand here. It was Ayana. I want the player and the MC to be on the same page. You don't have to agree with him, because he's very much his own person, not a blank canvas, but I want his feelings on any matter to be understood. It's about you trying to understand the person I put in front of the MC, but you're always supposed to know the MC's feelings. And the MC and Ayana's arrangement is apart of that. That was the idea I had in mind.
In a way, the confusion works to its advantage for the reasons you said but I also see where it doesn't work and I'm sort of leaning on that a bit.
Yeah. The game, for the most part, would go unchanged. I would just change the narration, correct some misunderstandings, and revamp the renders with the new models and stuff. For example, the way everyone learns about their relationship is through an exposition dump before Ayana showers. I think that'd work better if she and the MC have a conversation based on that in the beginning. I wouldn't spell it out, but allowing the characters to talk about it briefly I feel is more effective than being told through heavy exposition. In that case I think your main body of touch up work would be clearing up any confusion on the MC's part? It works fine for me but I can't speak for everybody. And the same can be said for Anyana, who works fine for me. More than fine...
So I guess my point is to shape the game as it fits your vision. If you are dissatisfied and wish to change things, don't let a Patreon poll decide for you, it is ultimately your game and I (we) are just along for the ride. And personally, I'd hate to be a backseat driver. Or force you to change the music channel. Your car, your rules.
Definitely not. I should've specified, but all the girls are staying the way they are. I just meant I wanna update Chapter 1 with the MC's new model (as of CH3). I wanna do the same with Ayana's mom Gloria cause I retextured her a bit as well to look her age. Same with MC's mom Susan. Those are the only updates I wanna make in terms of appearances.Wow Chainzero
I love this game. If you update Models PLEASE do not touch Ayana (as of Ch3) she is Perfect. If MC were to be Monogamous - she would be my choice - even as a big fan of harem games - but the other ladies are too lovely to wasteI look forward to the future development of this game.
Thank you
If it makes sense for the characters. Right now I'm focused on telling their individual stories.is there gonna be a harem ending?

I honestly don't know the issue here. A few others have reported the same thing on release day, but I haven't gotten overwhelming reports about it, so I just assume this is a problem on their end. I didn't do anything out of the ordinary for saves to be incompatible that's why this issue is kind of beyond me at the moment. I did upload a fixed version for other bugs a few days ago which hasn't been uploaded here yet. I don't know if this is a contributing factor, but in that fix, I built it after I deleted the persistent data and other saves in my own AppData folder.Anyone else having trouble with the save games from v0.2.0 to v0.2.5? I have tried rollback, ignore, copy and paste and I am still getting kicked back to the start. If this is a one time deal or just my individual issue - okay, if this is like a couple of the other games I have played where every version has to be started from the beginning, well then, no patron and no play.

I honestly can't agree there . I actually really hate painted nails. I like white nails. Hate almost every other color, especially red. Red nails are almost a boner killer for me, seriously. I wish I was making that up, it's that bad, lolChainZero Great update, loved the footjob scene as well like others have mentioned. Hope there will be plenty more feet stuff to come. One small thing though, in chapter 1 Ayana had painted toenails but from chapter 2 onward her feet are back to natural (unpolished). Any chance we can see them restored to their pedicured glory?Personally I just find it gives it that little something extra when a girl has painted toenails
Fair enough, I'm just one person and it is your game so of course you can do whatever you likeI honestly can't agree there . I actually really hate painted nails. I like white nails. Hate almost every other color, especially red. Red nails are almost a boner killer for me, seriously. I wish I was making that up, it's that bad, lol. I don't understand why, but I just really have a strong dislike for painted nails.
That doesn't mean I won't give them painted nails though. I'll do this, primarily because I want them to act as if they were real people with their own preferences, not always catering to my preferences, so I'll definitely do this. It probably just won't be red lol.
