I may have spared both of them just before checking.BTW lately when you change versions it makes the body you create to aproach ,in earlier versions, unable to do so, the buttton to aproach does nothing. Would you like a bug report of that the next time it happens?
The bug goes away by deleting your commander and creating a new one, but maybe you`d like to debug it anyway?
I'd definitely like to debug it if possible, so if you can send a save along with instructions to make the bug reliably happen, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks, works fine on the latest version now.
Following on, Is a Forsaken in the Trainer Position supposed to be a Forsaken you don't intend to deploy? It seems like they never rest, and thus never regain stamina, and thus can't be trained to bring their motivation back up once you deploy them
Either you shouldn't plan on deploying them, or you should swap the position around to give them a chance to recover. The only positions that penalize you for switching are the Punisher ones.
I get what i assume is the same bug occasionally when doing too many saves and loads of the same day trying for different outcomes. Loading any save manually fixes the issue. It doesnt hard lock the ui so i didnt bother to report it before as its fairly minor.
I'd still like to fix it if I can. I'm using the autosave feature a lot during my playtest for the Reason boss fight, so hopefully it crops up in a way that lets me get a better idea of what's happening.
This is what I meant, the tracker does not show that Reign requires a T3 CON or DIG break before performing the despair distortion. It is explained in the actual text, but if someone doesn't expect the requirements to change, then they might not notice the difference.

Thanks for clarifying. I've adjusted how this is displayed in R70.
I tried to make a small mod, adding more items and adjusting some parameters of difficulty curve. I never worked with Java before, but code is always code. Some dumbs guys says you can access source code by decompilating java. Yes sure, you can, but good luck compilation java again. 400 errors on compilation, damn. That's why there isn't any mod in this game. Obviously, you can spend a day debugging all the errors, but how can you be sure the code is the same, and the process of decompilation didn't fuck up anything more.
EDIT1: The source code is in the csv discord. Wouldn't be better in GitHub or Gitlab?
I believe that the game is against their terms of service, so it'd presumably have to be managed somewhere else.
I cannot wait to see how CSDev handles a boss like Reason, from the description of her ability i'm feeling like we're gonna be dealing with someone that's like Junko Enoshima with her Ultimate Analytical Prowess thing, or a premonition ability if she's using a mystical/magical power.
So if she gets a read on what the player's gonna do to win and what they're using, she most likely will be a boss that'll prepare counters to what you have, prepare traps/resistances/immunities to your most used/ most powerful combos. If that's the case that's gonna be very fun to see
You're thinking along the right lines.
Is Change Text Color for Forsaken assuming some kind of weird format? Whatever I input for RGB values, it becomes this weird mustard color
Up to R69, the Forsaken in your Trainer position would always have a specific color. In R70, I've changed it so that player-input colors (and boss colors) override the default Trainer text color.
So, apparently getting a distortion off on Reign counts as a vulnerability break. So triggering one will bump you up one level on her resistance, and will count for the loop 7 skip requirement.
It would help if the wording on Demonic Resonance and/or Fisher King noted that distortions counted as a vulnerability break. Might also help if the campaign map included this.
Good idea - I've adjusted Reign's profile accordingly.

Also, why does this happen? It seems like there's occasionally a 1 turn delay when capturing Reign, and I'm not sure exactly what triggers that.
For referenced - Targeted her with Joyride on round 22, damage was dealt, but the text sounds like Reign immediately escaped capture, and round 23 Joyride's "Prepared to capture Reign". Seems to happen after Reign has a vulnerability break. This also allows you to target Reign with attacks on the round she's captured a second time.
I believe this should be fixed in R70b.
The Elemental Loop Skip doesn't seem to be working. First time around I didn't get the alt route unlocked at the top so I went back to an earlier save (where I definitely wasn't over 5 days) and passed the time all the way to the final battle but it still didn't show up. Upon completing the final battle and getting to the next city option the alt route also doesn't show up there.
I'm not 100% positive that it was the cause of what happened in your save, but R70b does fix a bug where boss Chosen defeated in particular ways could potentially fail to enable the warp route associated with the unlocked species.
I kinda wish there was a vignette checklist/planner in-game for each chosen like distortions do, because flipping between the notepad and game trying to see one of these can be a bit annoying, especially if it's one of the ones with triggers you can lock yourself out of.
This should be added to the game quite soon - not in the coming release, but shortly thereafter.
A quick look says in the current portrait pack, there's 57 chosen, with 9 expression variations, and 8 variations for chosen type. Then there's the civilian and forsaken version for each type, and the male variation for everything on top of that.
Which if my math is correct, means 3,648 portraits with 9 expression variations each, or a grand total of 32,832 potential portraits to be done.
Technically less since I don't think boss chosen have type variations, but that's still just like what just ~10% off the total
So yeah we're going to have to accept that a fair few corners will have to be cut somewhere to accomplish this, because actually making every portrait needed to 'full professional' or fuck even 'decent amateur' standards will take months if not years of work and I don't even know how much money.
Frankly, it'd probably be best to condense the chosen down to like ~10 per type or something rather than having a bunch of chosen with a variation for each type, and have male chosen be specific chosen instead of a variation. That way you can drop the numbers down something like 10 chosen with 9 expression variations each, which reduces the number of portraits needed to like 2% of what the current approach asks for.
I'll fully trust your numbers right now, mostly so I can dunk on the idea of doing ALL portraits.
With extra math, and considering the range of portrait file size (for the base game at least) is around 60KB on the low-end, with the average being around 300-350KB, and 400KB on the relatively high-end, that would be bloating the game size (accounting for the low-end) to:
1,969,920KB or 1.96GB
Which is a whole gigabyte higher than the ENTIRETY of version R66 that stands at a 989MB!
Now if you took the AVERAGE 300KB? It would be 9,849,600KB or in more comprehensible terms, 9.84 GIGABYTES.
Imo that's enough reason to NOT get every single portrait that is "meant" to be in the game, because bloat like that just feels like a Call of Duty situation all over again and will drive away people who want to try out the game, y'know, CoD is like 200GB for some unknown reason (laziness).
Just to sate anyone's curiosity, the high-end (of what i found in the game files for portraits) would be equal to about around 13,123,800KB or 13.12GB, not even of PORN mind you, but at most of blushing girls (or boys for whoever plays with guys, I don't judge) which, at that point, just pack it up.
EDIT: For some reason, my bolding didn't pass through?
There are no plans to add default portraits for the vast majority of the subfolders. They're mainly there so that players who want to have a bunch of variations for their custom Chosen will at least have the feature supported within the game's code. That said, I'm hopeful that switching to the .webp format will help bring the existing size down somewhat.
is there currently a way to get a male chosen to rape/have sex with a female chosen and get them pregnant?
Chosen can't get pregnant until they fall and become Forsaken. But after they do fall, fertilization can happen during custom sex scenes (including scenes between two NPCs). The options menu has a toggle to determine the rate at which it happens.
in the portrait packs i see ones named 'used' which i dont see in the base portraits, is there a list of all possible portrait names in a set?
Because one of the major portrait packs included "used" and "smug" expressions, I added support for the game to check whether those expressions existed in the game files, and the game will use them in place of "lewd" and "joy" respectively when deciding what to show for Forsaken characters.
Hey CSDev, after you finish adding the things you have planned for the campaign, do you still plan to flesh out and expand on the sex system? I feel like if there's a weakest link in the game, that would be it, it still feels kinda shallow compared to everything else the game has going.
Yes, this is exactly the plan. After the first ending of campaign mode is completed, I'm mostly going to be alternating between adding endings and adding better custom sex scene content.
