You yourself also have to wait like 5 days and then do a mission to be able to fuck with you.
Dont make me launch it just to win and argument on the internet!!!
Dont make me...

I launched it.....
Yeah, you right.

There's also Elyon
Literally who?
the new fox husband who require quests.
Ok, I dont want to check, I believe you here.

MC is practically an observer
Nasty minded psychic vampire!?
if CoC2 had really good story
Thats the trick, there are no story. There are only sequence of some loosely related events that doesnt combines into story.

Reading all of these ideas to make the game better instead of catering towards the devs' fetishes alone seems to be way too much for their pride / ego.
That's right, it's power fantasy so this is a no no too. tsk tsk

That’s not the point I was trying to make at all. What I meant is that the combat of Dark Souls—which Savin was using as an example of how things could go wrong—is a poor parallel; because unlike say the sidequests in that game (which usually go wrong in some way regardless of what you do), the combat is 100% in the player’s hands and—with total mastery, as you rightfully point out—can be executed flawlessly, achieving a perfect result. (The equivalent in a VN would be making all the right choices and getting the secret harem ending.) This goes against what Savin was trying to demonstrate, namely that things go wrong and the player can do nothing about it.
You've healed my soul with your words and now i agree with you wholeheartedly

Thank you gamer, I knew I could rely on you.
As you said - Savin has a point. I don't really envy a lot of porn game developers, because at the end of the day, not every player enters the game with a clear state of mind.
The validity in his viewpoint is about games sometimes having things you don't like or have no control of. The other side of this is that most games give you conclusions you the player can feel satisfied with even despite the speedbumps. This isn't exactly a revolutionary take. Even rhythm games made for children adhere to these general principals. Space Channel 5 part 2 (rip dreamcast) has Ulala lose her first head to head with the antagonist and Fuse suffers for it. But, by the end of the game she wins, everybody is happy, and you dance across the stars. Satisfied in all ways.

If that's too abstract, the point of the product you're producing depends on the genre. In the porn game space unless you're breaking the mold, that entire goal is player satisfaction. How you reach that endpoint depends on your capability of a writer.

In the aforementioned souls example, the entire point and the reward comes from overcoming the challenge.
In a porn game, you exist to attract, excite, and satisfy the player.

never being in a position where it's impossible to fail.
You can full auto this game on dark.

I'm going to put the rest of this response in a block of text as it's getting lengthy and I've got other stuff to talk about.

Even today the responses you see to questions and requests to something as innocent as "can there be a ______" always ends up being "if you write it". Or "if you commission it"
Which is...
Look, if a game with 200 patrons can implement fan requests and still deliver a phenomenal experience, there's absolutely no excuse for something raking in the bread.

Oh hell. I wanted to save this segue for later a topic in the TiTS discussion but on the topic of quality.

How i enjoy scrolling through the forum and watching people keep writing essays on essays about why the game is bad and how the devs are egotistical coomers that dont know what sunlight is.It is fun and also very sad at the same time because not only will the devs never do any positive changes to the game(Good example being introducing some consistency between the scenes ffs) but it will keep being a downwards spiral until the game is finally "finished".Its a shame really but sadly our voices will never be heard.Cheers to the people that care and write these essays for me to enjoy though!

Someone writing a well-thought out essay about their viewpoints on the game instead of just screaming cucksavintobsshitterwaifupls makes for a much better thread. And most don't come here to change the dev's minds on things, we know they won't listen. This place is more for venting.

Rescue Solaire or *ahem* let him find his sun.
Bro, I didn't know! I was too late to save him T.T

Road to 1.5k or even 2k pages before the purge!

Hmm, reading some of the paragraphs here reminds me some of mine way way back when I was still a normal cat before turning to this piece of shit cactus state.

And I'm glad to say, the unhinged paragraph rant I did still applies today.
I wonder if I wish on a comet to make at least the PC be consistent like an average person in this game from the way we act, would the comet do a full 180? :KEK:

'Cause even now I'm still questioning how we can keep killing imps and centaur leaders but them demon generals or those annoying thieves in the KhorMinos or whatever they're called in front of us defeated and the option is to just say 'em, fuck off?

We need the remove content option on everything else like how we have that on the annoying elf-horse-man-thing in the starting forest? Ah fuck, the power fantasy police is he-

All this power fantasy made me realize something. As much as I think it has the opposite problem, I do still enjoy LT for what it's worth. I honestly feel like it's the anti-thesis of CoC or TiTS as a whole. On one hand, you have a dev that's uncompromising, thick headed and honestly a little stupid. On the other, you have a dev that folds easily, caters a bit too much to people, and basically lets modders run free for absolutely everything.

Both Fen and Savin suffer as egotistical morons who can't make a solidified plotline without a bunch of patrons being close to or just as dumb as them muddying the waters with completely unrelated content. On the flipside, pretty much every character Inno makes is her own, with OCs being pretty rare. In fact, I can't quite remember any OCs aside from one of the store owners, who's writer I think abandoned her and she's stayed the same ever since.

I think for both games, CoC has a narrative problem, while I think LT has a gameplay problem. Both are significant enough to ruin everything else about the game, but at least LT is a nice character molder for which anime character do I want to dick down next.

LT dev aware that hes doing a bad job developing it. At least barely, since it discord make jokes about 'sorry about late update'.
Try to say same thing to S or F and you get ass fucked(futa, domination, mind break, bad end, breeding, non consent).

Yeah ngl, this game really hate letting the players top men, maybe it's a "power fantasy" to be top I guess. It's really piss me off.
Having recently replayed the first CoC I don't feel like it's especially kind to gay players either. More than CoC 2 of course but that's a given. These days I just play Flexible Survival when I'm in the mood to get in on with dudes.
