The Dev's being toxic, spiteful assholes should matter, their lack of care and attention to detail should matter, their dumbass story beats should matter, their busted combat system should be matter.
They don't get a pass just because they aren't the worst in the industry.

Like completely scrapping Resolve mechanic, and everything tied to it. Completely breaking the balance in the process, solidifying Charmer as the strongest class in the game, because teasing now deals damage to HP instead of Resolve.
If anything, Thief is the strongest. Twist the Knife is completely bonkers, and if you’re seething about flashing your ass being OP, I really don’t think that’s enough to drag the game to 1 star.

I am not qualified to bitch about the combat mechanics as I excessively cheat my stats in these games.
I disagree on that, when the resolve bar was still around tease damage guaranteed you'd win a fight and Charmer was storngest when it was around, since the resolve bar would always have the same number for all enemies you can just tease your way to victory even if your build was pure warrior with no tease buff items.

Honestly speaking, I don't really hate CoC2 nearly as much as a lot of people on this thread seems to. Most text based porn games are even shittier than this and there's not a lot of games that appeal to my impreg fetish as much as this one. I agree it has a ton of faults but I, personally, think it's a decent enough game, especially compared to a lot of the dreck on this site.

As long as my character ain't getting cucked (out of my control, anyway), the main focus is on my character, and there is no anti "power fantasy" brigade going on, there's a high chance I will think that game is better than COC2. But I can be surprised.
Having a developer that actively engages with the audience in a positive manor is a pretty big plus in my book as well.

Plus, with all due respect, nothing we do here is ever gonna reach CoC2's team with the strength of anything besides a fair breeze. Or at least, I hope that's as far as it goes. That'd be some flakey shit, being annoyed over their rating at a goddamn piracy site.
I do think we should can the star system, actually - but I think that for all reviews, period, for everything. Numerical scores just discourage critical thinking, and they almost always break down as soon as you start comparing them against other scores.
