Miko needs a rewrite; the way her speaking lines are written just makes them difficult to read, for no good reason whatsoever.

Generally speaking I think most of the game is good (as far as writing is concerned at least) but there are so MANY interesting characters that have little to no content; Nelia, the Baroness, Komari, all of the Gods (the list goes on and on)... I'm sure they were written as one off's but that just seems like a waste of potential (and a waste of dev time)...

Pretty sure all of those characters have planned content, it just hasn't happened yet.

It's kinda amusing to see when a person makes a post complaining why other people are complaining about a specific topic. I could certainly complain why people bother asking why people complain but I don't cause there's no point.

COC II a good game with great potential that's continually held back by bullshit, most of which is on the dev's fault. People like to rant when they get butthurt(me included) by something they like and find enjoyment in it when other people agree or have similar opinions. If the dev's weren't trolls that wrote content specifically to spite people, didn't argue over the most arbitrary of bullshit and could take constructive criticism like proper fucking adults, I highly doubt most of us fans would even do shit post ranting but it's completely different when you find yourself on the receiving end of the dev's bullshit, especially so when they directly rub the salt in the wound just to fuel their little ego's.

I mean that's fine, and I get where you guys are coming from, but it just seemed like you all just hated the game and the devs and just are here out of some weird sunk cost fallacy. That's really the only reason I came in here and asked that. Wasn't my intention to start shit, I was just genuinely curious why people kept up with the game while constantly shitting on it and not seeing much praise(if any, I don't bother checking this thread often enough to know). I wasn't necessarily trying to complain about your complaints, just trying to offer my viewpoint and ask about yours to understand YOUR viewpoint. I get the same way about Kingdom Hearts so I definitely get it now, it just didn't really click with me when I read through everybody's posts though. Thank you for elaborating, even if you didn't explicitly mean to help me understand.

The reason I ask in the first place is because I like understanding why people do things and I'm retarded enough to not know until they specifically tell me. Even if it's just an emotional reaction that doesn't have much reason or logic behind it, I still like to hear the thought process behind the person themself.

So in a kinda interesting tidbit, I read on the Discord a pitch Savin made to reduce companion characters he was writing if he had to do it again.

Said he'd basically fold Caits story into Ryns, so it would be Ryns sister who got kidnapped and Ryn riding down from Winter City looking for help.

Ryn would be female, and Cait would be mostly gone, except Ryn has a womb tattoo like Caits that Kas put on her, that the champ could mess with to make her way hornier in case you want to lead her into being a turboslut.

Sounded interesting.

Also, Arona wouldn't be a companion, just a content heavy NPC in the ogre camp.

Dont worry friend they must only reading first sentence or misintrepet and respond with hostility
if you want to know why this game live rent free in everyone head(including me)is because
1.Incosistency of the writing(savin have multiple writer so dont be surprised if your character acting have multiple personality)
2.Some of the art(again the game have different artist both submitted from fans or from the staff,personally didnt have a problem with it)
3.Lack of content when the game is updated
4.Some of the team interaction with fans can be a bit unprofessional(responding harsly to critic even suggestion,ban hamer on the forum etc)
5.TheObserver(dont get me wrong this guy writing is good if he didnt templar crusading on forum and the game alike)

the game still have many glaring problem that didnt get explained but i hope my comment can satisfy your curiosity (sorry fr bad english)

This remastered version looks like it will fix a alot of issues I have with the game but Savin chucking his cat waifu? I find it hard to believe, did he browse F95 or something? Lol. Anyway he should go ahead with it. It would be appreciated if you share screenshots so my hopes can't be dashed

OK I'm genuinely confused as to why this thread is just a breeding grounds for hate circlejerking the game. It's really obvious a lot of you have a ton of grievances surrounding the game, and that's fine, I get it. The Observer's content is complete dogshit that conflicts with the rest of the game(and every other Fenoxo game), they add a ridiculous amount of lore nobody gives a shit about, the game has massive tonal issues(do you want everybody fucking each other or do you want me to take this seriously devs?), blah blah, the list goes on. I don't keep up with whatever retarded drama the devs get themselves into but that seems to also be a recurring theme in this thread.

But why do you guys keep coming in here just to be bitter and disappointed about the game?

If you guys seriously dislike the writers and content enough to complain about it basically every page of the thread, why even bother keeping up with the game?

While there is no content in this game that I outright love, I do fairly enjoy the early kitsune content when Kinu a child and the fox slut still stuck in the Astral Realm. It's pretty wholesome from what I remember of it and thankfully for my sanity, there's no fucking dick girls involved lol

Personally, I find it valuable to examine and critique writing while hearing about other's opinions about said writing. And let's be frank here: most porn game writing sucks, so when a porn game comes along that has decent writing (most of the time) it's going to come under more scrutiny simply because of how little there is out there. And with the writers being so public with their personal beliefs, it's easy to get frustrated with the game because you can see how good it could be if the writers weren't a mess of issues.

Though speaking of analysis, CoC 2 is such a fascinating topic to examine! It's obviously meant to be sex positive, considering how casual most of the sex is in the game and how willing everyone is. But then it takes it too far and thinks that sex positivity means 'everything sexual is fine.' Which leads to characters like Cait, who the game obviously wants you to view as some strange catgirl turboslut saint, when other's have rightfully pointed out that she's a member of a sex cult who raise children to be prostitutes, and who are exposed to sex at a very young age (which is not good for having a healthy childhood, let me tell you.) And I say that as someone who loves turboslut catgirls.

It would be one thing if it was just a fantasy 'fuck everyone who's willing' thing, but it has lore and worldbuilting and plot, so you can't just brush stuff like that under the rug. And this isn't a problem of combining porn and typical fantasy writing, I think you can combine the two but you have to be careful not to create the exact problems CoC 2 has. Throw in the problem where the writers put their kinks in so many situations (in a game which supposedly lets you choose which content you want to do) that it feels like the game is pushing you to do something you're not comfortable with (cough cough dickgirls and horsecocks cough cough), and you have a recipe for a game that could be fantastic but isn't. And I think it's important to look at what works and what doesn't, even just for the sake of engaging and critically thinking about something.

But writing her female from the beginning is a whole different story.

The goal of this (theoretical, not at all real) change is to reduce the weight of Savin writing three companions and Ryn being so apparently difficult to write for.

I've finally figured out how I should have done one Companion AND made Ryn less of a mess at the same time. ... Just have Arona be a content rich NPC in her camp. At the start of the game, PRINCESS CAIRYN arrives in Hawkethorne having ridden there all the way from Winter City. She'd attempted to reach the castle but was turned aside by the cultists who're now sacrificing {Ryn's retainer that came with her?}. Tutorial plays out basically as normal otherwise.

Have Ryn just start out with her max curviness and ditch Confidence/Libido. Rather than a magic cage, Alissa put a womb brand on her like Cait has that renders her impotent {infertile? Probably would be female-sexed in this variation} and only Alissa has the means of turning it off (her soul, still). Replace her meters with a Trust meter: getting it to medium requires being nice to Ryn, and gets rid of her stutter. Getting it to high then requires banging her and brings her libido back; banging her without being nice first doesn't move the Trust bar.

Then you'd just have needed a [ryn.trustlnh] parser and a [ryn.isVirile/Fertile] parser; you can turn the latter on and off at-will using Alissa's soulstone. Maybe a [ryn.isSlutty] one for some Cait flavoring you can turn on by rubbing her on Arona/Eve/etc., or having Evergreen supercharge the womb tatt give her turbohorni. And [ryn.isMilky] for reasons.

This is for TiTS, but CoC2 probably has a lot of the same crowd, but anyway Savin said that they polled their patrons and futa was in the top three most popular fetishes. So, while I don't really get it either, it does appear to be that popular.
