Nice. But why the number on this thread title still say 2.40?
Because the version in the OP is 0.2.40 so the threads title is 0.2.40, the OP just hasn't been updated to the latest release yet (0.2.47) when it has the threads title will also be changed to the latest version.

sooo...the whole kitsune tf and this whole thing about "dead inside", "soulless husk" and whole that shit? fuck it. it is not worth it to lose your soul so early in game development, to become kitsune. with measly four tails mind you(is it possible to add more tails? or it's kind of future quest shit that they will add way more later?)
I hate this game. the way they made their kitsunes...urg. I miss the coc1. there you could be whoever you want, be completely corrupted, but still able to say"fuck you" to anybody who wants to take your soul. no bitches, its mine. the whole point of game was that if you lost your soul, then welcome to the bad end. in coc2 you basically any body bitch, simple watcher of action everybody does. don't feel like I'm a mc of the game.

The writer said it's tied to your level. So whenever they add more levels, you'll get another tail as the cap increases. And yikes, yeah I'm really iffy on the permanent kitsune tf, don't think I'll do it. And since I don't touch Kiyoko's content, not much motivation to become like her.

I think that increase in results from sex is a nice change. What's the point of the virility, fertility stats if that stat only effects a smallest portion of NPCs? Also a part of life on the setting is supposedly having children on the frontier to populate the land.
Of course there's no point, and don't act like kids won't be a disappointment, we've got the foxkid for example.

how do you navigate to the save files? cant seem to find them
I think the To-File saves are right there in the game folder. Unless you're saving in-game...in which case I don't know.

On the topic of the kitsune TF, I suggest we detach from the role and make two physical, to-file saves. We take the deal on one and leave the other untouched. I mean, we have to become a player, not our player character. If that makes sense.

I wonder what route kasyrra is going to be in the future. She's manipulative ambitious and pretty damn evil.

Buuuut that one failure ending with the rat professor thing is pretty out of character as she's apparently "in love" with the protagonist. I'm assuming I read that wrong as I skimmed through the whole thing, but it was like a 180 for the character and very jarring.

Are failure endings even canon? Can we consider what happens in them as part of the characters?
The official word on that is no, bad ends don't reflect the "truth" of the situation and shouldn't be seen as insight into the characters.

Especially when it comes to Kasyrra. Her content is meant to be dynamic and change in tone depending on how you choose to interact with her.

I just played though the game. Do you even read anything outside of the perks and buffs? Kero's makes you his champion, gives you a place in the sun where you're a fucking lord of the kitsune, explains that while you're 'empty' you can still feel emotion. Trying to shield you from organisming your soul out if worse comes to. And you're saying that your character's not the MC?

Get some reading comprehension. Learn a bit about Japanese behind the kitsune. You'll be able to enjoy the route with just one or the other. Also on the tails, you get one tail per level above level 1. Level 5, 4 tails; level 10, 9 tails presumably. Also did you know a kitsune typically needs 100 years to grow one tail?

Haven't played it yet but it sounds like just more of pretentious Observer mini-novel slogs in a porn game.

"Learn a bit about Japanese behind the kitsune" lol, just lol.

Fine fuck just call them Japanese fox people to distinguish them from the rest of the lupine. They got special fire unlike other fox people because they from Japan-land and worship the original fox person thing from before Japan-land Why even bother with a story, huh?

no matter how positively you can describe something it's still not the thing that benefits you. you can even shit gold with keros tf for all I care but you still lose a soul for that. and for whole list of those measly benefits I think it's not worth it
fuck, it's difficult to explain my point in English but I will try.
yeah, I dont feel like I'm a mc in coc2. why? well, let me do my explaining by examples.
in coc1 its i that decides to become kitsune. it's only through my actions. its me who explored deepwoods. I found a kitsune. i got a jevel from one of kitsune. I experimented with it and found that it's a kitsune tf. it's me who found shrine. I decided to meditate with it. I discovered that it will give me the nineth tail and final perk. its was all my doing through my exploration of game.
and imagine that you didn't know that metal relic quest will give you a way to kitsune tf in coc2. I from beginning wished to become kitsune since I played like one on coc1. and after completing this quest suddenly keros appears in waystone/shrine square and suddenly:"so, I, great 'insertsomegodlingdesription' Keros decided, that I can turn you into kitsune, but I will take your soul for that and describe this whole thing with some unflattering word that will make you queasy" and all you can its agree to it or not. the whole game seems to me that I didn't make any starting action and story driving, I feel like I'm only reacting to thing that happens around me, like I'm floating in river and can only react to turns and fork of the river.
and I really dont care for the whole Japanese kitsune thing and all that. I know plenty of it and that why I said that I dont like how they made in the game. I liked how kitsune was in coc1. how I could become nine tails in couple of days.
the thing about 100 years for 1 tail? yeah, know it too. I'm sure I can make joke about that thing and a porn game but I'm feeling lazy after some many words I already typed.

What the hell does learning japanese have to do with any of this?!?!?! Do you seriously think that this author went out of his way to learn japanese mythology and culture? NO. It's surface level shit. He wanted to add fox people in a Japanese style land and created some mumbo jumbo crap for his story. It's just the aesthetic, everything else is made up. That's it.
It's like people forget what game we're playing.

No dude, I definitely remember in my Japanese class learning about foxes being emotionless to prevent them from losing their soul in a atomic orgasm. LOL

If there were a way to reverse it besides save scumming/editing I'd be all for it.

So in the original, you picked up some junk dropped by an NPC, eventually went to a shrine. Then used the item to transform. Now you go to an NPC get some dialog as well as exposition on what this transformation is as well as insurance if you lose the transformation for whatever reason and want to get the original one back quick. Making you resistant to being transformed too. Not forcing your hand, just a choice that you can save before doing if you're having second thoughts. With multiple warnings before hand that this is a permanent. The area specially designed around building up that transformation, yet this is somehow worse?

You could reverse it in the previous one. This one you can't by the sound of it. I'd rather have player agency than a permanent game condition. Argument being 'well just don't choose it then', if this is all there is then maybe turn this campy way of doing it into an actual quest. If we're talking about how easy it is to back out of it or slip into it despite the warnings, then maybe have a series of events or outcomes that are not just flat out giving you something. Assuming there's special fox people powers in exchange for losing your soul. Etc.
