So basically Cait fucks corrupted creatures with no consequences and then kissing her ass removes corruption.
Cait is a biological device that consumes corruption and dispenses purity.
And she also shits with a butterflies.
This will be a canon soon.

How do you get corrupt? By not being good. How do you lose corruption? By being virtuous. Corruption isn't necessarily evil btw :WaitWhat:
Yes, but this pretty much only applies to the Player Character since it gives you options. A majority of other characters are corrupt (and soulless) from means outside of their control.

Also, why does some pretty corrupt actions DOES give corruption points but some dont? Rapes, for example.
Because the risk losing money on patreon, since patreon big NO NO with RAPE thanks for pornhub shit show.

In all seriousness, definition being corrupt in CoC 2 is like average chaos route in smt, where our red demon gf imply that she want bring technology if i remember correctly. Being corrupted is just mean you submit to your deepest desire. Because of that, nobody give a shit even if you 100 corrupt. Unlike in CoC 1 where you can't go in teldare and the mouse girl will despise you, and some companion leave you if you risk getting corrupted. You can't also use certain weapon. Hell even their dream are different if you have high corrupt point. They have significant impact. CoC 2 doesn't have that. You can have sex with anyone including cait, and no one give a shit even tho she adamant she hate cult. CoC 2 corrupt are very tame. Like giving adult game rating E. You can't rape, blackmail, hypnosis. All of them are very basic corrupt move. Instead you spread corruption like STD

Is there a reason to use Patreon over Subscribestar nowadays? I've seen a lot of games there getting over 10k$ a month so clearly it's not that bad? I assume the main reason for them is because they started using patreon long before it went 1984 and are afraid that they will lose some people when transitioning from one platform to another.

Mainly asking cause I've been working on my own text based game for quite some time, and since it has a lot of corruption content I wonder whether I should try to keep it down to please patreon moderators or just ignore them and use subscribestar.

Also can't there be some workaround having a tame main game and a "mod" with rougher content that mysteriously gets updated and posted on discord by someone "completely unrelated" to the dev?

Don't know if it's still the case, but I've heard some users complain they can't use Paypal with Subscribestar.

Spreading STD-s is more corrupt move than anything corruption related in coc2.

Patreon 1984 games pretty selectively. Some games that contains 'insect' are banned while others are no. Guess fans of 'untouchable' games from patreon stuff involved here.

The only way I can see is to collect money for developing an engine, without any porn attached to it, like "yooo, guys, check out my game engine for text based games on github, support me on patreon" and than post 'actual' game as some "_xx_T.O.B.S.2007_xx_" somewhere.

Ignore and use subscribestar, I beg you. So fucking sick of people pussyfooting around patreon rules.

This is pretty much what every other dev does but I don't think the devs are even interested in the stuff Patreon restricts. Also they purposely make their game a bitch to mod.

I guess I'll start there. It's not like there is any hard rape, rather stuff like drugs/aphrodsiac when player has manticore based body, or hypnosis / mind control if the player is kitsune/incubus. I think the roughest stuff comes from Hellhound mc, but I assume it falls under "It's not rape if they are enjoying it" rule, which coc and tits are using.

Funnily enough I had less negative feedback about stuff like drugs and hypnosis and more about having male Hellhound / Manticore mc. I had one guy telling me that that's wrong since they can be only females, and that I should stop writing such blasphemy :KEK:

That's weird, personally I'd love to even include editor. That way everyone can add their content without having to ask permission, or me proofreading it, and just leave it on discord in mod section. Hell, if it gets popular I wouldn't even mind including them as optional endorsed mods in the base game package, with links to the author's page/patreon if they have one.
If people want to add more optional/non canon content to my game on their own, why shouldn't I make it as easy as possible for them? I guess I'm just not a professional smut writer / game designer :(

Their current games being locked to modding is pretty much a conscious decision caused by PTSD suffered after indeed "everyone added their content without having to ask permission" to COC1. Turns out your game becoming a walking collection of mods and a kitchen sink can be a mixed blessing.

Well but does that matter as long as mods aren't considered canon? I guess it may be irritating to them since they have money to hire a bunch of writers, and modders can take the game in the direction they don't like.
But as someone who is a one man band responsible for writing, coding, and basic art, it's not like in any position to say no to anyone willing to add side content to the game.

It should generally be easy to make it so they can add content but they can't change / override any characters / content in the main game.

From what other users have said, they stopped mod support because they didn't want people confusing the mod stuff to be in the actual game(Such as loli content or what have you). This isn't a problem for literally any other game in existence so... not even sure what to make of it myself.

Also I'm curious now, what's the main focus of your game besides corruption? Is it just a spiritual successor to CoC1 or is it trying to be its own thing?

Quite a bit actually.
For example, to talk about a different game, its often tossed around that modding was one of the reasons the dev of Free Cities disappeared. The mods for the game involved a whole bunch of stuff that was, legally, in a pretty rough spot in some countries (including wherever the Free Cities dev was), and they got really popular, which meant that that stuff was associated directly with him. He asked at one point for the cessation of it, but of course it didn't happen. And now freecitiesdev is gone (though they disappeared without explanation or any contact).

CoC1 kinda got put in a similar position. The game was distributed all over the place, and there was no real way to control it, so in a bunch of places the game with a bunch of stuff the devs didn't really want to be associated with was being linked directly to them. On top of that, people would submit bug reports and message the devs pertaining to modded versions of the game, which were of course a waste of everyone's time.

It's also compounded by the idea that there's an official way to get your content directly into the game, so modding could be seen a bit less necessary than other titles. Doesn't affect gameplay mods ofc.

It was apparently overall just a huge hassle, and with them wanting to monetize future games on platforms outside their website, they decided to just ban mods on the forum in the future.

Problem of fenoxo, as programmer, who (still) hasnt learned jack shit about programming.
Flash is able to read files, and its possible to create programs on it that read outside files (of flash packaged app) as binary data before using them inside of a program. All still alive coc (xinxia is the only one, AFAIK) mods/continuations are struggling in its development, due to both flash obsolence and because original coc code is """""not good""""". Like it pile garbage on top of previous garbage instead of refactoring, increasing technical debt and creating problems with future development.

And than again, coc source (aka all porn) was available on github for quite some time. Any associations with/of/about/for mod content could have been rejected by 'this is a mod, check official github page history, there are no any mentions of this', but he choose way of least resistance.

Your companion will be getting a daedric artifact out of it, while you get sacrificed in a gripping act of selflessness to save Quinn! How noble! Also, it takes away your dick and makes you want to be dommed by dick girls.
Elaborate. Where can this artifact be found...

"Your dick is taken away and you want to get dommed by futas" frankly sounds like just another CoC2 Tuesday.

I looked at the stuff I liked, like corruption, netori, maledom, monster girls, and realized there are few games that scratch that itch. We have games with monster girls, like monster girl dreams, but they largely focus either on femdom or vanilla content.

The general idea is that you are a newborn demon (demons are not inherently antagonistic in this world, more akin to fey) who belongs to a noble lineage. Except a war before your birth fucked up the whole world. So you awaken amidst ruins with nothing to your name.

You have a realm that can be heavily customized, similar to daedric prince realms from TES series. It plays like a mix of Castles from HOMM series and farms from stardew valley. This is your personal world and your base of operations.

Mortal worlds are split between people loyal to demons and those who fought against them. Potential targets can be both people eager to serve, like cultists, and people who want to kill you.
Due to lore reasons most corruption targets are virgins, and I eventually plan all central characters to be available in both monster girl and monster boy flavors (although they will share most content, only changing smut scenes).

No main quest, you are just left to your own devices. There are "ambitions", like becoming as powerful as possible, seducing a queen, creating your own race, becoming a patron deity of a race, etc. They are meant to provide a direction without chaining you to a single questline.

Fewer player races and transformations, but each with gameplay changing abilities which unlock new scenes and new ways to corrupt mortals. Since there is no combat you can treat these as classes which you can freely swap. Gain enough experience and you unlock that bodies parts and abilities for creating you own custom class/tf.

Sorry for writing a wall of text lol, I don't think this is a place for this kind of posts. Just ranting while I wait for godot 4.0 to release so that I can start migrating code from the previous version and fixing all the stuff that will inevitably break.
